I've had this product for less than a week, but I fell in love the first time I used it. I did a ton of research before purchasing, but was still nervous because there are so many similar products available, all different price points. I have fine, thin hair that holds water, so before using the hot tools styler I combed out my hair with a leave in conditioner and let it air dry partially. Then I added a thermal protectant and started styling. I haven't used the high setting because I haven't needed it. The low setting works just fine and leaves my hair smooth and shiny with fewer flyaways than a regular hair dryer. I have not noticed more volume, probably because my hair hangs to mid-back. And I noticed the "cool" setting doesn't feel cool at all. The barrel gets too hot for the air to cool, even on the cool setting, but I typically don't use that feature. I'm hoping the detachable brush is useful if I have to replace it due to wear. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my Hot Tools styler.
I bought this 2 weeks ago and thought it was amazing, untill I went to my stylist yesterday and she said my hair and ends were severely burned and singed. They had become almost crunchy. She had to remove 3 inches to get rid of the damage. I am devastated that it will take a year to grow back that 3 inches, the high settings is way too hot but the low setting takes forever to dry your hair. I refuse to get up at 4 am everyday to spend an hour drying my hair on the low heat setting. If you decide to buy this product just know that it will damage your hair severely. I use heat protectant every time I blow dry my hair and that did not save my hair from this horrible product. I am totally devastated by this

Writing a comment to warn people that this broke - quite literally melted almost in my hands after using it for two years. Did it's job for awhile but cheaply made

Pros I have shorter hair with many layers. I was surprised by how easy styling my new haircut was. I have a damaged area towards the crown that tends to look like a tumbleweed and this dryer brush smooths it down. I'm still learning the tricks of the trade but am very pleased with my purchase. Cons I found the cord length to be too long for my use but a tie wrap fixed that. Like others have mentioned, the heat settings can be pretty hot especially around the ears & face. I would recommend renaming the low setting to medium and having an even lower Low setting.

Unless you want to be picking hundreds of burnt brush bristles out of your rugs, I say stay far away from this product. It gets so unbelievably hot that your hair starts smoking the entire room up and smells of burning hair. The heat burns the bristles off the brush so that the brush itself gives roughly a month of use before the bristles have all disappeared onto your floor. So disappointing. Skip this and buy the reliable Dyson if you can afford to, or the more safe Revlon blow dry brush.

I got this on a half price sale and I didn't expect much but this has been a great product. Wet or dry my hair comes out smooth and shiny. It has a large grip at the top and bottom so it doesn't exhaust your wrist. It does a great and fast job. Love it!!

I have been using this type of dryer for a few years, this is an improvement because the bristles on the one piece always break and get smooshed down. In theory it's better because you can swap that out and still have the engine of the dryer. Again, in theory, your not sending the whole dryer to the landfill when the head wears out. These heads are made of really cheap bristles and within 3 months I have to switch out heads because the sides of the oval are completely bent and don't grab the hair.

THANK YOU HOT TOOLS!!! I was so skeptical about purchasing this, I was even a little uneasy when it arrived! I thought for sure I would end up with it in a tangled mess in my hair and that it's size would be difficult to manage or too heavy after minimal use. But I was SO WRONG! Everything about this brush is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! My days of damaging my hair and burning my fingers and scalp in the process of straightening my hair are over! It made short work of drying, straightening, & styling my below the shoulders, wavy, color treated hair. It was not difficult to use or cumbersome, and it smoothed through each section of hair beautifully without a single tangle! I was able to straighten areas of my hair that are otherwise difficult to properly straighten with a flat iron, especially close to the roots. And the end results were praiseworthy! With abundant volume and shine, and not a trace of frizz in sight, I didn't even add any products to my hair before or after my first use. And touch ups are a breeze. I love the fact that the brush is detachable, so if I want to try a smaller brush size or when the time comes, replace the brush head, I can. I can't say enough about this product! I am buying a second one for my daughters upcoming birthday!

I've had this brush for almost 2 years and take really good care of my hair and there are some tricks to using this so you get the best results with minimal damage. First, you should ALWAYS rough dry your hair 80-90% dry with a regular dryer on the medium heat setting. Then I section my hair into a half up clip situation and spray dpHue's thermal protection spray on the bottom half of my hair and blow out on sections using the hottest section for 3-4 passes and then flick to the "cool" setting which is actually just medium-hot. Repeat on the top half. Using it this way really minimizes the heat damage - if you use this on fully wet hair you will damage it. Also, the second round of lightweight heat protection is essential. Then I finish with an oil on the ends and my hair looks fabulous all day and into the next. This dryer was a game changer for me!

This is perfect for long wavy hair such as mine. I can honestly dry my hair in 20 minutes with this, as opposed to 30-45 with a blowdryer and round brush. Also, the volume it adds is UNBELIEVABLE!!! I don't even have to style it. I section it off, dry it with this blowdryer brush, spray and go. I can even use it on day 2 hair and still have volume. Day 3 is just eh…. But I wish I'd have bought this years ago. I feel like I just stepped out of a salon every time I use it. It's that good!! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the controls are tricky to do while holding the brush. I have to turn the brush on my desired setting, THEN put in on my head and dry my hair section. I feel like it's a bit inconvenient. However, for the price point and amazing results I'll keep using it daily. LOVE the look it gives my hair!!!

Very light, love the colors. I got this on sale so that was a big plus as well. I'm still learning how to use it.

I thought this blowout brush was great. It is very easy to use and my hair turned out shiny and straight. Usually my hair will dry on the frizzy side.

I'm so happy with this tool…my hair looks very healthy..smooth and shiny…even the bottom layer which is usually pored and damaged..it take less time to dry hair and the result is awesome. Especially together with oil Olaplex #7

I have fine/wavy hair and this blowout brush completely changed my morning routine. It takes me only minutes to go from damp hair to a styled blowout. As a mom on-the-go, this was a game changer. I have already bought ones for my mom and sister.

Wanted a blowout at home but struggled with a brush and blow dryer at home. I could never get it down, and my hair is naturally curly, so anytime a blow dryer is pulled out, I expect frizz. This onestep blow dryer brush duo is unreal. I used a couple products also from ulta that are game changers as well. I will quite literally never be using a normal blow dryer ever. again. Sidenote…I didn't want one that was super bulky, or was really going to put my wallet out, and this one was comparable in barrel size to the Drybar one!

I absolutely loved this product. It really helped prevent damage and made my hair healthier. Unfortunately it randomly stopped working with half of my hair still wet. I tried several different outlets to try to get it to work. I use it about 3 times a week and I I don't have thick hair so it wasn't over used. It's frustrating because I finally found something that makes my hair look great and doesn't damage it as much. Too much money for a 7 month product that should last longer.

The sales lady helped me so much when I looked. I'm glad she gave me all the pros and cons.

I buy a lot of electric hair products, hoping all will make blow drying easier. This works better than my flat iron and is much easier to use than a dryer and round brush. Very impressive! It also makes the drying time faster.
