Most Helpful Positive Review Bring Back Royal Blue Your Royal Blue Great Lash mascara was the best! Please bring it back, or I'm stuck with Almay, which is not nearly as good - it's navy; it's a weird texture; and the brush feels like it could also be used to clean a chimney. I NEED MY ROYAL BLUE!
Most Helpful Critical Review Disappointed in newer wands I've been using this mascara for 30yrs. People stop me to ask me what mascara I use. Blackest black Great Lash. I'm so disappointed with the newer wands. I've always used both the curve and straight. However the newer wand doesn't apply the mascara the same. I've literally have kept old wands to use with new mascara. I would pay more to have the mascara the way it was. Totally disappointed with the changes.

Basic waterproof mascara. Has gotten smaller & very expensive . Use to be my go to for a basic waterproof mascara, will be looking elsewear unless price drops significantly. Taking advantage of consumers

I've wore this brand of Maybelline for YEARS. High school, Dating, Wedding, Baby Shower, PTA Meetings, Social Functions, Funerals you name it. It's been there in my corner for all the happy and sad tears. I was a Great Lash Waterproof Very Black Girl faithfully. I happened once last year upon the same product with a curved wand. WOW I loved it. I can't find it waterproof and curved wand anywhere now. WHY?

I bought this again on a whim after trying other mascaras for years, fully expecting it to be wet or clumpy, but nope! My main pet peeve is mascaras that make my lashes stick together, and this mascara separates and lengthens wonderfully! Not sure how it'll wash off yet, but so far, I'm impressed!

I have tried many mascaras over the years. I always come back to Maybelline Great Lash. It never lets me down. It doesn't clump and the waterproof doesn't flake off.

I started using this product after you discontinued the mascara in the white tube. That was the best mascara ever. To this day, I haven't found one I like as much as that one. I used to have to remove this mascara with a remover. Now it just flakes off like the ones that are not waterproof. Have you changed the formula?
I'm screwed if they ever discontinue this! 5

I have used this mascara since the 80s and will never buy another! For whatever reason, Maybelline Waterproof is the ONLY mascara that doesn't uncurl my thin lashes. I've tried so many others, even the very expensive brands but they just don't do what this mascara does for me. It removes very easily with baby oil. I will be totally screwed if they ever discontinue this. It's the only thing keeping me from threading!

I have been buying Great lash for 50 yrs. The waterproof formula was changed a few yrs ago to be made with PFAS. I started having allergic reactions, eyes stinging, pain, watery, ever since, and it was only a few months ago that i figured out the problem was the waterproof formula. PFAS is highly toxic. The Guardian had a great article about his.

Always used waterproof for years. Easy to remove with olive oil which is also good for the skin. Hard to find the brownish black tho.

I've used this for many years and love that it is really waterproof and smudgeproof. I've tried more expensive brands, thinking they had to be better since they cost more, but wasn't as happy with their performance. I do miss the brown color once offered. It looks so much more natural on blonds. The brown/black is OK, but the true brown was better. I see some reviewers are expecting it to be magic- staying on until you want to easily wash it off. Ha! The easiest way I've found to remove it is with a dab of real cold cream. Rub the closed lashes between thumb and forefinger with the cold cream. Tissue off. Then soap and water, as you wash the rest of your face. Simple and efficient.

This mascara does not budge! I have asian eyelashes that grow straight down and this actually holds curls. I've tried other brands (la roche posay, este lauder, milk); the maybelline mascara out performs them.

I love this mascara because I have stick straight eyelashes that struggle to hold a curl, and this mascara holds it nicely! However, as I've gotten older, I realize I wish that it came in a lighter shade as the dark is a bit harsh. I would love to see this mascara in a brown or a light brown!

This stuff is horrible to remove,pulled out some of my lashes to get it off,had to use vaseline & an eyelash comb,will never buy again.

I work outside alot... with masks and the cold the warm air goes up your face and the condensation makes the mascara wash off. it leaves me with racoon eyes when I come in.

Ive been using this mascara for awhile now and it does help my eyelashes stay curled if i curl before and after mascara but it's pretty basic and I do have to use a spoolie to brush my eyelashes with to separate them becuz they do stick together a bit but it is waterproof and long lasting no flaking 👍

Good mascara. I love the non-waterproof version, but I workout in the middle of the day so I really need a waterproof. This may bleed a little, but not badly.

This mascara not only survived a full on emotional meltdown with about an hour of hysterical crying, it also did not bugde or smudged when attacked/wiped with tissues or a hankerkief. I have not found it difficult to remove when using makeup remover designed for waterproof products. 5 stars!
