I bleach my hair at home and I naturally have very dark brown hair and it is very curly (3c). So when I bleach my hair it turns bright yellow so I put this conditioner in my hair basically as a toning mask. I know on the packaging it says to leave it for 2-5 minutes but I leave this mask on for about 30 minutes and it leaves my hair at the perfect cool toned blonde without having to go out and buy a toner. Now I would not recommend this conditioner if you want to moisturizer your hair because I do t find it very moisturizing especially due to the fact that my hair is very curly but to balance out color and take away the ugly tones this is the best I have tried. Other purple conditioners aren't purple enough to do the job of toning out your hair but this will do it!Most Helpful Critical ReviewHorrible experienceBought to replace a prior more expensive branded purple conditioner. Used a palm full but barely covered my short hair. Let it set as I always do while I finish my shower. Went to rinse it and immediately felt the course texture of my wet hair. I could barley run my fingers through it. After showering and wrapping I went to add my product and had same issue of pulling comb through hair. After drying I noticed my roots were showing and could tell that it had actually stripped my hair and I had to redo my roots a week in advance. After blow drying my hair has pasty and wouldn't flat iron. I returned and Ulta took back graciously. I don't know if the LOT was just bad, because the associate said she had used it and just needed to add more of it, but this was the worst hair productive I've ever used. I bought the shampoo and conditioner and while the shampoo is fine (nothing to write home about) me and the conditioner just do not get along. I have fine, curly hair but *a lot* of it so a good conditioner is paramount. This is a fail. The formula is really watery and does not detangle one bit. I try to finger comb it through but end up with a lot of hair loss. I've also noticed a lot of breakage once it's dry and I comb a bit.
