If you are seasoned, I don't think you'll find a gentler OTC product with this efficacy and this price point. Retinol Reface, while not in an oil solution, goes on luxuriously. It is part of my nightly routine (started with 3 nights/week and built up tolerance) after my oil cleanse. It is a product that exfoliates and can be drying so I layer several moisturizing serums, creams, and sleep masks on top... but I'm a skin care glutton. As with a lot of retinols and acids, there can be a bit of photosensitivity, so SPF during the day (as if you weren't already). If your skin can sometimes be as reactive as a real housewife on a reunion show, test patch, but this one was super friendly to my temperamental skin.Most Helpful Critical ReviewNo noticeable changesI've been using this for two months; I use it at night as directed. I have not noticed any differences in my skin. There has been no reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, or acne scars. I have not had a problem with over-drying as I have very oily skin. Fortunately, this does not seem to add to (but also does nothing to help control) the oil. The packaging is not ideal - there seems to be a lot of air in the tube and I feel I waste a lot of product because I have to squeeze the tube while I press the pump resulting in too much product coming out. Within 24 hours of using it, my eyelids both top and bottom swell up like balloons and are extremely red and itchy. Then they progressively get better until I use this cream again a week later.
