My consistent problems with other self tan products are: a. the smell, b. patchiness on the insides of my elbows, wrists, and on my knuckles, c. the excessively dark color guard that is unwearable and forces me to only apply before bed, d. longevity, and e. dry time. This has no yucky faux tan smell, there's a slight coconut scent (I strongly dislike coconut smells and this one doesn't bother me) but it's also light and fresh without being too much. There's no patchiness when applied, days in, or as the color is fading. The color ‚Äúguard‚Äù (if that's what you want to call it) is olive-toned - the product looks like a clay colored mousse when dispensed - but not a fluffy mousse, it's thick and dense so you need a minimal amount of product. The color is dark enough to give me an instant tan but light enough that I don't need to wash it off before going out. The color is instantly beautiful on my very fair skin and immediately looks like I have a natural olive tan. I don't have to wash this off because it doesn't look like I smeared dirt all over my face from being so dark, so I can apply this day or night and it's completely wearable. Literally, the immediate color is so pretty that I wouldn't have been disappointed if it didn't develop any darker (which is does)! The color payoff after fully developed is grocery's and looks like I spent two weeks on a tropical island. One application lasts about 5-6 days and I'm a ‚Äúdaily soak in the tub for at least an hour‚Äù type. And finally, what makes this the real winner in my book is that it dries literally within seconds. Because of this, you do need to apply in smaller sections (like once on lower arm, another on upper arm, another on hand, etc) and not like a whole limb at a time, but each section blends in flawlessly with no added effort. Within ten seconds (not joking, it's fast) your skin doesn't feel any different than it did before application - no lotion feels, no greasy feels, no drying feels, and (the worst) no sticky feels! I truly can't say enough good things about this product. I've tried so many self-tan products (no less than 50 different kinds of various methods, prices and brands) and from the first use I could tell this was unlike anything else I'd tried. I am so glad I purchased this, as I really didn't think it would be any different than any other mousse - I couldn't have been more wrong. If you're dependent on self-tanning like me, you absolutely will not regret this purchase!Most Helpful Critical ReviewCOMPLETELY MORTIFIEDI went out and bought this product the same day I watched Carli Bybel's video about it on YouTube. I was so excited for it. It looked very easy to use and very fool proof. Not only that but it made her skin look amazing, very glowing and vibrant. I followed all of her steps and her tips and tricks. When the foam came out it did have a green tint to the brown but I still trusted in it thinking it would change or alter once it hit my skin or even overnight. It did not. I waited not only the 6 hours but I waited 8 total before showering and my skin stayed looking exactly the same as when I put it on hours earlier. Not a single thing changed. My neck area also became very patchy over time. As well as the backs of my arms. I also applied to my face as some people do and that was a huge mistake as well. My face probably came out the patchiest and greenest looking. I thought even still with the green tint now on my skin that it would somehow change over night as well. No. I woke up looking like a dark green olive or shrek if you will. I was also so upset that I had no only listened to Carli about her saying that it didn't transfer or get on any of her clothing or sheets, I thought to myself she must have expensive bedding and clothing like me so I trust she actually tested it but now I'm not so sure. I had even read in multiple places that it didn't transfer. Mine very much did, it ruined my pajamas, pillow cases, and my entire $400 sheet set and that was AFTER waiting about an hour and a half to do anything after applying it. Thankfully I bought the tan eraser. I sadly did not think I would be using it the next day as I initially bought it to use it weekly to re apply my new tan. Sorry to say I won't be buying this product again, and at this point I will be returning it to Walgreens. I wouldn't recommend it either. I know this company is known for having amazing tanning products and maybe like others have said, the 1 hour express is their true only holy grail. This product specifically is not the one. I have read in multiple places that this is the worst product they have ever made and now i believe it. I love the aero mousse even more than the foam mousse. The amount of product lasts a lot longer and the application is very smooth and forgiving. It doesnt smell weird as far as self-tanners go, and it doesnt stain my clothes. I will say that it is a little annoying to buy the aero products online, because there's about a 75% chance the bottle won't have a lid. I'm not sure why some don't have lids on them, but it makes them more difficult to store and the part where the mousse actually comes out is sometimes broken off of the bottle itself. I have been self tanning for many years and gave tried a gauntlet of products. my absolute favorite is the bondi sands tanning foam in ultra dark. I had seen mixed reviews on the Aero mousse so when it went on sale, I decided to give it a try. This product is absolutely HORRIBLE! 💯 I applied it the first night with my gloves (as usual) and then waited 30 minutes and applied a second coat per the instructions. First of all, it was very sticky and never completely dried down like the foam does. Here's the kicker. The next morning when I got in the shower to rinse off the color guide, EVERYTHING came off! Like wow! So, I decided later on that evening to apply a 3rd coat. I didn't do another one 30 minutes later because I had already done 3 coats in less that 24 hours. The next morning when I went to rinse off, moat of it came off but it left awful patches and streaks everywhere! I looked awful! I had to go to work the next day looking like this too! 😩 It was totally embarrassing. So needless to say, I used my Bondi Sands self tan eraser and a exfoliating glove and got that mess off and put on my regular Bondi Sands tanning foam. I now have a beautiful glowing tan again and will be running 🏃‍♂️ to Ulta to return this hot mess of a product!Yeah duh it's green5Madison from SLCThis self tan is my FAV especially for a pre-vacation glow. It has olive undertones which makes the end result look very natural and keeps you from looking orange. That being said, when you first apply it will make you look like she-hulk! Just put it on overnight and rinse it off in the morning. Dont apply if you'll be seeing anyone for the next 8 hours lol. Once you rinse it off the color is amazing and lasts for around a week or so for me if I moisturize well. It goes on very dark and does dry quickly so apply in small sections at a time and work quickly to blend. I personally love that it's so easy to tell where ive already applied it and where i havent so i end up with a smoth finish as opposed to a foam tanner that goes on clear and develops over time — I always end up patchy with those bc i cant tell where the self tan is. My skin is fair with an olive undertone, so I was looking for a tanner that wouldn't turn me orange. The product is easy to use, I didn't experience any streaking or patchiness. The scent is very very strong, but this is the only self tan I've ever used so I don't have another to compare it to. I left it on for 12 hrs and got a beautiful, natural glow. It's a little more subtle than I was expecting, but I did a second layer after 30 mins on my arms and legs and it definitely gave me a little more depth. The undertone is warm and olive, which is exactly what I wanted! Overall I'm very happy with the product, 4 stars because the places where I did a second layer were pretty sticky, and the scent was a lot for me, my boyfriend could smell it across the room. I really like the regular dark as it does really look natural on me. I'm super fair naturally and this just gives me that perfect "baked" glow.
