At first, I would use way too much (a generous amount as the jar says), but a regular dime sized amount works well. When used 3x a week, I noticed my skin was always softer in the morning. I started using this as a daily night cream 2 weeks ago and my skin has already improved. It feels softer, more hydrated and I don't get the tight feeling on my forehead as much. Now, I will agree with other reviews that it does leave a sticky film. I found that by using a bit less each day until I found the perfect amount that would soak into my skin and not my pillowcase. I would also recommend that if you do plan on using this product, wait at least 30 minutes before laying down. I found that even on the days that I used the right amount, if I didn't let it sit, it would be on my pillowcase. Overall, I would definitely buy this again. I took a star off for the stickiness of the product and it really hasn't done anything but made my skin softer (which is a plus for me). I don't know if I would recommend it, but I like it.Most Helpful Critical ReviewLeaves sticky filmI have used other over night hydrating or rehydration masks so was very excited to try this one. I've used it 4 times now and every time the product seems to sink in well but the tackiness never goes away. I wake up in the mornings each time with my face having a sticky film. It is so sticky I have to wash my face 2-3 times which defeats the purpose of hydrating. I'm going back to my Mary Kay overnight hydrating mask or my drugstore one. Both work a lot better for same or less cost. After trying about 4 other overnight soothing masks, I found this one. It has the same texture and makes redness and irritation disappear overnight (at least for my skin). Nice watermelon scent which isn't too overpowering. Plus it is very reasonably priced. There's no rhyme or reason to it anymore. But this mask (along with Ulta's cleansing balm) has managed to mellow everything out. I use this mask every night and as it melts into my skin, its cooling texture immediately soothes any irritation and makes it disappear by the next morning. A little really does go a long way. For those who say it leaves a mess on their pillows, I'd suggest using less and making sure you're really massaging the product into your skin, not letting it just sit on the surface as you would most other masks.
