Most Helpful Positive Review LOVE LOVE LOVE! I can't stress enough the LOVE I have for this product! Well done, L'Oreal, truly!! Not everyone has the option of permanently dying their hair any array of color(s), but THIS product allows those of us who are either nervous and/or unable to make such a commitment to hair coloring-- #nocommitment needed! This hair make-up product allowed me to enjoy the freedom of fun for a full weekend! Once the work week started I was easily able to wash out all the coloring from my hair (fun hair is frowned upon for me during the work week - sigh). I used #silverblue600 , #lilac500 , #pinkviolet400 -- I will be using this product again in the future.
The process of applying the hair make-up was a breeze! Just like the directions state a little bit of hair make-up will go a long way. However, the more you want the color to pop the more hair make-up you have to apply. My hair would be considered dirty blonde/light brown with highlights. On my super blonde highlights my hair needed less hair make-up applied for the color to pop than the darker stands. The directions say to section small pieces at a time to apply the hair make-up to and this is SO true. The larger the strand of hair you work with the less evenly distributed the hair make-up will be on that stand. The hair make-up does dry incredibly fast too! My hair was dry in the matter of minutes and the color left on my hands after was also dry -- I rubbed my hands on my arms and not a single trace of hair make-up was left on my arms. Washing my hands with soap and water took all the coloring off my hands on the first try.
The one thing I was very curious about was if I could sleep with the hair make-up in. I believe the directions do say not to do this lol. I tried it anyway! :) Turns out it wasn't too bad. The coloring didn't bleed onto my pillowcase (amazing), but I did wake with impressively tangled hair -- no clue if that was b/c I slept more wildly or of it was the hair make-up. In all fairness it's not good to sleep with make-up on your face so it's probably not good to sleep with it in your hair either :) --if you do though it won't ruin your hair! YAY! Lol
PROS: Easy to use, apply, and comes out of your hair super easy during the first wash. No commitment!
CONS: I can't wear it everyday. Does leave dry hair make-up on the hair brush you use.
Suggestions: The hair brush you use to brush the wet hair make-up through your hair after you apply it shouldn't be your everyday favorite hair brush. The hair make-up does dry onto the brush. If you're like me the next time you go to brush your clean wet hair with this brush some of the dried hair make-up will come off in your hair. However, it's not enough to actually notice.

I was so excited to use this!! I love hair dye, my hair has been every shade from pink to blue, purple, and silver, but I?m a professor and need to keep a natural hair color at work. I thought this would solve my problem and let me have colored hair on the weekends.

However- after applying and letting it dry, you cannot brush the area of hair to make it lay normally, and the dried product looks like that cheap Halloween spray paint hair dye. It looks extremely fake and dry, and made my hair look messy and gross all day. Really disappointing.
BUT- let me just say, that I LOVE L?Or?al permanent at-home hair dye. I use it all the time and it?s fantastic. This one was just too good to be true.

I have used the light hair ones by accident and they work amazing so I thought I would buy the formula for dark hair and it would be light. Nope did not show up at all. Sticking with the light hair formula because it works on dark hair.

I have light brown hair, but I bought the brunette product hoping there would be more color payoff. It took the entire tube, and you could barely see it. It also made my hair crunchy and sticky. I washed it out immediately because it was too gross to handle. Don't waste your money

oh my god this stuff smells insanely good. i used the raspberry color on my brown hair and it looked amazing, and the moonstone color looked SO GOOD on my cousin's dark dark brown hair. it's a little crunchy when it first dries, but once you style your hair it looks and feels normal. barely any transferring and it washes out easily!!

Feels dry, crunchy and falls of every time you touch your hair. When you sit down it gets all over the place. It ends up all over your clothes. It only looks nice if you do a specific hair style where you won't touch anything with your hair. Small steaks on an up due.

Does not wash out. Turned my dyed blonde hair turquoise blue and will not wash out after several weeks. Tried to dye it blonde again and the blue came through it.

On dark brown hair it worked okay, but I tried the purple on some of my highlights and after washing it out throughly, there are blue green streaks in my hair. I'm very upset by this and hoping it will fade.

My daughter wanted her hair to be pink because I dyed my gray streak pink. It went in so easily, mainted the colortge whole day, and she told everyone who would listen that mom painted her hair.

I thought this was pretty good! The color was vibrant, but my hair was a bit stiff. I could still style it just fine. I wouldn't use it with a straight style, but with curls the texture isn't noticeable.

I have to admit it was east to put on, but within minutes it faded away wasn't as vibrant as i thought it would be. I never will buy this product again because in minutes it disappeared.

I got the moonstone800 and theres no color showing on my hair as shown in the picture. I'm only dissing on the moonstone800 not the other colors. The other colors turned out pretty good.

This product is really great if you're looking to have some fun with your hair for just one day. My biggest worry was that it wouldn't come out after I washed my hair but every drop of it did very easily thankfully. The application process was easy but messy, and it is not exactly "transfer resistant" as the brand claims on the box. The only real complaints I have about this product is how stringy and gross my hair felt once I had it in. I followed the directions perfectly, didn't apply too much or anything, and the part of my hair with the product in it felt disgusting all day until I washed it out, which was a real shame because I would have loved to have shown my new fun color off but felt very self conscious about it looking the same way it felt. The color was a beautiful light lilac shade, very subtle not vibrant at all, and it can definitely be diluted if desired. For reference, my hair is bleached ash blonde in most places.

I thought the color was not going to be as vibrant and shown on the box but it actually was. I'm glad I got to try this product. Only it was a little messy but other than that I love it. Can't wait to order another.

The color was very pretty and washed out completely with no problem.
However it gives your hair a funky texture and smells bad. I could still smell it faintly after I washed and conditioned my hair.

I used this product for a couple of days but it seems more like a use for a special event type thing. The product hardens in your hair and it makes it feel weird.. I would definitely use it one special occasions or for specific hair styles.

I was super excited to try this because I Already have my hair dyed.I Thought it would be fun to play around with. It was very fun I even put it in my son's hair! They love the color blue. looks metallic once applied because it has shimmer to it. The only thing I noticed is you have to use a lot of product on darker hair which makes it take longer to dry. The results vary and its does not come out as dark as the box. (My boys and I have 4 different hair colors from blonde to dark brown and they were ok but not what I expected by looking at and reading the box.)

This was some of the easiest color to add to your hair. And by far the most fun! It was super easy to apply where I wanted to make my own unique hair color. It is great to have some fun and add color that washes out easily. Will be doing more in the future.

Wow I was way too excited about this. I have long red brown hair and got the MOONSTONE color. It looks really awesome when the sun hits it but as I go to take pictures it's another rainy day. so here is a simple picture with flash only!!! And look how amazing . I'd say 1000% buy this for you for your kids whoever ! It's so much fun and washes right out! It's not sticky it doesn't smell weird either It's kinda a soft floral smell that I like . It's just right and I'm excited to buy more colors! Thanks !

I have thick black hair I got the raspberry color to give a dark fuschia look I did a small portion in the front of my head (ear to ear) and used one whole bottle. It worked great!!! It is very easy to wash off your hands/skin/tools it does get everywhere... it stayed for a few days but was less and less vibrant DRIES YOUR HAIR OUT REALLY BAD but I would use again for quick fashion looks

I really like the ease and use of the L'Oreal Paris color is the product it was very easy to use and I really was excited to see what type of blue hue my hair return. Let me first start off by saying that I have naturally black hair and that I also get it professionally dyed. So when I went to use theirs I only saw a slight tint to my hair and that is usually the case with having dark hair and a hopefully after a couple uses I see a stronger hue. I think this is a great product as it is not a permanent solution but a way to get creative and see a temporary look. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family who are looking for a change but are afraid to make a commitment.
