I am 20 years old, and have had very severe acne scarring. I go to the dermatologist, and have everything from Retina, Tazorac, special cleansers, and sulfar-based lotions (for those of you familiar with dermatologist products). I was so desperate to get rid of my scarring, that I decided to try this to even my skin tone and lighten my scars. WOW! Im only on DAY 4, and my scars are already 35% better! Everyone around me, after DAY 2, started complimenting me on how good my skin looked! (and I wasnt wearing any makeup) The routine I started:(NIGHTLY, after evening cleanse) I get a facecloth and soak it under hot water. I ring out the excess water, then place the towel on my face to open my pores. I quickly pat my face dry with a seperate towel, and then apply the oil generously. I resoak the towel in steaming hot water, squeeze out all the excess water again, and place it on my face (now that the oil is on) and let it steam my face and open my pores to let the oil seep into my skin. When the towel has lost its heat, I do this a second time. Then, I leave my skin AS IS. Let it dry naturally, so that as my pores close up and any leftover oil on the surface remains on the surface or closes into my pores.
I read many reviews and was so disappointed. Used on my legs for age spots from sun damage and also stretch marks on my stomach from pregnancy. The first 3 days was fine, smell was a little strong for me but I was determined to use this 2 times a day and see awesome results like everyone seems to be saying. Well about the 4th day I noticed a rash on my stomach and 5th day noticed it spread brown on the front of my legs and all the way down to feet. Rash also spread around to back of legs and back of knees, & HOLY COW !!!! I had no idea what it was and it kept getting worse and itchy and spreading. The only thing different I could figure out was the oil, and the rash is only in the spots where I applied the oil. I thought... huh, no way! Well, upon further reviews I found a huge group of people describing red itchy bumps that appeared after a few days of use also. So user beware, try on a patch of skin for 4 days or so and see how your skin reacts to the oil. So disappointed people didn't even comment on some of these major sites about some negative things. So please test before using on a large area, especially since I normally never have sensitive or problem skin. Have not used in about 4 days and the rash is still really red, bumpy and spreading, hoping it goes away quickly.

After my shower I always put about three drops on to my hand and rub my hands together and put it on my back. It works perfectly and I've seen a tremendous difference in my scars and I have barely any active acne now.

Just get it. It helps with scars well, as it claims. But I use this as a moisturizer, for my eczema, ingrown hairs, face oil for guasha, cuticle oil, etc. And it smells amazing. I wish it was a perfume. I love that it comes is several sizes too and so well priced Just get it. I'm telling you this is a HOLY GRAIL. I never write reviews either.

I read about the oil in a beauty magazine. It was supposed to help the appearance of scars. I thought "why not". I have surgical scars. I tried it and it had been helping. My daughter had eczema and every now and then, it flares up. She put it on her back, and within 2 days, the inflammation and itching stopped! I wish we knew about this 20 years ago when she was 5 and prescribed steroids to treat!

I now understand why this is a holy grail product for so many people. I originally purchased a travel size to try on a new surgical scar and after applying it daily for several weeks it was barely noticeable. I kept on using it daily and when I went back for a follow up visit 3 months later my surgeon thought I had scar reduction done by a cosmetic surgeon. I purchased some for my father and he used it religiously on 55 year old facial scarring from acne and the difference is remarkable. After six months of daily use there is a massive reduction in the severity of the scars, his skin tone is very even, the texture is smoother, and the scars are barely noticeable. We both plan on repurchasing this in the future. A little goes a very long way, so the price point is fair for how much use you get out of each bottle.

This was recommended by Alta staff and I couldn't be any happier. I already see a difference on my sunspots on my face. They look so much lighter. Just stay consistent with it. I use it only at night time and it feels so good. I've also treated a scar on my hand from when I was a teenager and I can see the difference it's much lighter

I have been using Bio-Oil Skincare Oil on my face both morning and night for six months now and I have not seen any positive change. In fact, I somehow have *more* dark marks/hyperpigmentation. The only thing this oil may be doing is helping my skin be less flakey. I've also had an increase in breakouts, but I don't think that can be blamed on this oil. I started using the oil to help fade my hyperpigmentation, but now I have more. I kind of want to stop using it, to be honest. My skin type is sensitive and "combination" (oily-ish dry). I rarely wear foundation, but when I do, I wear Fenty Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear in 350.

This does a really great job of lightening scars (Surgery scars, one's from childhood, stretch marks). I personally can't use it for a long period of time otherwise I start breaking out where I use it.

I've used bio oil for 10 years now. I was severely burned on my thigh, ankle, and foot. My entire upper thigh had 3rd degree burn as well as a cadaver skin graft. the doctors told me I would have a huge scar. I used this product 3x a day & 10 years later you would never know it was there. The burn unit doctors were amazed after my 3 year follow up.

ive been applying this oil on my face every night before i go to bed under my moisturizer and i really love it. i do think it has reduced my acne scars and other scars on my face which is awesome. i havent tried it in stretch marks but i can imagine it would work pretty well. its also great because my skin gets really dry in the winter, so i pair it with a thick moisturizer at night and i wake up with my face still dewy and moist even in the dead of winter which is a total lifesaver. my only complain is the smell is kind of weird and granny-ish but its very faint so its not a huge deal.

I had my suspicions of "magic skin oils," but this stuff really is magic. I was reccomended this oil by a friend when I had gotten new stretch marks on my breasts from the pill. I also had old white stretch marks on my thighs and butt. I saw results after just one day for my new scars! The marks on my breasts faded within a few days and it softened the look of the ones on my thighs! It by no means fully erases stretch marks, but rather fades them quite a bit. I am very fair skinned, 20 years old, and I have combination skin on my face but dry skin on my body. I have acne prone skin on my face so I wouldn't dare use this for my facial acne scars, but for my body it's amazing for stretch marks!! I put this on in the morning after a shower and at night before I go to bed. I also use it to brighten and hydrate my tattoos! This stuff is wonderful.
