For reference I have wavy dry hair and my daughter has long thin fine hair. I was having trouble with dryness, needing maintenance done, and my daughter was having trouble with one spot on the back of head where her hair was forming these huge knots. Her hair was so much less tangled and more manageable with this! It gave mine the little pick me up it needed to survive the rest of this quarantine. It feels a little more healthy now! Now onto the scent, and maybe I'm crazy, but to me it smells like swimming pool and sunscreen, its not strong, and I love it, but picture being at a waterpark with sunscrreen on, with your noise right above the water . That's what I smell. I love it!!Most Helpful Critical ReviewNot for me.The conditioner left much to be desired, in my opinion. It's so thick and pasty, it has a hard time coming out of the bottle. By the third use, I had to start storing it upside down (like you do with a bottle of ketchup or mustard that doesn't want to come out so you have to bang on the end of it). I also have very long hair which I planned on cutting but thanks to this Quarentine, haven't gotten a chance go do so. My hair is Ombrè'd, and is a bit past its' prime so with that and the combination of the length, it tangles easily now. Normally, I tend to use silky/smooth conditioners because that's the only way I'm not pulling all of my hair out when I brush it after a shower. I was excited to try this as it was designed to target and strengthen my hair (and since it tangles and tears so easily now), but I am just simply not a fan. It seemed to give my hair a static feel to it like I rubbed a dryer sheet all over it. It made it feel like there was humidity in the air and it felt like it zapped all the moisture out of it and frizzed/puffed it up. I am also not a fan of the smell, unfortunately. I know it's a professional salon brand but it actually smells like you're IN a salon; like you're sitting next to someone getting a perm. My hair is naturally blonde and fine; straight in the front and sides and wavy in the back. The combination of Kenra strengthening shampoo and conditioner has worked to keep breakage at a minimum, but I have to use about double the conditioner I would normally for my whole head to feel conditioned, and my hair is fine and only just past shoulder length. Also, no matter how much I use, the back of my head is always a rat's nest of tangles when I get out of the shower. Lastly, the smell is vaguely reminiscent of litter box to me. If you have ever used a hair masque before, you will find this conditioner to be equal substance. It is so thick it can be difficult to get it out of the bottle. I just turned it upside down and it made it much easier. But the squeeze is WORTH it!!! From first run through of my hair i knew this one was different. It left my hair feeling like silk without leaving and residue.
