To sharpen them you have to use a pencil sharpener but the container is made of plastic so plastic flakes get into your sharpener (and possibly into the environment which is bad). I wish they were made of wood or something more sustainable. They are also a bit dry, not so bad that they tug on the lids, but I wouldn't call them creamy. I tried using the green as a lip liner (it says they can be lip liners or eyeliners) and it pulled on my lips and was kind of patchy. I didn't have a green lipstick to try over it, which might have made it better, but I definitely wouldn't be able to wear it alone. I still like them because it's hard to find fun colors from affordable brands, and they do provide a nice pop of color that I really enjoy for the summer!Most Helpful Critical ReviewSEVERE IRRITATION TO EYES AND EYELIDSI went right over to Ulta after watching a beautiful makeup tutorial by Angelica Nyqvist who used the neon eyeliner "Fresh." I thought it was a unique and gorgeous color, and perused the other colors as well. I ended up ordering all of them except the white one. Sadly, ALL of these irritated my eyes, made them watery, burning and also my eyelids were sore all day and slightly puffy after using these. I am leaving the same review on all of the ones I purchased since they all irritated my waterline and my eyelids. There is a reason why the ingredient list isn't even listed! I bet these all contain Carmine, which is a known serious allergic ingredient in a lot of cosmetics and even food. BUYER BEWARE. And..... it doesn't even sharpen! Once you use the tip, that's all. Disappointing, but they aren't very expensive so it might just be that. Still, I love the colors. I like to use it as a little more natural color instead of white and I like how it's a little metallic so it's still bright. Sometimes though t seems like the color isn't really showing up depending on the angle you're looking at since it is metallic. I haven't used it as a normal eyeliner yet, but would assume you wouldn't have this problem since it would be looked at straight on. Overall, i really like this eyeliner.
