They *do* stretch a little, but these are not meant to be hair ties for vigorous use (like a high pony before running or working out). They are meant to be used as a non damaging way to tie your hair back. These are great for messy buns, low ponies, loose braids, basically any non tight hairstyle. They don't snag and they are amazing quality. I use these to pineapple my curls at night, and French braid my hair back before I workout.These are amazing! We havent had any issues with the hairties stretching, but neither of us wear our ponytails tight. We use these for low ponytails to get hair out of our faces.
