After the first few days the tone and texture of my skin had a noticeable improvement. I have some discoloration on my forehead, right at the hairline, from sun worship that has faded dramatically. I am extremely pleased with this product and I will never give it up. A couple complaints I have heard on this product page are that the price is way to high and that it doesn't moisturize well enough. Let me start by saying that nowhere in the product description does it say that this product is a moisturizer. As a matter of fact if the label/directions had been read it distinctly states to wear it under you normal moisturizer. As far as price goes, it is not cheap when you first go to make the purchase, but the fact that you will have this bottle in your skin care bag for 2 - 3 months (some may have it longer) makes this product no more expensive than some drug store brand you pick up one a month at your local drug store; of which rarely works so you end up actually wasting money on those products in the long run. I would rather spend $60 on a product that lasts 2-3 months (or longer) that $10-20 one a month on a product that doesn't work nearly as well. Kiehls is a well established leader in the skin care community with a proven rack record. This is a wonderful product that I personally love (btw, my skin has been trouble since I was 9, so I have tons of skincare product experience) and I won;t have a problem dishing out $60 wen the time comes. I recently stopped into my local Kiehl's for yet another bottle and the salesperson immediately directed me to their new 3.4 oz bottle (for $100). I was delighted at the thought of more product for less dough! HOWEVER, I got it home and after plenty of shaking etc (and I'm REALLY familiar with this product), no matter what I did, this serum went on differently. It's almost chalky, not the usual light oily texture that soaks in nicely. It dries strangely and sometimes it even clumps, so I wind up with white smears all over my face! It's not the least bit moisturizing, either. In fact, it almost leaves my skin dry and less elastic. And it's funny, after selling me this, the salesperson said I really need to try their "new moisturizer to go along with it" and he handed me a couple of samples! Hmmmmmmmmmm......So, I'm guessing that the formula has changed and now they are trying to hawk another product to go along with it!?!? If that's the case, then Kiehl's please give me the good stuff or you've lost a very devoted and previously happy customer! I truly hope I just got a bad batch! I would love to know what Kiehl's has to say about this and I hope they address my review!
