I would basically only recommend using it to style your bangs and that's about it. I bought it to give my super short hair some wave and texture, but the plates are only like 2.5 inches long so you have to be really precise with your hair placement and where your fingers are because I've burnt myself a few times using it. Also, this doesn't have a swivel cord so it gets tangled while using it really easily, and the lack of an adjustable heat setting is annoying because it doesn't take 430 degrees to style my hair. I already have a Bed Head travel straightener, and while I've used it for years, I've always disliked how it snagged my hair and never held my hair straight for long. I decided it was finally time for a new, better one. I have the Eva NYC travel hairdryer, and i love it. I figured I would try this. First off, the packaging is really nice. I love the color and quality. Sadly, when it comes to the straighter itself, it's really.. Seriously.. Too small. I have fine, thin hair, and just by looking at this straightener, I knew it would be useless. It's not that it's too small lengthwise, because I could have worked with that. It's that the ceramic plates and width is so small that it's unusable except if maybe you're only wanting to straighten your bangs. I was very disappointed and returned it back to the store. It's too small to wrap hair around to add waves/curls to hair, and as someone with thick, coarse hair, it takes up a little too much time to straighten each section. I wish it would have had a slightly thicker plate, as that would have solved many issues. Pros is it's size, it does straighten hair very well, heats fast, and works great- just isn't the best choice for my hair type.
