It's true that the first few uses feel different than once you get it going. It ends up smooth as silk and with a very natural look. I prefer the color Nude Beach most, but I tend to go for very light, neutral tones. The colors are brighter, but not by much. It sure seems like a good size and something that will last awhile, but I guess you never know until you get to the end, so we'll see. All in all, I'm happy with this product. the two extra colors allow me to keep one in the car and one in a bag too, so no regrets!Most Helpful Critical ReviewNice Balm and Color, Weird ScentsI'm so glad I was able to try several flavors of this. As I expected on my very light skin with pink undertones, the summer crush looks the best on me. However - the scent and flavor (minty rose???) is so disgusting I cant even use that one! The other two flavors I don't even notice after a minute, but I can barely taste food around the mint rose flavor. It's all i can smell. I will definitely use the other two even though they don't look as nice with my skin tone, but I wish the summer crush didn't have such a bizarre flavor! Minus two stars just to show exactly how heinous the flavor is. Being a mineral formula, I do find these less than moisturizing. They are matte, which is usually pretty drying. I would say with the added moisturizers these end up having a neutral effect moisture-wise for my lips. It feels about the same as if I wore nothing. I strongly dislike wearing chemical sunscreens daily though. This is by far the best mineral formulation I have tried, with the best look on the lips. 3 stars for general formula and tint selection. Their twist-on tops are very pretty! The only downside is, like a lot of other natural balms I've tried, my lips feel very dry and tight after a few minutes of wearing it. My solution is to cover it with a layer of my favorite gloss.
