I parted my damp hair in four sections and sprayed 2-3 sprays in each section. I do believe it cut down on blow drying time. In the past, I did not use a heat protectant spray on my hair before blow drying because I felt the sprays left my hair feeling sticky. This did not make my hair feel sticky at all.
