I am really pale so these spots are almost impossible to cover up. I got two of these lovely zits at one time right before I purchased this serum, and since I'm impatient I squeezed them and left two giant wounds on my face. I am honestly amazed by this serum! Not only did they heal up in a fraction of the time, but the dark spots are almost completely gone and my skin looks so calm (I have a tendency to get irritated and red skin easily) and so smooth! Plus, I dont know whether it is this serum or not yet, but I have had a couple people compliment my skin over the past few days!Most Helpful Critical ReviewBUYERS BEWARE- Inconsistent Product and PackagingI bought my first bottle in store, as recommended by a sales associate. I told her all my skin concerns (dry, sensitive, red-proned skin) and she told me to buy this. I LOVED my fist bottle. It was a game changer! I used this only at night, because it made my makeup pill during the day, and I would wake up every morning with PERFECT skin. It was smooth and calm and gorgeous. As soon as I realized I was running low, I went online and bought a replacement bottle. The product from my online purchase was a different color and smell. The original bottle had a red color and smelled like seaweed. The online product was light yellow and smells like nothing. The packing is totally different too. The in-store bottle was plastic but had a high-quality, glass-like finish. The bottle I purchased online is cheap and plastic-y. I'm not a product snob and rarely review products, but I want people to be warned that this is a major problem. I threw away the original packaging the bottle came with and I'm afraid I can't return it now. If you buy the red colored serum, its amazing. I tried the cooling moisturizer and gave it a A+. I tried this product in the store on my neck and almost immediately noticed results so I bought it. It does help with redness, smooths the skin, calms and help with lines. Another A+ for this brand! Astaxanthin is a great antioxidant. I'm not sure why people have complained about the smell. I don't really notice it. You need a LOT less than you think. I am as pales as casper and question how much someone is using to have a "red face"? Its transparent red lol. Additionally it smells a bit like seaweed because thats where this Astaxanthin comes from. Its a good thing. Anyway, dampen your skin and apply 1/2 a pump and let that set and dry before applying anything on top. That really helps with any pilling/flaking issue. This has helped eradicate any redness i used to have around my nose and chin, and it really seems to make my skin look tighter somehow. I've kind of tried it all because my skin is so sensitive - from luxury products to basic drugstore finds. After doing the NOYSkin Seabuckthorn oil cleanse, my skin was left with awful acne (I am not super acne prone) and texture issues. This is the ONLY product that could rescue my skin. It took me from dry, textured, sensitive, and dealing with some hormonal acne to having plump, glowy skin that looks so healthy. I use it 2x a day (morning/night) after cleansing my face with a gentle foaming cleanser and applying Paula's Choice 2% BHA. I love to massage it in with a Gua Sha routine. But this right here has made me a convert! 63 is just a couple of weeks away and I've been dreading it because of the waddle and crepy skin on my neck plus the lines by my mouth. I've been applying this serum now for a week and what a difference! The lines by my mouth and definitely less pronounced and the beginnings of the waddle have disappeared. And here I thought I was going to be resigned to getting HIFU treatments to stave off the aging.
