I was looking for a double tooth comb to detangle while styling my wet hair, and I came across this gem. I am so glad that I found this tool because it has totally changed how I detangle. I was using the Thick & Curly Tangle Teezer to detangle while styling, and it wasn't bad, but I felt as if I was losing too much hair. I still love my Tangle Teezers (I own three), but it isn't the best for my strands while styling. The non slip grip on this comb is great, and it allows your hand to relax and let the comb do exactly what it needs to do. The teeth are spaced just right to allow all the tangles and shed hairs to come out, without having any snags or knots form.
I got this comb because of the ridges thinking it would work a little better. I have 3c/4a hair and the comb worked great in the shower when I had a ton of conditioner on my hair but if used with styling products and leave in conditioner I felt like I was just raking at my hair. I do use it for stretching my curls with wash and go and it works pretty well then.

I thought I would love this comb because I have fine heart that tangles. Marketing on this is that it detangles. Great, right? Not really. Instead, it pulls my hair out causing ripping and breakage. I would not recommend it for fine hair at all!

What is it? I wanted to come to use it in the shower with my super long hair, but I'm going back to the Wet brush instead as the comb didn't go through my hair as easily as the brush.

Perfect design to detangle curly hair and at a very reasonable price

This comb does not help with detangling. I almost feel that it makes it harder to comb my wet hair. If I knew I could return, I would.

This is the worst detangling brush I've ever used - a wide-tooth comb is much better, in my opinion. I have fine hair and it's still SUCH a pain to try to comb through my hair with this (and yes, I start at the bottom). After Brushing through my hair with my normal brush, I've tried occasionally using this to help spread product though, but most of the time all it does is cause more tangles in my hair. I don't recommend and I won't buy again.

this is the only thing I use to comb through my thin, but I have a lot, straight hair that doesn't like to be brushed. I hate this comb on dry hair but it works wonders on wet hair without feeling like I'm pulling my hair out. I do start at the ends and work my way up (like you probably should be doing anyways) and I don't have much fall out either. I highly suggest sticking to the ones with the black rubber part on the handle because I bought one of the other ones and it's uncomfortable to hold and broke the first time I dropped it...this specific one I've dropped numerous time and haven't had any issues and it's much more comfortable to hold. I have one on my bathroom counter and I have one in the shower to comb conditioners and masks through my hair too.

I usually comb from bottom usually in small sections. I get comb out of hair if it tugs. I overall like this. I recommend using it with leave in conditioner or using it in the shower with conditioner in your hair. Don't brush from the roots down because you'll pull your hair out unintentionally. Remember that the bristles aren't flexible like a detangler brush. I sometimes feel like I'm going to break it with my thick curly coarse hair. But I haven't yet.

I wanted to switch to a comb for easy care for my hair I noticed that it really does the job and if you want it to go a little smoother apply a leave in conditioner/detangler to make it easier for your hair. Great product

Use before and after shower. Not during. Your hair is mostly weak when wet.

Hard to brush through my snarls, but does leave my curls looking good.

It says detangling, but it just simply pull my hair out. The wet brushes work so much better and hurt a lot less.

it glides through my hair every time and really helps with detangling

Does a great job of detangling wet hair; just wish the plastic was little more rubbery so softer to the head

This is the best comb for detangling my hair in the shower. The prongs are not flexible, making it great for those with a lot of hair like me. It's still a lot of work to detangle, but out of the plethora of combs/shower brushes I've tried, this is the best for the job. Two tips (which you should be doing anyway) are 1.) Coat your hair with conditioner before combing/detangling to provide slippage. This will help the entire process and minimize any pain from pulling. 2.) ALWAYS start at the ends and work your way up to the roots. Starting at the roots will create more tangling/knots and damage.

Easy grip handle. Stylish. Makes it easier to detangle wet hair. Can't go wrong with it.
