Mascara is the one makeup item that I really pay attention to.This is only the second Ulta mascara I've purchased, but it is a keeper. I don't waste $$$ any more on department store mascaras, which often are no better than the ones you can buy at the drugstore for much less. If you name a mascara, I have probably tried it, and I have a small wardrobe of mascaras I use that for me have stood the test of time. Here's a tip from someone who's bought mascaras for decades: never get attached to just one. They can be suddenly discontinued and you're out-of-luck if you haven't discovered alternate options. All that is by way of saying that Ulta's New Heights is a really great mascara on a number of counts:
1. Its ergonomic packaging design: a straight-sided (no barrel-shaped) tube that makes getting a secure grip comfortable;
2. Its brush, which is shorter than most rubber-bristled brushes, making it easy to use without getting mascara on your eyelids (ladies, a bigger brush does NOT mean bigger lashes);
3. It separates lashes nicely and doesn't clump;
4. It lengthens lashes with just a couple of coats; and
5. It's easy to remove
Buy it! You won't be disappointed.
I was disappointed by this mascara. The first thing I noticed was how light it was (as if there isn't anything in the tube). And the lack of product on the brush when I removed the wand makes it seem as though there's hardly any product in the tube at all. This mascara did nothing for my lashes. It didn't lengthen them, it didn't add volume, and it hardly colored them black. It also didn't clump, which is a plus, but that's because the bristles are so spaced out it hardly applied any product to my lashes at all. I did enjoy the small brush tip because of the precision it allows, but I would not recommend this mascara.

I'm very happy with this mascara. I like the smaller brush, it's easy to get a good result with no clumping. I had an allergic reaction to another one I was using, but it cleared up right away using this one.

I'm very picky about my mascaras and I LOVE this mascara, it's always my go to! My only peeve is that there isn't a waterproof version because that's what I prefer. SO Ulta… make a waterproof version so I can wear it for my wedding and not worry about raccoon eyes!!

You better go Ulta! This mascara is awesome! It separates, lengthens, and lifts like a mother and it's inexpensive!!! I am all about mascara too. It is my must have in my makeup routine so i am always trying new ones and different brands. U knocked this outa the atmosphere!

The other store brands are better than this. The container is empty after 3 uses and you can barely see the mascara on my eyes.
My favorite! from Pittsburgh
The brush is fabulous. It enables you to be able to get really close to the lash line to build volume. Very lengthening. Can apply many coats without getting clumpy.

I was very impressed with this mascara. It truly performs as well as some of my high end mascaras. And I LOVE the brush!!

With it being as cheap and affordable as it is, you definitely get what you pay for. It's one of my favorite mascaras I own. And I LOVE mascara. I would recommend to anyone who either sticks to a natural look or wants to build onto it. It's amazing!

Best mascara I have found in a long time.

This is the worse mascara ever. It clumps and flakes off in chunks made my eyelashes fall with it. I hate it and wish i could get reimbursed. It's total junk. I'm wondering if this was an old product or an expired one. It itches my eyelid badly.

it's my favorite mascara

I have recently had to throw away all make-up due to rash, I am buying new beauty products, so far I am not allergic to this mascara.

I have sensitive eyes. This works amazing a tube mascara. The brush is small and works into the lashes well. I recommend.

I was so excited to buy this and It been out of stock for a while. I had seen a blogger use it and it looked good. I've use a lot of different mascaras in my lifetime. I have never once thrown one out after a weeks of trying to use it. It clumped and it was just awful.

This is an ok mascara but I've definitely tried better, the smaller wand is nice for the corners of the eyes but it takes awhile to coat the rest of the lashes and adding multiple coats it can start to look clumpy.

I love this mascara more than I thought I would. The wand takes a second to get used to, but it works well and applies the mascara easily. The formula is super black, offers great length to the lashes and lasts all day. I had no flaking or smudging and it removes very easily as well. One of my new favorite mascaras!
I love this mascara, it's one of my absolute favorites! The wand is a little different and it takes a second to get used to, but it works really well at grabbing the lashes, separating them, and coating them evenly. The formula is excellent too. It's very black in pigment, gives great length, and holds a curl all day. It does not flake or smudge on me. I would say it's better for length than volume, but I still feel like I get a beautiful lush-looking lash when using it. HIghly recommend!

I was very excited to try this mascara, however it was very clumpy and had to toss it out.

Easy to handle small brush, easy to remove, only need one coat. Not messy at all. New favorite
Veronica from San Antonio, TX
Formula appeared great going on, then after it dried, it flaked. Applicator was so short, it took forever to get all lashes covered n made the process messy.
Taylor from Birmingham, AL
Loved the small brush. built up easily. can get clumpy if you do more than 2.5 coats. Made lashes look long.

I've tried over 100 mascaras from drugstore to prestige and beyond. This is by far one the best performing, wearing, no smudge, no flaking mascaras on the market. No primer needed and the applicator brush helps you get to even the smallest lashes. Ulta….don't ever discontinue this product.
Heather from San Diego, CA
I love this mascara. I ordered it on line, and initially wasn't happy about the small brush, but after using it, I prefer it. Highly recommend.
