The product truly seems to get the logic of skin- any skin. I was introduced to Active Moist almost 4 years ago by my aesthetician. She set me on a regimen of using this moisturizer morning and night after cleansing my face. I gradually went from acne-plagued skin and constantly checking my cover-up make-up supply to a carefree, almost no make-up unbelievably clear skin type of person. It sounds like one of those ads on TV- it's NOT- the product is definitely NOT one of those overnight or 14 or 30 day "miracle" products. Instead it's a healthy way to actually change your skin from the inside. So if you're one of those instant people... move on. But if you have the patience to stick it out and really invest in your skin then buy it, try it and join the multitude of active moist loyalists! My last before purchasing this was Clinque, which did not work either. I bought the acne clearing kit and mostly used the Active moist and the wash...it seemed to be doing something so, I convinced myself (for a month) that it was just my skin purging and that it would get better. Well, it got worse. A lot worse. I am very prone to picking so anything on my face becomes a complete disaster. This is why I will spend any amount of $$ on a product to get clear skin. 5 weeks later on Active moist and the skin wash, and my skin is STILL breaking out in little clear pustules all over my cheeks and forehead. Finally, I decided it was the Dermologica and the moment I stopped using it, my skin started healing. I now went back to my old faithful Origins and have clear, vibrant skin. My first attempt at applying it was on a morning. Bad idea! I found it did not sink into my skin at all and just sat there, making any sunblock applied over it an impossible task, let alone makeup. I found this unusual as the product is supposed to be oil-free. Thinking I had perhaps applied too much product, I removed it with a makeup wipe and applied even less this time around, but the effect was the same, albeit less pronounced. The next time I applied it was on an evening, at the end of my cleansing routine. This for me was more ideal as I had no other products to apply over this and could let it sink in (or so I thought) overnight. Unfortunately it didn't really sink in.
