I take off all my make up with a micellar water toner, use a hydrating face wash, a pore minimizing toner without alcohol, then I put droplet of the blue stuff on. It smells odd but not bad - just unusual. Does make your face slightly green but who cares, you're just going to bed. I have really sensitive skin but I'm also prone to cystic, hormonal acne so I tried a retinol from my derma which gave me a chemical burn. Nothing worked until I found this stuff. There's enough retinol for it to be effective and the other ingredients are hydrating enough for my skin to be clear, bright, and plump the next day! The blue stuff combined with a pimple patch has changed my skin. I use the lactic acid white bottle about once a wk (NOT W THE BLUE STUFF) when my cheeks are bumpy.Most Helpful Critical Reviewdid not work for me this timeso.. My face broke out like crazy big huge pimples all over my jaw line and cheeks whith jn the first week. Even my husband said, whats going on with your face? are u doing anything different? thats when I realized the only thing different was this.. I stop using it still took about2 months for my face to clear up completely. leaving some "spot scars" that are still fading 5 months later... I have very acne prone skin and im a teen so i was a little nervous and decided to give it a try. If you look at the pictures, you can see the night before and right when i woke up. It immediately took away any redness from my skin and made it feel so soft. But, i wouldn't recommend this product if you dont like scented things.
