Received this as a sample and gave it a shot today -- it applies easily (the spoolie has a great shape that works really well for my lashes, adding some lift and curl), layers nicely and wears very well. My Holy Grail for black mascara, Better Than Sex, tends to give me raccoon eyes by the end of the night, but this one seems to stay put. It does clump a little bit more than I'd like -- nothing that a lash separator can't fix -- and because I have a fair complexion with red hair/green eyes, the jet black color is a little too rich for me for everyday wear, but I'm genuinely impressed with the quality of this mascara and I'll probably keep a tube on hand.Most Helpful Critical ReviewWorst mascara on the marketThis is honestly the worst mascara I have ever used, it literally wears off so easily I think that I applied that mascara about 4 times in one day and it is not even dark you have to keep adding coats to it to even get that color. The applicator is hard to use and does not feel good on my eyelashes. I wasn't expecting to like this all that much since it was free but I was so wrong. I ordered a "brand name" mascara at the same time and I haven't reached for that once since using this one. This mascara makes my lashes look so long and full. I've found the perfect number of coats for me is two to get the look I want. I don't wear this on my bottom lashes but don't have any issues with it transferring or smudging onto my top lid even in the Florida heat. Unlike others, I really enjoy the shape of the brush, I think it lens itself well, too getting lashes in the inner corner coated. It absolutely added length and volume and could even work as a bottom lash mascara if you handle it correctly. The problem came when it was time to remove the mascara. I'm not sure what ingredient I am very clearly allergic to in this formulation, but it burned my eyes so badly when trying to remove with my oil cleanser and made my eyes really cloudy (and this oil cleanser never gets cloudy for me). Later that evening I noticed red welts around my eyes that were dry and burning almost like a chemical burn? I typically use Lancome Hypnose Drama or Thrive mascara. This stuff is AMAZING. The brush doesnt seem like it would separate your lashes well, but it does! Zero clumping. My lashes look amazing. Im buying at least 5 more to stock up. Love this stuff!!
