At first I was kind of "eh" about it after a quick sniff on my sleeve and gave the sample to my 13 year old daughter. She asked for a bottle for Christmas (she definitely prefers more mature fragrances than, say, a Bath and Body Works scent. After I bought it for her, I sprayed it again on myself and my skin and I absolutely fell in love. I literally couldn't stop smelling my wrists all day. First of all, the staying power is fantastic compared to so many other fragrances. Prior to this I was wearing Burberry Her for a bit and was so frustrated it lasted all of 10 minutes before ghosting on me. With Irresistible, I can still smell it 24 hours after spraying it on. Usually I lean more toward fruity and/or gourmand scents as opposed to florals. The scent of Irresistible is far more lovely and complex then the first impression. It's definitely a pretty floral but the woody notes that come in keep it from being a basic run of the mill floral, it gives it almost an earthy tone which makes it interesting and sophisticated. My favorite part though is the dry down, it settles into a beautiful, soft, almost almost creamy musk with the slightest soapy undertone. I am a fragrance fiend and so often I find a scent I love but they usually lack a key component whether it's longevity or complexity or uniqueness...this encompasses all of the above and more. I'm currently wearing it in the bitter cold months of a Philadelphia winter, I'm curious to see how it changes in the hot and humid summer months. Overall I would absolutely purchase this again and again and 10 out of 10 recommend it to anyone but stress tang you HAVE to try it on your skin first, not just your clothes or a tester strip,to experience all it has to offer.Most Helpful Critical ReviewI can go without...I got this in a sample bag and was really excited to try it. Unfortunately, it just isn't a fragrance I'm crazy about to purchase. Upon spraying, I could immediately smell a fruity scent with hints of alcohol, so the top notes come off as a strawberry champagne or fruity wine fragrance, similar to the body sprays you can find at VS or drugs stores. It quickly transitions into white musk with very fine floral undertones which last the longest; a combination that reminded me of a more old-fashioned feminine scent, like the musky sprays that were popular back in the day but I wouldn't want to wear personally. For the base tones I could feel a very mild hint of rustic sweetness that I assume is the pear. Overall I'm not very impressed and won't be purchasing this one. If you are contemplating on buying it, definitely test it first. This is a more mature scent in my opinion that might be appealing to a specific population or age group.
