This stuff is gold. Please don't ever get influenced and change anything. Keep the stuff pure. Don't listen to the reviews about the smell as this is by far the best smelling I have used and I have used plenty. I have had people buy me some direct from the region in Morocco where the trees are grown. Please never change how this is produced to please others. Natural ingredients are the way to go. Keep up the great work!
I know The Ordinary has a great return policy, but I never thought I'd actually have to take advantage of it.... Seriously, watch out before your order this product. Natural or not, the oil has a very harsh chemical smell, almost like soiled peppermint, or "used diapers" as my boyfriend so artfully put it.... It's very counterintuitive, especially considering that so many other oils do not have a chemical scent, even when cold-pressed. For example, I'm deeply devoted to TO's rosehip oil and I'll be the first to admit that it reeks (but not of chemicals!), and you'll *still* have to pry it from my cold, cold hands! As for the argan oil, I can't use it in my hair or on my face during the day because of the smell. The only way I'll make it through this bottle is by layering it into my routine at night, and even then, the scent doesn't dissipate before I fall asleep. I won't reorder this one. I appreciate what it's doing for my skin in terms of moisture, especially in the winter, but I'm looking for a replacement option. If you're a die-hard natural fan *and* you don't mind smelling like chemicals at the same time... this might be the product for you, but it's not the one for me :( DECIEM Response: Hi Brooke! Thank you for your feedback. No fragrance is added to this product during it's formulation, and no chemicals are added or used during the process of it being made. This smell is just the natural smell of this ingredient. If you no longer wish to use it, please take full advantage of our 365-day return policy.

I put it in my hair and on my face. This product doesn't smell the greatest but what can you expect its oil! I would rather it have this smell than have harsh smells added into the formula.

I applied less than a dime sized amount to try it out and it made my hair look like greasy wet strands. The only plus was that it made it easier to brush my hair. Did not try it on my skin.

it is a bit on the heavy side for hair oil and i need to use it very sparingly to avoid my hair looking a bit oily after a few hours...but it does work and makes it shinier and softer. i haven't used it long enough to review about growth but my hair already grows fast. i tried it on my face and it felt kind of like what other say (too oily...lol)...BUT....i started mixing it (few drops of each over my fingertips and rub together) with my Ordinary hylauronic acid +B5 and it is an amazing combo......highly recommend. my skin was flaky...sensitive...break outs...and now it's so soft that i keep wanting to touch it lol.. i would recommend this to anyone that tried many things that didn't work!

I have fine hair that is easily weighed down, but it's dry so it's easily dehydrated by shampoos. Most pre-poo oils are either expensive, ineffective, or too heavy for me. Turns out, plain argan oil is all I need!I love the one from The Ordinary because the price is great, and with this size I know I can use the whole bottle before it turns rancid (a problem I've had when I've purchased larger botles from other brands).

Highly beneficial for dry skin and hair. Start a small amount for your hair. You will be supremely unhappy if you use too much like i did. You can always add more if needed. Begin with 2-3 drops and warm up in your hands before applying.

I bought this in December 2022. It is great for hair growth and retaining length. I have unrelaxed 4C hair. I can see visible hair growth just within two to three weeks of installing my cornrows. It does not have a scent, which is great for me since it is going on my hair. My hair is well moisturised and it isn't heavy at all. I also like that it is for the skin because any oil left over on my palm goes to my elbows :). If you are black with curly afro hair, this is an excellent extra product to have in your cabinet.

I'm so glad to see that I did not in fact get a get a rancid bottle of argan oil and that it does indeed smell like cow poop to other people. With that being said, if you're using this in your hair, the smell is no issue. On your face, you do smell it initially and for a little while following but it does go away. I actually use this at night in my routine. I use a serum, argan oil, and a moisturizer that had a light scent so it helps mask the smell. It's a good product. But it does smell weird. I can get past it though.

I purchased this oil sometime last year and it's been the best oil I've used so far! I initially purchased this alongside the ordinary's rose hip seed oil and I prefer this one by a lot! The oil isn't heavy on the skin at all and feels great on my dry skin.

I've seen a lot of comments that say it smells bad but it just smells like oil. When ordering a type of oil, what do you expect? It's pretty moisturizing and the dropper is really high quality. If you use too much, it will weigh your hair down but I expect that with pure oil

Unfortunately, this product doesn't really work for me. It doesn't really absorb into my skin or hair and leaves both greasy-looking & with buildup (though I have been using argan oil for years)

I use this for everything; my hair, removing makeup, skin etc. One of my favorite Moroccan Argan Oils

Don't get me wrong I love this argan oil! I ordered 2 bottles of it and one came slightly open and clearly when put side by side, the one that seemed opened is slightly lower in volume than the closed one! What happened here? Can I still consider this to be new?🤔

The directions say to apply after washing your hair but I feel like it is way too heavy to be on freshly washed hair. I use this once a week. The night before I wash my hair is when I put this on my ends or wherever I feel dry. I put this on and brush it through. My hair becomes very very oily almost looks wet but isn't sticky or annoying. I put a towel on my pillow and sleep with it in my hair then wake up shampoo & condition! My hair is so full and SO shiny after using

I've just received this and I think it smells really great, so I don't understand the other comments at all. I've just started using it so not sure about results yet. I was worried to use on my face as I don't like things that are too oily but I've just used two drops and spread all over and it's made it feel very soft and not oily at all. Excited to continue to use.

This product smells so bad I had to throw it out. It smells like I dipped my head into a pile of cow manure. I tried using other products over it to mask the smell, but nothing helps.

I use this on wet hair before drying, only a small amount (3-6 drops) and only through the ends and lengths. I'm really pleased with the results, the texture and shine is great. Obviously it is an oil, so less is more depending on your hair texture. Even on my fine, straight hair I find that it doesn't give a greasy appearance if used as described. I love it. As for the smell, I was a bit put off by some of the reviews, but honestly I would say it doesn't have a strong, off-putting smell at all. It has a kind of organic, seed oil smell to it but I wouldn't say it was noticeable, especially if you are using small amounts

Having dry skin and atopic dermatitis I found this oil very useful. Il leaves my skin looking very silky and is good for treating the dermatitis on my skull. I do not find the smell as bad as some people have said. I just avoid wearing it when I am going out.

This is a very nice quality oil. Light fragrance, absorbs quickly, provides great moisture for my skin. Very affordable compared to other brands. Thx, the Ordinary!

The bottle is cool. I like the Doppler. But the smell is not good. I would not buy again because the smell is bad.

No scent at all and I'm here for it!Fragrances ain't your friends, kids. And remember: Oil is oily. So use less! My hair is long, thick, curly and *dry dry dry* and I only add 3 or 4 drops max to my ends.
