Most Helpful Positive Review Marvelous product!
I have been working in the makeup industry for the past 20 years, and have worked for specific makeup lines, with that being said this is the best eye makeup primer I have ever used! I myself have very oily skin, eyelids included, and to top it off I have small hooded eyes so everything has a tendency to creas beyond belief and run off and under my eyes. I can put this primer on and use any eyeshadow whether it's a drugstore brand or high end and my eye makeup not only doesn't budge, crease or run it also intensifies the pigments of the shadow like I've never experienced before. I live in the Jersey Shore and summers can get very hot & even more humid and now my eye makeup stays perfect for 12+ hours. I've never had a product be able to hold up that long on my skin. Now if only I could find a foundation to do the same. This is definitely my new holy grail of a product.
Most Helpful Critical Review Ouch!
Do not get me wrong I have used this primer in the past, I ran out and decided to buy a new one when I got it the consistency did seem a little off but I thought it was fine and It just need to be shaken up after a couple uses of this my eyes have gotten red irritated and have dry rash all over my eyelids it is painful no I have not used any new products on My eye... and i would send it back if i had return label. If you have sensitve eyes or wanna use this be careful! Because now i have a primer i cannot use!

Alright so with COVID going on and with Ll of us wearing a mask of course our eye makeup is gonna crease and fall apart :( But I got this primer as a sample in a gift bag i got and OMG I always wear it when I'm working 5+ hour shifts at work and my eyeshadow plus eyeliner stays on perfectly !! Even when I am working around hot ovens and running in and out in 90 degree weather. And this is from someone who gets hella oily skin by the afternoon. The one downside about it is that when I wear brighter colors it doesnt stick on as well and putting it on gets oily and sticks on weirdly to my brushes which is something I can easily overlook < 3

I like that this product goes on smoothly and lasts a long time. It doesn't crease, which is great. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide and color corrector. So if your eyelids need something to even the color out before you apply eyeshadow, this isn't it.

I have never used shadow primer before because I just didn't buy that it made a difference. I got this as a free gift with an order and tried it because I had it. I'm so glad I did! It makes my eyeshadow last all day and prevents creasing with my hooded eyes. I'm sold.
Best Eyeshadow Primer for my age!
ipsygurl29 from Calaveras County California
I saw a YouTube video on "Hot and Flashy" where this primer was recommended for women my age, as it doesn't settle into fine lines on our thinner-skinned lids - also doesn't crease. I was hesitant, but I'm so happy that I ordered this. It is by FAR the best primer I've used. It holds shadow all day, does not crease and does a nice job of camouflaging my slight discoloration on lids. (yeah - aging skin requires a bit of magic!) My 18 and 31 year old daughters have helped themselves to this and are liking it too!
One of the few eye primers that lasts all day
Rockin' Robyn from OH
So, my eyelids are oily and I have deep set eyes. I have tried other eye primer brands including Urban Decay and MAC (which I LOVE their eye shadows). This has been the only product that has lasted throughout the entire day. Other primers resulted in shadows creasing and coming off my lid. This still looks good after a 12-hour work day.
This is the only brand I purchase

I have Tried other brands. Nothing compares to this product.

I've bought this multiple times. It truly reduces creasing and prolongs the longevity of my eyeshadow. I also like that it spreads easily and doesn't leave a white cast on my eyelids.

Terrible product. Before I bought it I read reviews about it and some were good most were bad and I bought it anyway thinking maybe it's just a bad batch of product. No..This is absolutely terrible it did not blend into my crease whatsoever it actually clumped up upon first putting it on. I tried to shake it and let some out incase it was getting clogged somewhere, did not help. and as for putting shadow over it yea right.
not worth it
nah from LA
my eyeshadow still creased as much as when I didn't use a primer so this one was pretty pointless, ended up switching to urban decay's and have been perfectly fine with it
Not Good Whatsoever
Shawnda from Minnesota
Absolutely horrendous, I bought it based off reviews. I don't know if its supposed to be shaken up or what but when it was applied it was so chunky and gross. It became like a clump on my eye I had to take it off and just use my concealer. I wouldn't recommend buying this at all. I'm mad I spent the money for it.
Not for hooded eyes
color my world from Louisville
My mobile lid isn't visible when my eyes are open, that's how hooded my eyes are. My crease is so incredibly deep, almost all shadows placed there are "eaten" away and/or crease away into nothing, so I've been hunting for an acceptable eye shadow primer. I've tried several: UD Primer Potion (not bad), TF Shadow Insurance (this review), MAC paint pot (best so far), CoverGirl Lid Lockup (too thin and grainy/ no staying power even on mobile lid), MAC prep and prime (not good either/grainy with no staying power), and Smashbox 24hr photo finish shadow primer (this is better than prep and prime but not as good as paint pot).
Now for the TF Shadow Insurance, like other reviews have mentioned, this one will turn watery on you for no reason at all. The first few times I used it, it was okay. The texture was thin, but not grainy, and the staying power was much like the Smashbox. Then it changed to squirt out liquid. I tried to mash the tube before use, thinking it would mix the ingredients a bit, but it didn't work and the quality didn't live up to those first two uses. Unfortunately, COVID-19 happened and I am unable to return several of those other primers mentioned so I'm trying to use them as mobile lid primers or undereye primers if I can. I cannot recommend this eye primer.

I wanted to note a few things that I was wrong about before I bought this primer based on the descriptions and questions answered.
I thought the consistency would be concealer-like. It is not, it's an oily consistency and you need to remember to give the tube a knead before using or you'll have oil squirt out the top before any product. Not necessarily a bad point but just something to be aware of.
I though this primer would be good for color correcting/concealing on my eye lids that sometimes have blotchy or red lids. This is NOT. The color of the primer looks like a concealer (skin color) but once it goes on the skin any pigment is dispersed. Please be aware. I don't believe this would be good for a cut crease or for anyone needing some actual color correction.
I wish I had known these things in advance. This isn't a bad primer. It seems to keep my shadows on wel but I was looking for more and this doesn't have it for me.

For a too faced product and with all the other eyeshadow primers on the market, this one is eh. it isn't tacky enough to keep eyeshadow from not sticking throughout day. Also if you use to much of the primer your lids seem to be oily or greasy as shadow glides on.
I would repurchase this product
Sheerlove from Los Angeles, CA
I love using this eye primer when I'm doing an eye shadow look that I want to stay on all day long. I also love using this when using black liquid eyeliner because since I have oily hooded lids I always had the problem of my liner smudging the top of my lid or fading away during the day. Since using this I haven't had this problem any longer.

Great If Used As A Eyebrow Primer
Nina35 from Canton, MI.
I don't really wear eyeshadow often, but I do fill my brows in almost daily, and this works AMAZING as a eyebrow primer. They will stay out all day when using this. I use it with a brow pencil and/or brow pomade, and gel. Either way it works fine!
Long Time Buyer of this Eyeshadow Primer
MZ from Cupertino, CA
I love this product. The tube form, where you just squeeze out what you need through a very small hole helps to keep the product sanitary. The squeeze tube IMHO is a much better way of dispensing the product, rather than some products have where you dip a wand into the tube, then the wand touches your finger or your face or a brush before being returned back into the tube. It is difficult to get "every last drop" out the squeeze tube however.
Worst Eye Primer Ever!!
Melissa from Dallas,TX
I decided to try this eyeshadow primer because of all the great reviews. But the moment I opened and used this the formula was separated and there was also an oily substance. I then tried to shake the eyeshadow primer and it didn't do anything. The point to buying an eye primer is to limit oil on the eyelids not add more, especially when I already have very oily eyelids. Also if it allowed me to give it no stars for the review then I would. WORST EYE PRIMER I'VE EVER TRIED! Do not recommend!

I have nothing negative to say about this. I'd compare it to any other product like it. It's a staple item.

Best Eye Primer !!

Hands down can't live Without it! A little goes a long way and I am so glad I found this. The trick is to use a thin layer of it over doing it can cause some problems. But overall was thrilled with it!
