Most Helpful Positive Review A nurse's best friend I am a nurse in a busy hospital. I use hand sanitizer/wash my hands over a hundred times per shift (I've counted) and this is the only top coat out there that will take that sort of beating for almost two weeks and actually keep the color on my nails without chipping. I use it with Orly's rubberized base coat. Sure, there's some wearing around the nail tips after a week or two, but it's only noticeable if you look closely and frankly, I couldn't care less about a little bit of wear because of the general longevity of this top coat. My hands dry out and crack before this polish does. Nurses can finally have great nails, y'all!
Most Helpful Critical Review Dries very fast, doesn't last long I have been using this top coat for about six months. It is probably the best fast drying top coat out there - within 10 minutes, my nails are dry to the touch, and after 30 minutes, I can comfortably go about my day.
When I first started using this top coat, it was nearly perfect. Sometimes it would leave lines or globs of the top coat (since the formula is thick), but I was able to overlook it because it wasn't that bad. But over time, it became increasingly more difficult to use. The formula seems to have thickened to the point where it's become impossible to have a smooth application. Now when I apply the top coat, it drags and leaves an extremely streaky finish, and after a few minutes my polish will shrink. I've found that the only solution is to simply replace it once it gets goopy and ruins your nail polish.
Overall, this top coat does its job amazingly, but it quickly becomes frustrating to use. It's probably only good to use for about 2-3 months. I don't want to have to replace it every couple of months, especially when it's nowhere near finished.

Fast drying and beautiful shiny finish. I wouldn't buy any other product for top coat.
Used it for years.
The ONLY topcoat I will use. 5

I don't know what kind of magic is in this bottle, but whatever it is I'm to the point where I literally cannot paint my nails without it. You can apply this to even still-tacky polish and it will be dry enough to continue on with your day within minutes, it's seriously amazing. The number of manicures this has single-handedly saved and the amount of time this topcoat has saved me is honestly insane. The only (slight) gripe I have with this is how fast the bottle dries up and gets too thick to use, but that's a small downside I'm more than willing to accept when a product is as good as this.
The best. Except the bottom of the bottle. 5

The bottom gets goopy and I can't ever use a full tube. But the best top coat!
Used to love it 2

Used to be my go to but now find it too thick. It's great when you first use it but it begins to get very thick almost like rubber cement after a few uses. It also shrinks your polish. Also instead of chipping the whole polish will come off like a sticker. I prefer other brands now over this.
Thick and peels 1
Jasmine from St. Louis
This top coat is so thick. It's almost like it's already old. My manicure clipped the next day and by day 5 this literally peeled off my nails leaving the color behind. I don't see how this gets so much hype
Not for me 1

Read stellar reviews before deciding to purchase, but discovered this product is not for me. Used twice and found it lasts 2 days on my nails. Will not personally use again. Review ingredients list to make your own decision.
Amazing but… 4

This is probably the best top coat I have used in a long time. It seriously holds its shine, and the products overall application is so smooth it's insane. Only problem is that it chips within hours of doing any type of household chores, so don't think the price is that worth it, but Seche makes my nails look so amazing!!!
Great Top Coat 5
DebMarPir from Foxburg, PA
I usually find my polish peeling within a couple days. This made it last maybe 4 days before I was peeling, my nails looked better and this stuff dries fast!!!!
My Go-to 4

I've used this Top Coat for a long time. It isn't the absolute best I've used but I love that it's readily available.
Best Top Coat Ever 5
Caragon from Forest Lake, MN
I don't think I'll ever use another product. This works so great, it is dry before I know it, has great shine, I can't say enough positive about it. I think I'm on like my 8th bottle, maybe more. I don't even look at other brands for top coats, this is the best and I can't say enough good things about it.
My Favorite Top Coat 5
Corrine from Vermont
This is, in my opinion, the best top coat out there for almost any polish. It provides a super glossy, quick drying, hard surface to your manicures. My polish tends to bubble no matter what base coat I use, how thinly I apply it, how long I wait between coats, or how I prep my nails; but if I use this polish, that doesn't happen and my manicures are perfection! With this top coat, this is my basic routine: clean previous polish from nails if any with pure acetone or clean bare nails with acetone on a cotton ball or pad, wait 30 minutes to dry. Apply 2 layers base coat, waiting 5-10 minutes between coats. Apply polish color of choice, wait 5-15 minutes between coats. Use a thin layer for the first coat and a slightly thicker for the 2nd coat (but still thin, just thick enough so the layer is even). Making sure there is no polish on the skin around my nails (be careful, you can remove any small mistakes using either a wood cuticle stick to remove it or a small brush with a bit of pure acetone, but if you have a big Oops, start the nail over), then apply 1 generous layer of this Seche Vite Top Coat within 3-5 minutes of my 2nd coat of colored polish. I don't wait too long for the 2nd coat to dry before applying this top coat or I start to get bubbles (but even if I do see them start to form, if I get SV on rather quickly, they will melt away). Use a clean wooden cuticle stick or metal cuticle stick to remove any top coat that may have pooled on the sides. Let dry for 10 minutes and then apply a drop of cuticle oil to the nails. This will help your nails slip if you accidentally brush your hair or something soft but let it dry at least an hour before continuing with your day. Just be careful the first few hours because you can still dent it a bit but it will harden up faster than other top coats and it melts and adheres to the polish underneath and cures it very quickly. The only downside to this stuff is that it will get thick and gloopy towards the end of the bottle, or if you hold onto it for many months. Another good top coat I've tried is Orly Sec N Dry, so if this doesn't work for you try that. That one isn't quite as glossy, and I haven't tested it on as many different types of polish, but I recently pulled a bottle of that from my collection after a year of not doing my nails (it was mostly full) and it was still very liquidy and good while my similarly full bottle of Seche Vite was dehydrated and gloopy. I used the Orly Sec N Dry while I waited for this bottle of Seche Vite to ship to me and I had good results on top of a fine glitter China Glaze polish. The Orly is thinner than Seche Vite which can be beneficial for some people, but the Seche Vite is glossier. I was impressed, but the Seche Vite is my all time favorite and gives me more perfect manicures.
Seriously the best 5
Mel B from Minneapolis
I loathe paining my nails because I do not have the patience for the dry time, plus I wash my hands frequently and polish doesn't last very long for me. This top coat is seriously fast drying and effective at protecting my manicure.
Put your money somewhere else 1

The only useful thing about this top coat is that when you want to remove the nail polish you can just peel it right off. Actually, it'll peel off even when you don't want it to lol My nail polish would've lasted longer without it. Smells strong too but I don't mind that
Chipped the next day 1
Kahyleha from Maryland
I'd heard great things about this, so I gave it a try and I hated it. It smells like something you shouldn't put on your body, but I used it anyways. I made sure to use it on wet polish and to cap all edges to avoid shrinkage, but within a day it would chip. The nail polish would've lasted longer without the top coat! I tried it a few times with the same results so I stopped using it. I far prefer the Sally Hanson top coat in the red bottle.
THIS is the best quick dry top coat 5
chriskeene from Gilbert, AZ
I've used other quick dry top coats but this one beats them all. I found out about this in a magazine review newsletter and was glad UJlta carried it. I'm on my second bottle and it definitely made my manicure last the entire week if not longer. I end up changing polish because I wanted a new color. It was not even barely chipped except in one corner of one nail.
Effective, but very chemical-smelling 4
SMM3 from Saint Louis, MO
This top coat is probably the best I've tried (I'm no expert, but I paint my nails at home every couple of weeks). The first minor chips started about three days into the manicure, which is pretty good in my experience. The only con for me is the harsh smell— the back of the bottle reads, "WARNING: REPRODUCTIVE HARM," so I did a little research (I'm a 31yo interested in having kids soon). It seems like if you use this every so often, you'll be fine, but if you're someone who does their nails every other day, this seems like a lot of fumes to potentially inhale. My first instinct was to put my mask on when I caught the first whiff, which may be what I do when I use it.
I love this product! 5
Valorie from Joplin, MO
This is a great fast dry top coat. Fully dries in just a few minutes and it gives a shiny top coat. I also use it when I stamp my nails and the top coat never smears the base coat. I love it!
Best Fast Dry Top Coat 5
Ashley from Colorado
I've used this product for about a decade and highly recommend it to everyone! There is no other fast dry top coat that works as well, and the shine you get with this is amazing. Word of warning though: it's impossible to use the full bottle. At about halfway used, the consistency thickens too much, making for a sloppier application, and the finish WILL shrink afterward. While I am disappointed that I have to toss it after half a bottle, I will ALWAYS use this product as this makes my manicures beautiful and easy to finish!
peels 2
erin from ohio
not sure if I got a bad one. but this peels off! it does dry quickly which was awesome. but just a couple hours later it was peeling off. I have tried it a few times now just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. but nope it has done it every time
Gel-Like Finish 5

The best topcoat 5
Megan M. from Harrisburg, PA
This topcoat makes my nails looked finished and professionally done. I love how quickly it dries. I usually wait 10 minutes and relax after I apply. Honestly, you don't need to wait that long.
I buy this all the time 5

I love this polish. Keeps my polish from chipping and it dries really fast
Drys Fast and is Shiny 5
Baylor from Austin, TX
It drys really fast and seems like it helps my nails dry overall. It's not the shiniest but if you add another coat it can get there.
Always my only top coat 5
