I have tried multiple shears. The design is nice and they do fit nicely in my fingers. I don't care to much for the way they cut though. They don't slice nicely on the hair. They have a crunch sound and you have to apply more pressure to get the job done. I will be having my shear sharpening person oil and sharpen them and will try them again. Foolishly, I tried to do it my self. Not a good decision. I THEN took them to a professional scissor sharpener but the damage was done. I then ordered this pair (my old Fromm's were no longer available). They are WONDERFUL!!! If you cut or trim your own hair - don't be fooled into buying cheap shears. These are world class!!! Lightweight .........these are so surprisingly light which is great on the wrists. Solid/ built in finger rest Smooth sounding Sleek design Not super sharp but adequate for moderate hairdressers. Cuts through fine hair well,but not so much for thick hair. 2 finger inserts included which are comfortable. Did not come with shear oil The package says it's for experienced stylist but I would say they are more for beginner stylists. I'm used to using ergonomic shears and these aren't quite in the same league. They didn't feel quite right in my hand but after a few cuts I got used to them. The ends are pretty blunt, I prefer a more pointy end. Depending on the price of these shears would depend on whether I would pay for them. What I do not like about them is they make a crunching sound when you cut the hair which make them seem dull to me even though they are not. I tried to adjust the screw but is doesn't help. I prefer shears that are heavier and more of a offset. These transformer 5.75 shear silver I recieved for a review will be used as my back up shears. How ever, over all they are a good shear that are very affordable.
