Most Helpful Positive Review Went to a rave&Saved a life, Makeup was still flawless. Not even a joke, I bought this because I was attending Beyond Wonderland and I heard this was a great setting spray to try.
With 80% of the night over, at 11pm I came across an unnoticed and alone young woman having a seizure, while fighting the crowds I carried her with some help from others to first aid. as I gave her to a nurse, I began to start crying uncontrollably. i ended up having a mini mental breakdown. cried uncontrollably, wiped my face wildly. after I calmed down I remember I had a lot of makeup on!! I went to the bathroom to wash it off because surely it was gravely messed up, BUT IT WASNT. SHOUTOUT TO THE MAKEUP GODS. MY CONTOUR WAS STILL PERFECT, MY EYELINER STILL EXACTLY WHERE I PUT IT ALMOST 12HRS EARLIER!!!! NO TEAR STAINS, NO RUB MARKS. my lipstick was gone but I mean, we can win everything every time yo.
it definitely went above and beyond expectations.
and when it was time to take it all off, it came off easily with coconut oil. (: (: (:
Most Helpful Critical Review Worst Setting Spray EVER I tried this product when I was low on cash and needed a mattifying setting spray. I usually use the Urban Decay De Slick which has been a miracle for my ridiculously oily skin... but this product was the worst cosmetic purchase I've ever made. Firstly the liquid smelled like whiskey, which went away quickly after it dried but it made me think how much alcohol they made have had in this product. It broke me out terribly and the nozzle where the product sprays out wasn't very good either. It wasn't a fine mist and after I got done spraying it I could see big wet dots all over my face, it didn't dry fast at all, and it never actually set my makeup. I would have been better off with actually spraying alcohol on my face to control my oil (which I definitely don't advice). Spend a few extra bucks and get the travel ($14 for 1 oz.) or full size ($30 for 3 oz.) of the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting spray... now that's a product that actually says what it's going to do! This just felt like I paid to have smelly water sprayed on my face.

This is definitely my favorite spray of all time. It works well with any of the foundations I use it on. Currently, my daily combo is an Este Lauder foundation with a thin setting powder that I mix myself, and this on top. My makeup lasts most of the day, and when I start to sweat or get oily it seems like it melts more into my skin, and as long as I don't RUB it there isn't transfer. I can also dab my shine off with tp and my makeup doesn't come off, just settles back into matte.

I've been a die hard fan of urban decay all nighter setting spray, but I'm officially converting. Today at work I had a breakdown and sobbed in the walk-in for 20 minutes, and after wiping my tears away, my makeup was perfectly intact. There was no tear streaks or foundation rub off. 10/10 recommend if your life is a wreck.

This spray works well- it sets my makeup perfectly and has a nice aroma. It is superior to the cheaper sprays, they seem to show every pore. My makeup lasts for many hours with this spray, it's nice not needing to do touch-ups on busy days when I don't have time.

I absolutely love this setting spray! Lasts all day, and doesn't have a sticky feel. Nyx matte setting spray is my go to, and the best part is that it's very inexpensive!

I have extremely oily skin no matter the weather and season. This was my first time trying this product & I'm normally iffy due to my skin texture. After a whole night out, my face make up stayed on & kept the oily shinny look maintained.

Didnt really work for me. I have oily skin and though I wasnt super oily with this as I would be without any setting spray, I definitely wasnt matte. So it helped control the oil but did not give a matt finish.

Causes all your makeup to drip and forms places with no makeup (think rain drops). I at first thought it was user error, maybe I was spraying too close to my face but no matter how far I sprayed it always caused it to look like I got caught in a rain storm. Try another setting spray. This is not the one.

I have very oily skin, and I found this spray does set my makeup and keeps it off my mask! But it doesn't keep my makeup mattified and the shine comes through within an hour.

I use this to set my makeup when I have to wear a mask at work. It's not 100% transfer-proof on my oily skin, but it helps a lot with mask transfer. The finish is great, kind of satin-matte, and it's comparable in performance to more expensive options (Milk, Urban Decay).

I love this setting spray! I use it differently. I like to spray my sponge and then apply my foundation it has worked for me for years that way. Makes my foundation water resistant and long lasting.

I always buy two of these at a time because this is my holy grail setting spray. Melts my makeup into my skin so beautifully and helps make my full coverage makeup looks be transfer free and separation free make my makeup lash all day and definitely does the job with keeping me oil free and shine free ladies if this isn't working for you your not drenching your face enough with it don't be shy :)

It's important to note that my desired makeup look is "natural-looking", subtle, and well-blended. I wish 1 single setting spray would accomplish the magic of long-lasting makeup with a matte-ish application. Meanwhile, the following combination is my perfect solution for a healthy-looking long-lasting glow. (The real key to a healthy-looking glow though, regardless of how much makeup you use, is routine skincare. Makeup just compliments it.)
Once my makeup is done, I spritz this NYX setting spray once in an X and T formation across my face and neck. Once it is dry enough, I spritz Urban Decay's All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray, also once in an X and T formation across my face and neck. (They have a matte version too but it has too many negative reviews so I went with the regular one.)
It might be helpful to note that I also use Dermablend's Insta-Grip Jelly Primer 3-in-1 Multi-Tasking Primer before applying makeup.
As some slight oil inevitably builds up during the day, I also very lightly pat those areas with a powder puff and Essence's Brighten Up Banana Powder. Small, compact, and easy to carry along.
