It applies beautifully with my brush and leaves my skin and makeup looking perfectly set. The powder does not explode everywhere when you open it and I am very happy with the amount of product I get for the money. I will definitely be purchasing this product again and highly recommend you give it a try. That being said, I've always loved this powder because I've never had to worry about primer or setting spray to keep my makeup on when I use this powder, and it always made me look beautifully matte and smooth. However, my last purchase of this product has me questioning everything. Not only does it not seem to have the same staying power as before, but the finish is horribly chalky! It adds so much unflattering texture and pallor to my skin. This setting powder has always been a "safe" translucent powder in my opinion when it comes to looking chalky or washed out, or not getting "hey sister'd" when you take a picture with flash, but something has changed and the white sheen of the powder is more obvious than it ever has been. I ended up not finishing my container and purchasing another finishing powder from another brand.
