Most Helpful Positive Review Love Love Love!
I was nervous at first to use one of these products, but I absolutely love my hair curled and never have the time to do so I tried it out. It's one of my favorite products I have ever bought for my hair. Its' very easy to use and the curls actually stay longer and have more bounce than a normal curling iron. A+ for this product. I definitely recommend it.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not on Layered or Thinned out Hair
The reviews the I read on this product prior to receiving this scared me a bit, but they also pointed out some pitfalls that I thought I could avoid, being fairly experienced at playing with all kinds of hair gadgets. Having now played around with the product, including all the settings, I can say that it only KINDA works. It would work if you had mostly 1 length hair and if you like all your curls to be the same size and if you have hours to do your hair. I have typical Asian hair that is easy to curl (I have a digital perm, so that helps too), and I have tons of layers and intentionally thinned out sections (it is hot in Hawaii). When I tried the product on the sections of my hair that were over 10" long, it definitely worked - somewhat. I bought the product to avoid having to drag multiple irons with me when I travel. When I saw the presentation of this product, I was led to believe that it could achieve different sizes of curls (I usually have 2 or 3 irons going to achieve this more natural effect). I have no idea why I believed that. This tool only has one rod inside it, so, DUH, one size of curl. The different settings only helped with how tight the curls are rather than the size of the curl. The unit had a hard time with the sections that had different lengths in it (it will whirr and eventually get stuck/tangled) and sections that even a smidge more than an inch in width (it will beep and not roll your hair in). Given that it can't really handle deep layers and given that you can achieve the same spiral or loose curl look with a curling iron(by starting your curl near the root, spinning the curling iron once, and dragging the iron in that position down to the tip of your hair in the same manner as a flat iron), I'd have to say that this unit is actually less flexible than a regular curling iron. It is also WAY more expensive than a tourmaline iron from the same brand. Oh, and you can only point the iron in one direction, so it is more cumbersome to use than a normal iron, unless you can get your arm to sprout from your back or get someone to help you. The bottom line is that it is gimmicky, and I don't see appreciating this unit unless you have one length of hair, have tons of time, and really just can't figure out how to work a normal curling iron.

My hair got stuck
Bree from Quincy
I used this product a lot until my hair got stuck, and I couldn't get it out. I tried everything to get my hair out and eventually did but it took me ripping my hair. Yea, it's now in the trash. Never using again. Also I barley any hair in so...
Great product but not for my hair.
Mary from Illinois
It took a bit to get used to. I have fine straight hair but looks thick. The curling iron Works well but not with my hair. My hair doesn't keep a curl or let alone to keep a style. The curls were out within 30 minutes.
I returned the curling iron today.

This is the second one I've bought. I love this thing. My hair is perfectly curled in ringlets every time. The back of your hair is a little challenging to hold it properly you need to hold your arm weird. But it's worth the perfect shiny frizz free ringlets. Easy and quick.

Didn't tangle my hair at all. Not even once ! My hair is very thin, completely straight & has absolutely no body & is passed the middle of my back. This sucker is AMAZING❗
Biker Chick from Pa.
My hair is extremely fine & straight. If I try to curl it, it's straight in about an hour. Litteraly. My best friend used this on my hair & I actually still had nice curls 3 + days later without putting any product in my hair at all. I couldn't believe it ! This thing works miricals on my flat hair ! 100% HIGHLY RECOMMEND❗
I Love this Product!
Swilfing from Vermilion, Ohio
I love this product! I just wish that it had a curl direction setting. Since it alternates direction, I alternate sides of my head because I prefer the way it looks. I have fine hair, but a lot of it and it used to take a long time to curl my hair and it would not last. Now It takes less that 10 minutes and my curls last all day. Tip: If your hair is long enough put it up in two ponytails and curl sections that way, it saves a ton of time because it is easier to control the sections.
Ripped my hair out.

I know people say this is so amazing, but this got my hair caught so much.
Pleasant surprise 😀
Raven from Brooklyn, NY
I've had this tool about 6-7 years since I first saw the commercial bought it but never figured out how to properly use it so I put it aside and dismissed it as a failure. This week I saw a spot on Television for it detailing how to make the most of it, so I took it out and decided to be more patient with it. The results were stunning and very pleasantly surprising. The curls are spirals that w loosen gradually but are fantastic and long lasting. As with anything there can be some glitches but you will become acclimated to what you need to get the best of it. I suggest a texturizing spray before and stick to the 1/2 to 1 inch sections of hair, arrow towards the scalp and use the higher setting for longer hair. Be careful of the barrel, I got burned. I hope all enjoy this product, can't believe I've had this all this time and didn't appreciate it more.
When it works, it works
Amanda from Texas
I have had this for over a year now. Curling short hair was no problem.Curling long hair, I cannot tell you how many times it has gotten stuck!!!! There was moments when I cried because I thought I was going to have to cut my hair to get it out. My husband cleaned out all of the hair that was stuck to see if that was the problem. NOPE! My hair still gets stuck in there and becomes a huge rat's nest!!! When it works, it is great!!! But when it decides to suck up your hair, be ready to ball your eyes out. I tried doing little pieces to see if that was the problem. My hair STILL got stuck!!! So use caution with this product.
This product is AMAZING!

I had a little bit of trouble at first but then I realized that I had put it too far up my hair! Once I figured this out it was so easy!
Don't buy it!

Okay first off, I sectioned my hair off into tiny sections. Then, I began to curl. MY HAIR WOULDN'T CURL AT ALL! So, I tried again...AND MY HAIR GOT STUCK! IT TOOK FOREVER TO GET OUT! I EVENTUALLY HAD TO BREAK IT OPEN SO I DIDNT LOSE TOO MUCH HAIR! I DO NOT RECCOMEND! DO NOT BUY! IT ISN'T WORTH IT!
damaged my hair
lr from alabama
the only thing this product gave me is damaged hair. it is broken off all over bc it would get stuck in it and burn it off or i'd have to rip it out. and the curls look like what my hair looks like after i sleep on it wrong. save yourself the time and money
It works with some advice
southerngirl1973 from Clarksville, AR.
This product does work if you follow some tips. First of all, use a small amount of hair. Too much hair will make it get caught in the iron. I would not recommend using hair spray. It seems to work on clean hair with no product best. I have learned that it also works best on undamaged hair. Some of my hair had some damaged areas and the iron seemed to get caught in those areas. My hair is around the bra line area. It look around an hour to curl. This is not the product to use if you're in a hurry. All in all, I liked it and will use it again.
Will get your hair caught and fried
Lisa from Ontario
DO NOT BUY. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND LEARN TO CURL WITH YOUR FLAT IRON. This product makes nice curls however it will get caught in your hair frequently and it is impossible to remove it. It fried my hair and took some of it with it. Flat irons can make just as nice curls and less likely to take your hair out and damage it.
I would not buy this product
sky from New York
I would not buy this because it always gets stuck in my hair even if I brush it and it doesn't even curl my hair sometimes.
Blondie from Tampa
I have really thin, pin-straight hair... it never holds a curl more than an hour.. I bought this figuring it was easier than an actual curling iron however it was not. The ads seem easy but for someone who doesn't style their hair everyday
I like it but
Kate from Allentown, PA
I like this gizmo and will keep it but it's most likely best for longer hair. I have hair between chin and shoulder length. I only have to do a series of curls around the crown to get the soft beachy wave look. My natural hair has soft waves. It takes practice but you can get pretty fast. The curls relaxed for the 2nd day but still looked good.
Best Curling Iron Ever!
Dawn from Kent, WA
My hair always has a problem holding a curl, but this curling iron has by far been the best one I have found! Holds the curl all night!!
hanleaarr from South Carolina
Did fine the first few passes then I used it on a thinner strander of hair, like around my face, and it got tangled in the barrel. I had to tug my hair out. I definitely would not recommend for someone with really long & thin hair.
Mrs. B from East Syracuse
I have stark straight hair and it is impossible to keep a curl for more than 2 hours. This curler creates an almost perfect ringlette and it has lasted HOURS so far. I am seriously impressed. Best curler I've owned. Worth the money.
Love this curler
MomRN from Syracuse
I bought this because it was a fight to curl my 6 year old's pin straight hair. Her hair curls well but she's afraid of the curling iron. This is completely safe and easy to do her hair without fear. If you have too much hair or it's not placed correctly it won't suck the hair into the curl chamber. Follow the directions! Clean, dry hair that is sectioned and combed will work perfectly. I'm ordering the 2.0 for myself.
Love this thing
Sunshine from SC
Just wish the thing opened a little wider because sometimes when I'm trying to get my hair in there it gets caught on the sides and then I have to smooth it out and start that curl over. But effective, cool, and easy to use.
Doesn't really work
Brit from Denver, CO
Definitely disappointed with this product. I have straight, medium length, healthy hair & this machine would not curl my hair whatsoever. It's also kind of tricky to use. It sucked up strands of my hair so hard that I felt like Garth on Wayne's World. And it had a burning smell to it. You're better off just using a regular curling iron.
