I have combo skin and use full coverage foundation. This sets my foundation beautifully, provides full-glam, flawless face, and lasts all day with little touch-up necessary. I've been a loyal MAC girl for 10+ years. Still love MAC, but THIS is the best powder I've ever used. Worth every penny if you want a flawless appearance. Here's my ONE complaint: the powder is in a dome-like shape that sticks out of the container, making it extremely fragile. I had it in my makeup bag and dropped it on the floor and the powder broke into a million pieces. I bought another one and it fell onto my vanity (about a 12-inch fall) and the powder broke apart. Total disappointment. If they'd just offer this in a regular flat compact design it would be perfect. If you can be extra careful and gentle, you'll love this powder.
Let me start off with my skin. I have oily skin that is somewhat acne prone. I have been using some topical gels and creams from my dermatologist to control the acne and scarring.
So, I have a clean face ready for makeup. I put on some foundation, concealer, and top it off with this guy. I just used a regular powder brush to apply. I don't usually use primer, unless it's for an event or if I'm going to be out long enough. With that being said, when I first put on this powder, I LOOOVEEEDDD the way it just blended into my skin. This product controlled my oil and I thought I found "my precious", but that wasn't the case. Within an hour of the humid air in Texas, my face was oily. AN HOUR! I'm better off without this product when it comes to controlling my oily skin. I was super super excited because I thought this product "controls your oils", but it in fact made me worse. i also noticed, after two days of wearing the product, that I had developed some red-ish bumps on my face. My skin is just not liking this stuff. Apparently, everyone else likes this product. I don't know why this doesn't work for me.

This powder, both me and my 60+ mother loves this powder. I am a makeup and skincare connoisseur so I try out a bunch of product and I keep coming back to this powder. My mother gets her make up from me and this is one product besides foundation that she doesnt want to try anything else.

I've always been a liquid foundation wearer. However, as I navigate through my 40s, I've noticed that pretty much any liquid I use gathers into my pores and fine lines. I was aware of powder foundations but thought, NO WAY would they give enough coverage for my problematic skin (dark circles, oily in some areas; dry in others, sun spots) so I steered clear. Recently, I decided to try powder and my friend recommended this Lorac powder. AND YA'LL - my skin is perfection with this product. The key for me is that it has something to "stick" to. I put on serum, sunscreen, spray with a dewy setting spray, then apply the powder. First with a powder pouf then a brush to blend. Then I spray with the dewy setting spray one final time. Lasts all day with no settling, smearing or greasiness! And it doesn't feel heavy or cakey. I haven't reached for liquid foundation since discovering this routine.

So, as the title, I use to
this to set my foundation - I've never written along since I have oily skin. Even though it's on the pricier side, it lasts me several months, so to me, it's worth the price tag. I am oily, so especially across my T-Zone, I need to touch up throughout the day, but that's normal for me. I think this is the third compact that I've gone through, and I really do love this stuff to set my foundation. Huge plus, it's fragrance free!

Best compact powder, hands down. I've been a fan of this one for years!. I've tried others and this one just seems to do the job better for me. Blurs, perfects and sets!.

I like the coverage this gives overall, but it doesn't come with a sponge. I use a thick flat powder brush a to apply this. It's just SO MESSY. I think I'm sticking with my Estée Lauder Double Wear mattifying presser powder.

this product pretty much replaced liquid foundation for me. i used to get really bad hormonal acne so i have some scarring left behind, as well as large, visible pores on my cheeks. i used to desire a full coverage look but having heavy products sit on my skin everyday wasn't helping. so i started using only concealer to cover the few breakouts i get now and i finish a setting spray and this powder. the coverage is amazing for being so lightweight and my pores are much less visible after application. i believe i've been using for 4+ years now and still never felt the need to switch up products.

I use this product everyday for my foundation. It is easy to apply with a foundation brush. Buildable coverage for a natural look. Blends perfectly with my complexion.

This is the best pressed setting powder. It's totally underrated. You don't hear about it much in the beauty guru community, but I love it! It never is cakey on my skin. I use it with a beauty sponge (ie Real Techniques/beauty blender) and it looks so nice. No flashback in photos. I have medium/golden skin Asian skin and use Medium. Don't like that there isn't a huge range of colors for darker complexions.

After a week or two of trying it I finally returned it. I had to keep applying because it made me look shiny and oily. It definitely was not worth the money. I had high hopes after reading the good comments on here. Unfortunately it did not work for me. I traded it in for benefit powder and so far this seems to be what I was looking for

This stuff is amazing! I use it after my liquid foundation and it makes my face look flawless!!! I have combination skin and it also helps keep my face from being shiny. Doesn't cake up like other finishing powders that I have tried
AngelRena from Annapolis, MD
I wanted to love this (because I was desperate for a company with powder and it was half-off). Had to return it because it did not sit well on my face. Not sure if it's due to the fact that I wear a full-coverage foundation or what.

I have been using mac pressed foundation for a while and loves it, but have combination and acne prone skin, i thought i would give this one a try. I would say coverage is good and it does mask some of the shine. But it makes a mess, first it doesn't even come with a sponge so you need a brush.. and in doing so you have powder EVERYWHERE. And since I use these pressed powders as a to go makeup, its a hassle. Definitely not buying again
Desert Diamond from Arizona
I didn't find this to be any different than a regular compact or loose setting powder. I don't see a noticeable reduction to pore appearance.

I LOVE THIS I CAN USE IT WITHOUT FOUNDATION AND MY FACE LOOKS GREAT IN THIS HUMID ENVIRONMENT.
Elva from Anaheim
I only put face powder when my skin condition is very good and this powder has remarkable effects on covering redness and pores. Definitely Must have product! ! !

This review has nothing to do with the products ability but is a warning to my fair girls. I wear the lightest shade in everything (except the new Pur love your selfie I am LN2) and the color marked "fair" was sooo orange and too dark on me. Not for porcelain skin!
Bonnie from Carlsbad, CA
I use this powder every day after moisturizing and adding sunscreen.
Janie from Lapeer
this is the ONLY powder that has stayed on 8+ hours without touch ups, isn't patchy. And blurred pores. The only powder I'll ever use from now on. Such a hidden gem.
Milktea from Oklahoma
This is very similar to MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. I would say it's a more mattifying version of it.

I love this product and have used it for a very long time. I don't ever wear liquid facial coverage; I just use my skin care moisturizer and my power over that
Sylvia from VA
I was so upset when this was out of stock for a while, everywhere. I'm glad it's back because I have combination skin so this is great for my T-zone. It doesn't dry out my skin and contains the oil. It also feels lightweight on my skin but covers. This has been my go to powder for everyday. The problem is the the packaging now is subpar. Two of the three that I had ordered had the powder falling out of the container. I love Ulta and they sent me a replacement but the replacement came like that as well. I can't blame it on transit with it happening that often. Just a heads up, I'll still use them but I have to be super careful now.

Great product, excellent price!

I mostly love this powder. I have sensitive oily skin and I use the Lorac liquid foundation which is great. This powder has a similar formula so it's good if you have acne. I have two big issues with it though. 1: I got the same shade as the foundation but it's quite a bit darker 2: it doesn't come with an applicator or anywhere to put one. The whole point is to be able to make touch ups throughout the day, so I have to keep it separate in my purse? I don't get it.
Catlady from Little Rock, AR
Love this product! In fact, I would be heartbroken if Lorac stopped making it. The product is easy to apply and covers well. It does not cake or settle into creases. I apply with a brush but a sponge works well too. Color matches my skin perfectly.
