I didnt want to use the product three times and write a review, I wanted to make sure the end result was something I could truly stand behind and be honest. At first I was hesitant to believe it was different from any other lotion, mostly because it looked like it was marketed to be great and fancy but possibly not work so great. Any eco friendly person would just love this biodegradable outside of the bottle. Made me feel like I wasn't adding to the huge pile of already enough plastic in our dump sites. I had previously read articles that stated the benefits of these all natural ingredients and properties....but had yet to try one. Initially, opening the package I was stoked about the way it was earth friendly. I unscrewed the hand pump on the bottle and felt like the smell was a little strong, kind of like a mans lotion....so initially was concerned that I wouldn't like it at all. I replaced the hand pump and with one squirt of it, re-smelling it, there was such a difference in the smell trying it that way. It wasnt as overbearing and had a more clean scent with just one pump. I liked the way it soaked into my skin. I am a hater of greasy lotions, and if this would have been a greasy lotion it would have gotten one star. The moisture felt more "real".... kind of like after you wash your hands before they are completely dry. My skin seemed to retain the moisture not just after I put the lotion on, but an hour later I didnt feel like I had to reapply lotion. So I used about a pump of this every time I washed my hands, and by the end of the week I actually felt and saw a difference in my skin. I am someone who has alot of skin allergies, and irritates very easy, and this didn't do that to me!! I would buy this over and over!!! I'm an ecologist and so I work a lot with my hands and try to make ecoconscious decisions about the products I use. This moisturizer is the perfect medium. The smell is pleasant and the lotion smooths in really well without leaving my hands feeling greasy. I've even been using it on my face! It has replaced all of my other moisturizers. I've brought it to Africa with me for my field work season and it feels really nice to put on after a long day. I probably wouldn't have bought this lotion due to the price but now I'm a fan. The company's relationship with where and who they source ingredients from makes the price worth treating myself, and the seed idea (mixed into the natural paper label and ready to be planted!) is really cute so long as the plants aren't invasive (I'd like to do more research on what exact species they are). Especially the guest bathroom. The moisturizer created a great lather. It rubbed into the skin quickly and you felt very sure that you were not putting any mad chemicals into your body! The smell on the other hand i was not a big fan f. I love to eat sunflower seeds but its not my go to scent so i would definitely buy another scent next time. Until i received this product i had no idea it existed and no idea about their mission statement. Natural, botanic scent is not overpowering but so relaxing. The lotion is made of coconut oil, shea butter and non-GMO sunflower and camelina seeds. The mission of the brand is great and I like their eco-friendly approach of packaging and production process. It worked well on my arms and legs and I have sensitive skin also and didn't have any issues. My only issue with this product was the packaging. As you use the product it's cardboard packaging comes apart so you have to go easy when pushing down on the product.
