Most Helpful Positive Review HAPPY So I picked this lil beauty up today perfect timing because i washed my hair an extensions today this flat iron did deliver. The shine that this leaves is amazing its smooth the corners have gaurds so no snagging or pulling-- nothing like those 99.95 chi at all you can tell it has titanium infused plates. Oh and Im african american with natural hair texuture about 3b/3c
Most Helpful Critical Review BURNT MY HAIR I wouldnt recommend this hair straightener it has caused severe breakage on the left side and back of my head leaving my hair shorter than the rest of my hair it also snags my hair causing alot of my hair to break and fall out. I have used other Chi straighteners in the past and this has never happened to me before. I have also used my friends straighteners that are by Chi and their straighteners didnt cause severe breakage to my hair like this one.

Very nice product. I love this model compared to the older models because it heats up very fast, it takes less time to straighten my hair (less passing the straightener to my hair) and it glides very smoothly without tugging my hair.
It's lasted 6 years so far 5

It's lasted me 6 years so far. I do use it very often! My hair is very curly and frizzy! It doesn't straighten in one pass but in 3-4 passes in each strand of hair.
Defective twice in a row, buyer beware 1

So I bought one to replace my older model, plugged it in and it had this annoying buzzing noise that kept getting louder as I used it, I had this same one previously for five years and figured I just got a dud so I exchanged it for the same one, STILL the same issue AND it changed temps on its own, almost frying my hair...not ok. Ordered the "Barbie" version online instead, so far no issues—fingers crossed it lasts, if not, I'm over CHI and switching brands. Inconsistent quality, be careful if you go with this one guys!
The best hair Straightener I ever had. 5

My husband and I were very happy with the outcome of the product.
I absolutely love it 5

this flat iron is amazing, it did my hair in one pass, as long as you set the temp right and know what you're doing this flat iron will work for you. it didn't snag my hair, it left it soft and shiny. it usually takes me 30min to do my hair, I have medium thick wavy hair. only took me 15 minutes, I'm impressed. I recommend this to anyone!

I Love how quickly it heats up and the adjustable heat settings are great. I also love the heat resistant travel case that came with it.
really great 5

This is the first straighter I've ever purchased and I'm happy with it. It left my hair very soft and smooth. The temperatures are adjustable between levels and it heats up very quickly. A very natural look and will recommend!
Great product 5

I love this flat iron. I've always been using Chi, and this is the best model by far. It smooths my hair with a single pass, and leaves my hair silky and smooth. Love it!!

I have several flat irons (I'm addicted to beauty tools) but this is my fave. Have in the 1 inch and 1.25 inch. Chi never disappoints.
I had high expectations.. 1
Itzel from Rancho Cucamonga
I bought this a week ago - returned it 3 days laters.
This flat irons pulls your hair, the plates are too short for what i was looking for. I had to kept passing it over and over. It left my hair frizzy and not silky straight like what from what I was used to getting from the inifinitiPro by Conair (purple) It was also making an annoying noise because it's digital, I assume. I wasn't used to that kind of noise so that was a break deal for me to return it. The ONLY thing I liked was when i curled, i got a nice beach wave.

Worked decently for about a year then shorted out and won't stay on.
Frizzy, long thick hair! 5
Krys from Plant city
My hair is long, frizzy & overall super thick.. For the past few years I've only used this straightener and it still works like magic! It doesn't fry my hair plus it leaves it looking shiny and healthy even when I don't use a protection spray. I highly recommend this to everyone.
4 years later.... 5

I have had this chi for 4 years now & it still works as if it's brand new! I use it on the highest degree & I have ALOT of hair so it takes me a while since I have to separate my hair in sections so I definitely get a lot of use out of this straightener; So I can say that I have never purchased any other straightener that worked better or even last this long! I absolutely recommend to everyone! Hands down the best one!
Works great! 5
Liz K from Long Beach, Ca
this is the best product (out of 4 over the years) to straighten my hair. I also feels it makes it a bit shinier I have had multiple Bazillion and Keristan treatments (that often work for a month - not 2 1/2 -3 months) and I have thick, unruly blonde/grey hair (not colored) and this does a great a job It has a long cord that twists and turns Highly recommend

I have very course frizzy hair in my natural state. I was using a 3 inch wide ceramic flat iron by another brand but never achieved a smooth silky texture I wanted. I asked my new hairdresser what a good flat iron to buy would be and she recommended a Chi and to go down to one inch. I was skeptical but I went for it. It heats up quickly and I get the results I wanted. I also used Chi iron guard so that may help achieve the look too. I already recommended this to my friends.
Definitely not worth the price 2
Jess from Taunton
I have this and I have a $30 conair straightener and the $30 works way better. For some reason it just dries out my hair (even when using chi protectant cream) and leaves it a frizzy mess when straight to the point I have to overload it in oil to get some moisture back in. Don't have this problem with my other straighteners.
Messed up when using 1

I rarely used the straighter but i was doing my cousins hair on the highest heat because her hair is thick and she has a lot once i was done i turned it back on it wouldn't turn on i notice i button was pressed it and didn't click i guess the high heat ruined it
Not favorite 3

This isn't my favorite flat iron. It is not bad but I feel I have to go over a few times to get shiny smooth. My hair works better With just titanium I think no ceramic
Great quality 5

I've had this flat iron for approximately 6 years and it's really really good. Still heats up and works great just like it was brand new. Granted I take care of it, but considering it's age it's awesome!
Really smoothes my hair without feeling crunchy or fried!
Amazing! 5

My other straighteners would always break a little after a year. I have always wanted to get a chi straightener since their hair care products have always been a favorite. I have very thick curly/wavey hair which can be a nightmare! Straightening my hair would take anywhere from an hour to two hours and it would be a frizz ball in about 40 minutes after I was done, but with this straightener it takes me 15-20 minutes on a bad day to get through all my hair and looks better than how it did with previous straighteners! Another huge plus is if my hair doesn't get damp from the weather or whatever it stays straight for a long time... like two days (with minimal touch ups after I use my dry shampoo of course) definitely worth the money!!
I loooovvvvveeeeee this chi st8ner 5

I have had my straightener now for 2 years and I love it. Always works out for me like the first time I used it.
Works like a dream 5

I have super fine hair, but I have a lot of it. I always use a heat protectant and it leaves my hair smooth with few flyaways. I have used this to curl my hair as well, and it also works really well to curl but takes practice to get the hang of it. I read some people complain of pulling their hair, but I think if you make sure not too use too much hair for one pass, it won't be a problem. Overall I would definitely recommend this one.

I have fine thin hair and use it on low/medium settings. I'm absolutely in love! Leaves my hair silky and smooth. Does not pull my hair.

Love at first use 5
Jess from Lancaster
Wow! My iron hasn't finished cooling off from my first use and I am in love. I returned my babyliss porcelain iron for this one after using the same iron from my mom. This iron heats up so fast, moves smoothly over hair and does not snag! I have thin wavy hair that often needs a few passes. I set the heat to 370° as directed on the box and only needed 1 pass. This saved me a ton of time, my hair is shiny and nice and straight. This came with a nice red satin case too. This iron is definitely worth the price!
