As soon as I opened the box, I love how much the packaging looked like a mini ice cream bucket. Not that it matters too much but the shade of green was definitely very matcha for me ! Especially cause I'm a matcha girl! Anyways, the kit comes with a spatula which is very handy but I prefer a brush cause it gives a better layer of consistency. Next, the smell was amazing! The texture of the clay was looks very smooth yet had a small texture of "micro crystals" or so that made it look like a smoothie. Although the mask didn't dry like usual masks do, it was still very soft on the face. I prefer using a wet towel to wipe off the mask instead of just washing it off by hand. That takes longer. As soon as the masks came off, I was in awe in the mirror. My skin was bright and soo soo soft! I absolutely love it !!! I very much recommend it. When I applied it onto my face, it dried pretty quickly, so I liked that it didn't make a mess. But when I took it off, my skin felt dry and lost all of its moisture!! I could see the white scabs of my dead skin. I had to put on squalene oil to restore my skin's natural moisture. I was a bit disappointed because the reviews were pretty good. And I usually have oily combo skin, given that my dry spots were on my cheeks, and those were the most dehydrated, but still I felt like it wasn't so soothing. It just roughened my skin more. I really like the gelato-like texture and the scent though! I'm still going to use it on my T zone and hopefully it'll improve over time. As for brightening and evening dull skin, I didn't really notice any difference but again, this was after my first use. So far I've used this on two separate nights now (after showering and washing my makeup off). It feels very refreshing on my face, and most importantly, it hasn't broken me out or inflamed my skin!! I will admit that I haven't noticed any major difference in my face as far as redness goes, but I've only used it twice so maybe it takes time to work. The packaging is cute, and OMG the scent < 3 I love drinking matcha, and this legit smells like a matcha latte, I love it!! I find that the spatula is very useful, I lost it halfway through the pot and had trouble applying it in an even layer with my fingers, so I wish there was a place for the spatula for people that don't keep the box but the product itself is nice and cooling, I found that it left me refreshed and moisturized but I still followed up with my standard moisturizer afterwards just because my skin is dry as is. My face lately had been dry and when I used the cake my day mask it made my face so soft and hydrated I loved it 💖.
