I have long hair so the weight normally pulls it down leaving it flat on the top but it wasn't as flat on the top when I woke up. (Disclaimer I also started using their satin scrunchies to put my hair up and those were a lot less constricting than the other ones I had) So there was an instant improvement. It kept improving then one day I ended up coming home very late so I didn't shower that night and normally my second-day hair is a mess, but it looked totally fine without me even putting more product in. I actually love the pillow so much I bought one again today for another friend with curly hair whose birthday is coming up. I plan on giving these to all my textured hair friends because while we all know silk/satin pillows are better, we're broke college students. But this product does an AMAZING job so despite the price I know we are getting good quality. I actually purchased this two weeks ago and have seen no problems yet. I can't compare it to the more expensive brands, which I will probably try for fun when I'm older and actually have a real job, but for now this does everything it's supposed to be doing perfectly and I will keep getting them (both for myself and for my friends) because we want to look like movie stars just without the movie star budget and this does that!Most Helpful Critical ReviewSlippery when Silkie!So right of the bat ,I was determined to love this pillow cover. It is beautifully elegant and boasts to be gentle on hair and face. What a great idea! Everyone would love to have a shorter get ready time in the morning because there hair isn't snarled. To wake up refreshed and possibly younger looking( since it's supposed to stop wrinkles by not pulling on you delicate facial skin would be great. Alas, it was not meant to be.... I spent all night chasing my pillow because it kept slipping above my head and wouldn't stay put. It also was hard to get my pillow to bunch up and cradle my head because the pillow cover is a tight fit on a standard pillow with no room to manipulate your pillow the way you like it. I woke up tired with a stiff neck. I thought it might be just me , but when I looked over , my husband was barely on his pillow and in the same manner it worked it's way above his head and he was sleeping more under it than on it. The only positive thing about this pillow case other than it's silkie soft beauty, is the fact my hair was less tousled. But I really can't be sure if that can be credited to the pillowcase when my head was not on it most the night lol. Sad to say but this was a pass. I wash my sheets a few times per month! :( I would give one star but the harry potter owl pattern is SO cute. Nope. It's average price for a polyester satin. THIS IS NOT SILK. Don't make the same mistake I did and confuse the two. I have very fine hair and sensitive skin and I react badly to polyester; breakouts have increased with this pillowcase, and my hair gets just as ratty at night with this as with a nice natural cotton pillowcase. Plus, being polyester, this is full of static electricity which then makes my hair even worse... THIS IS NOT SILK and does not bring the hair/skin benefits of silk.
