This formula is smooth, thick, buttery and feels like a mattifying primer so I apply makeup right on top. It is non-irritating, even around my eyes. I have medium/fair skin and there is still a bit of a lavender/white cast even with the subtle tint so I'm not sure if I would recommend this to someone with darker skin. I really like using this in the summer because it isn't oily, but it is a bit too drying for my skin in the winter. I continue to use it around my eyes but use a different moisturizing SPF on the rest of my face. I had heard rave reviews of this product so I went for it but wish it was more affordable. I might buy again if it goes on sale, but otherwise it is a bit pricey for me.
This is a very interesting product. First I was very happy that the tint was very light, meaning it is only tinted enough to get rid of the white cast and otherwise seems to blend in colorlessly. I believe this would work well on fair and dark skin tones. Second, the formula is heavy with silicones...feels like 80% silicone (you should be aware of how silicones work with your skin before buying this). Because of the silicones, it also feels heavy and thick on application and when you apply makeup on top of a proper amount of sunscreen, your makeup slides a bit more. Third, this leaves skin totally matte for hours after application and could be very good for oily skin types such as myself. Overall, I think the silicones contributed to a small breakout I had (silicones may allow other ingredients to penetrate more deeply into the skin) so I had to return but I otherwise I would've kept this product for humid sunny days. I'm currently trying the Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk and that I recommend!

I've already repurchased this because of how much I love it! In my opinion it isn't drying if you use a moisturizer beforehand. I'm fairly pale and it isn't too dark for me, but it could be for some.

I did not like because it is so light tinted and my skin is oily, it did not help for acne. Probably i will return it but ulta worker were so nice and gentle. If you are look light tinted sunscreen I think it is work for you good thing if you don't like they can refund you

Very good water resistant physical sunscreen with a lighter tint that matches my skin tone. I only wish the spf was higher than 35.

I hate using sunscreen face lotions because they smell, are very oily after a few hours, and tend to make my face break out. But this stuff ticks every box. It's tinted so it looks like I have face makeup on, when I really don't. It also doesn't oil up all day long. I love it, it's definitely my go to for facial sunscreen now.

This is a pretty affordable SPF alternative for those with combination/oily skin. The color is light but not orange as many of the other tinted sunscreens (Supergoop, BareMinerals, MD Solarscience) on the market. I combine this with PC Ultralight SPF and pat into place using a matte beauty blender. It holds all day and does not crease or run. I generally use a light coating of Glo Minerals over the top for max sun protection. If your skin is drier you may be able to use a separate moisturizer underneath, but those with oily skin will be pleased that this isn't greasy and has a nice silicone/smoothing effect on skin.

I never, ever write reviews. I am going to write a review for this sunscreen everywhere because I want to help keep this product on the market. I am in my early 50s and I have been using sunscreen daily for nearly 40 years. I think I have tried every sunscreen on the planet. This is the absolute best sunscreen ever. Not only does this keep you from burning, the formula has also improved my complexion. Somehow this is calming any redness and my pores are so tiny and refined. I am quite fair skinned and the light tint is just about a perfect match for me. Most days I just wear this sunscreen, a bit of mascara, and lip gloss and I feel put together and protected from burning. I don't even need to wear powder. Please never change this formula. Thank you, CoTZ!

This is moisturizer and sunscreen, leaving a smooth, matte finish. There is a SLIGHT tint to it. I'm very pale, so it works great for me. It is wonderful to not have that super-shiny face I always get from any other moisturizers. I absolutely LOVE this stuff!

The best mineral sunscreen for your face! Non-greasy, absorbs easily, and doesn't leave white streaks.

This stuff is the bomb! Super velvety, stays put even in extreme heat/ humidity, it's just the best! 10/10 highly recommend:)

Light moisture (but not like regular that moisturizer) protects and primes. I also have the prime and protect version. Love it as well. I put a moisturizer on under it. Make my skin look flawless.

I love this sunscreen don't irritate my sensitive skin made my skin look smooth and my melasma is less noticeable the only downside is don't wear good under water base foundation but for me that is not a problem because I have another sunscreen when I wear make up I been using these Sunscreen for a month and I don't have a problem with any breakups So I highly recommend it for sensitive acne skin

I use it everyday, it feels great on my skin, it is not oily. I do wish there were more shades.

Context: I have dry, fair, sensitive skin with a lot of pink/red tones. Most non-mineral UV filters burn and sting, and most zinc sunscreens dry out my skin or look super shiny. I don't wear makeup, but I do have an almost-unreasonably complex skincare routine. This is the ONLY water-resistant sunscreen that actually looks and feels great on my face! No irritation! No weird white or orange tint! No lingering, funky smell! No worsening dryness! It's perfect! I have cheaper sunscreens I plan to use when I'm not going anywhere, but when I need a water-resistant sunscreen that actually looks good on me, this has become my holy grail! Be warned, if you don't love a heavy silicone feeling, this probably isn't for you.

I'm on my second tube of this and I absolutely love it! I have super dry skin and live in a very dry place and I've found it's the one thing I can wear under found

I have the skin type that reacts to so many sunscreens. This one's formulation is simplistic and gentle, doesn't dry out my skin or cause any breakouts. I like how it functions as a primer too and wears beautifully on its own or under makeup. I'm also a very fair olive tone and the light tint is perfect for my skin tone, so no white cast. I love this sunscreen and will always repurchase.

I loved the POREfessional Primer by benefit cosmetics before going vegan. I came across this looking for a new sunscreen to try. They really should market this better, because it's really a dupe for that primer that also happens to be SPF 35.

If you're not big on silicones or regularly do heavier makeup, this might not be for you. But for ME – I love this stuff & this brand! I switched to Cotz after starting a heavy acne medication as my skin has been too sensitive to handle chemical sunscreens. PROS: No negative effects on my sensitive skin! The tint is just enough to counteract any white cast (I'm fair-skinned). It is silicone-heavy, but I am picky about texture and love how velvety and non-greasy it feels. It also has a barely-there sunscreen smell, which I also personally like because I get a hint of the summery sunscreen nostalgia without feeling like I just took a bath in it. CONS: A bit pricey for the tube size; I'm fortunate to afford it but there are plenty of other good sunscreens at better price points. Also, I haven't noticed any clear moisturizing benefits from this formula – you should still be using a moisturizer alongside this sunscreen.

I am a brown Mexican and this left a very noticeable white cast which only got worse when i started to sweat. my sweat was white dripping down my face. it was terrible. I would not recommend this to anyone with color to wear outside :/ it also feels very greasy. at least it didn't break my sensitive skin out

Smooth and silky with a perfectly light tint. Absorbs quickly into skin. Love this product!

This is ridiculously expensive for the tiny bottle you get. I hear this spf raved about all the time, so I picked it up in store on a whim. Didn't pay attention to the oz, as majority of my fave spfs are 3 oz, so I thought that was standard. The box is double the size of this tube, it seems like that was done on purpose to mislead customers. If I used this as my sole spf, it'd probably be gone in a week. It also doesn't reapply well on top of itself. One layer is fine, more layers throughout the day make your skin look dry, flat and lifeless. Also gives a white cast by the second layer. Additionally, it is not moisturizing. It's definitely matte, just not quite as matte as their spf 40 primer.

This sunscreen is my go to daily. It's like a tinted primer but thicker. I have completed using my first tube of the stuff and have repurchased. I use facial mist, serum and an oil free moisturizer under this sunscreen with foundation or setting powder on top of it without piling and my makeup stays on all day. My face feels moist but not sticky. Breakout free for me. Please don't discontinue

It's really greasy. I have dry (really super dry) and sensitive skin so mineral sunscreen is the best for me. This doesn't leave a white cast but good god it's super oily.

This product is very thick and I wasn't expecting that. Throughout the day, I didn't feel greasy or like it was too heavy though.
