I have never tried a cleansing balm like the Banila line. There are four different types of balms in the line, and currently are formulated to suit different skin concerns. I used each for 3 days. The first one, Clean It Zero Original (pink bottle), is an unscented balm that applies easily. It removed my makeup and left my face feeling refreshed and "minty". No complaints and would use this one again! The second one I tried, Clean It Zero Purifying (blue bottle), in my opinion is suited for more sensitive skin that is also acne prone. True to its' name, it left my face purified and refreshed. It wasn't harsh, but still felt like it deep cleaned my skin. It did not irritate me or cause any adverse reaction. No complains and would use this one again, too! The Clean It Zero Nourishing (yellow bottle) in my opinion is suited best for dry skin that requires a little extra moisture, although it would probably work on any type! It felt very "light" compared to the others and had a more subtle affect. Again, no complaints on this one either! I would definitely try it again. The Clean It Zero Revitalizing (green bottle) was different in that it has a soft smell that is not too overpowering (for me anyways). It is the only one out of the four that had a noticeable scent, and was the only one that felt a little "waxy" after the application. Not a showstopper, as it easily was removed, but it definitely felt like a different texture compared to the rest. I would still use it again, but only if I had no other makeup removed. To conclude my review, I enjoyed trying each product in this line and figure out what works best for me. I would honestly like to incorporate these products into my routine after quarantine (not wearing as much makeup, haha) as a makeup remover. Each different formula removed my stubborn eyeshadows, mascaras, etc. without any irritation or spreading. These would also be great for a beginner who needs a good pre-cleanser or makeup remover!
I started using this as step one in my skincare routine, primarily to remove the day's makeup. I saw all the reviews about how it all just melts off and wanted to try. Before this, I was using the makeup eraser, which I had no issues with but I am open to a method that is less aggressive to my skin and maybe less laundry as a bonus. I have also been hearing about double cleansing for a while and I'm ready to get on the bandwagon. I've only used this a few times. I always use first thing to take off the days makeup and then follow with a cerave foaming cleanser. Each time I used it, I pat dry with a white towel and see some leftover makeup on the towel. This tells me that if there is makeup leftover that I see, there is plenty more that I don't see. I should add that, on the occasions I used it, I was wearing a LOT of makeup. I also wear good quality, longwear type makeup that is meant to stick around. I will try again with my usual weekday makeup, but I think the lesson learned is that I have to stick with the makeup eraser for full glam days. Additionally, my mascara (not waterproof) did not "melt off" as some reviews mentioned, but it did come off with some light scrubbing with my fingertips.

This oil based cleanser is AMAZING! It melts makeup off easily and smells like strawberries & kiwi (I got the original cleanser in the pink tub). I highly recommend if you need a great but gentle oil based cleanser!

So I had been using a great product to remove my makeup by IT, but it was expensive. A sales associate recommended Zero as a new alternative and said she loved it and it is half the cost. I tried it and I actually like it better. I'm so happy that I can still have a great product at fifty percent less cost. Win! Win!

The best cleansing balm ever. No film or greasy feeling left over, yet my skin is not too dry. And it gets ALLLLL MY MAKEUP OFF. Absolutely nothing left on my cotton pad when I tone after washing, as opposed to almost every other cleanser. Amazing stuff

I was tired of using multiple cotton balls + micellar water to rub off my more long-lasting, waterproof makeup (ex: the nyx epic wear liner, which is the only thing that stays put on my oily eyelids), so I wanted to try out a cleansing balm. Not only does this melt my makeup in 1-2 uses, it's also surprisingly moisturizing! I use this to double cleanse and I'm so surprised how the moisturizing effects last not only through my whole skincare routine but for multiple days! I also love how I just have to gently rub it on as opposed to rubbing/soaking a cotton ball on my eyelids; less harsh on the eyes. Yes it can make your vision a bit blurry if you get it in your eyes but it doesn't sting and it goes away when you rinse it off.

My Makeup melts off, leaving my dry skin feeling soft and hydrated after using. This makeup remover is the best for waterproof mascara. I got the sample pack from the Banila website before buying a larger size to see which would work best for me. Also, the Banila website offers way more products than Ulta. Glad I did. Some didn't work for my skin, but I found two that work yellow with white top nourishing (there are two different ones), and pink are my favorites.

I have tried multiple balms as i really enjoy them. This one smells terrible and broke me out for the first two weeks of use. I was committed to gettibg my skin used to it and it was terrible. The smell is somilar to burning chemicals and makes me question if its even good to put on your skin.

I assumed all balms were similar, but this one smells loke the worst chemicals to ever try to apply to your face. It smells so terriblre, i feel i have to wash it off immediately. However, it does help to take off makeup so ot does what it says; just smells literally terrible.

This product works well to break down makeup, however it leaves your vision blurry for a few after use. The blurry vision isnt worth using this product in my opinion.

I bought this product and I really did like it for a while. But I guess with balms I didn't think how thin and oily the product would be. After every face wash there would be actual film in my eyes and I'm not sure if it effected my eyesight or not since my sight is already bad. But unless you want film on your eyes, I would not reccomend.

Ever since i tried it ive hravitated towards using it over DCH and micellar waters. I just wear sunscreen, macara, and eyebrow pencil/gel, sometimes eyeliner and it takes it all off perfect every time. Ive gone through so many jars already and i like rhe oackaging so much that i keep the jars and spatulas for travel and fill them up with other products/jewelry. Id love if they came out with a huge jar but rhe biggest jar they ahve is great and lasts awhile. You dont need too much either, i use half a spatula scoop and i don't penetrate the balm too much maybe a quarter of an inch deep and use that for my face and neck. It emulsifies very well, all you need to do is have wet hands and gently rub and it turns milky easily. I like to massage it while it's emulsified as well as just a balm for best results. It leaves my skin feeling feesh and clean and no residue. I alaays go in with another cleanser but if i had to just rely on this to get the job done im sure id be fine. Will buy more until this discontunws probably. Its the best bang for my buck ive found so far

i recently tried the mandarin-c cleansing balm by banilla and i loved it very much and wanted to purchase the original. no words can describe how much my skin has been appreciating this cleansing balm! it smells very gentle and a little does go a long way, especially when used to double cleanse. worth the purchase, ill be saving for the jumbo size when i run out!

I have eczema so it's scary to find something that works so well. It doesn't dry out my skin & it feels very moisturizing

Its better than using nothing, but there are better products out there. I use first followed by face wash twice and there is still makeup on the towel after. No this is not full glam makeup I am removing. Its CC cream, powder, and mascara.

I love this cleansing balm, ive tried different versions of this brands cleansing balms and ive loved all of them. They break down even my waterproof mascaras and really leave my skin feeling clean. You dont need a lot and the tub is the perfect size for me. I will forever stand by this brand

I love this for my evening routine! It takes off makeup easily (although not so much with waterproof mascara) and doesn't make my eyes irritated. It does make your face feel greasy, but I always double cleanse anyways.

I am a diehard take the day off Clinique cleansing balm. I've used it exclusively for 5+ years. I am eager to be done with what I have so I can replace with Zero! I got the travel size and used it and audibly gasped at how effective it wad at melting makeup away. It feels INCREDIBLE on my skin and didn't even wash with a cleanser afterwards! I'm completely blown away and in love with this product. 12/10 will recommend to anyone!

The first time I bought this it was BOGO 40% off. Since it was my first time with the product I didn't want to buy it and not like it. That was dumb because I loved it and regretted not taking advantage of the great deal! Now I always buy two!

Bought this for a travel size makeup remover balm to take on a trip. Its a nice consistency, never burned my eyes when i used it to take off mascara, it DID remove ALL my makeup as well as water proof makeup . You might have to dabble in on a little more to make sure everything comes off . The only Con i could think of was that it was small and i used it up in a month . Will purchase again, but at the moment will be trying a different brand .

I like the idea of a cleansing balm. I liked the texture of this product. The problem I had was that it dried my skin out really bad. I thought maybe I was over exfoliating but that was not the case. This product over dried my skin.
