After a year of constant use (along with daily use of the Mineral Factors and twice weekly application of the AHA peeling solution), my skin was so bright, so clear and any old hyperpigmentation either faded completely or just looks like a barely discernible freckle. I decided to try this however, because I wanted something I didn't need to mix with another product and...BOOM! I am blown away. After just 2 weeks of using every other day, my skin is even brighter, which I would not have thought possible. I am sold. I am hooked. (A little addition for my fellow brown and dark-skinned people: you know that hyperpigmentation is the bane of our existence. This may be a game changer for you if that's your main concern.)Most Helpful Critical ReviewSticky liquid, Clogs Pores, doesn't brightenI've purchased two of these because M.A.P - Magnesium Asorbyl Phosphate has been out of stock for over a year. Unfortunately it causes of lots of tiny non-inflamed pimples for me in areas I would not normally get them. I thought that it might just be purging initially, but now I am part way through the 2nd bottle and within hours of wearing this I get little pimples. This product isn't good, even the smallest amount alters the overall "finish" of my skin and it isn't helping with pigmentation from spots at all. My experience with The Ordinary's Pycnogenol was a disaster and I wonder why I ever strayed from this. It's gentle on the skin, helps with sun damage and hyperpigmentation, and pairs well with Tretinoin. Unlike l-ascorbic acid serums its also very stable and DOESN'T SMELL. Every L-AA serum I've used smelled weird, like hot dog water (it isn't just the ferulic acid often incorporated into it). At first application it does feel tacky but not when u wait few minutes for it to absorb, i have a very dry super sensitive skin from long term usage of tropical steroid cream and ended up with a very thin layer on my face at age 38. My face glows every morning since i use it day and night from using it for about a month. You may not like it because it's not LAA or AA but this serum did manage to keep my skin happy, glowy and non irritant. Would love to purchase it again once the bottle finish. I switched to the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% as it is an indirect Vitamin C product which allowed me to combine it with a lot of other products. I have definitely noticed my skin becoming clearer in terms of texture and become more radiant, less dull. I will continue to use this product. If you have oily or normal skin, I would recommend this product. If you have dry skin like my fiance, I would recommend the Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F.
