Most Helpful Positive Review Don't judge it's cover
How I use the product is that I use a base coat and waited until it dried. The product drys pretty fast for people who's actually impatient. Then again, I coated the Essie polish and, the color, oh my gosh it's true to its color. I loved the color to the point that I double coated it to make it darker to get the fall look. It kind of took abut linger to dry but then again, it's a wonderful product. After when it's dried, just added the top coat when it's dried. I use the matte topcoat just to make the solid look. Gotta love the product!
Most Helpful Critical Review Hmmm...
When I first bought this colour, it was the perfect lilac shade for my skin tone and I loved it. After a while though, I noticed that the colour in the bottle turned light blue with no purple in it at all. I applied it and the colour was a light blue on my nails too. At first, I thought that it was only because I stored the nail polish in a spot that made the colour turn blue. But all my other Essie nail polishes that were stored there did not change in colour. So I bought another bottle, and the same thing happened. I bought a third bottle, and my results were the same. Overall, I was disappointed that it turned to light blue, because the original lilac shade looked really good on me and I loved it a lot. Maybe its just me?

Baller slippers is a beautiful color but the length of time this takes to dry is insane. I won't ever buy it again. I waited ten minutes in between costs and then allowed my top coat to dry for ab HOUR and it was still gooey and immediately messed up. Nobody has hours to wait for nails to dry. I know it isn't my top coat either because I use that all the time with other polish with zero issues. The Essie gel couture polishes are nice. The brushes are nice for application. I can't get past how ridiculously wet my nails still are and now it's been TWO hours.
Awesome color for summer
Grammy from Darien, IL
I love this color for summer. No worry about clashing color with what you're wearing. So easy to apply and especially like the curved brush; so much easier to do a mani/pedi.
I would buy this again and again

I love essie nail polish. Stay on my nails for a long time!
Julzie from New Mexico
I love essie nail polishes. Blush and nudes are my favorite shades. I bought the shade "like a rebel" and it's a pretty copper rose gold shimmer. Use 2 coats it to paint my nails and toes lasts a while and save $ from going to the salon. 💅✨️
I would buy again

This nail polish is a great addition and perfect for summer.
3 stars color, but 5 for Essie
Minniema from Royal oak
First Essie color that I do not like. It's chalky and covers poorly, and yet it's really thick. This one is a dud but I'll use it for toes. I guess. I'd return it if I could. This color was 108 Free To Roam.

Bought this in penny talk to match some rose gold sandals and it was perfect. Loved the smooth finish and it was durable!

Product is too sheer
LOVE THIS POLISH!
MsPalmettobug from GVL, SC
I have purchased this polish in different shades many times… it has a wide brush and you don't have to use as many strokes when applying. This color "sugar daddy" is a sheer, natural pink and I wear it daily. It goes with everything. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I wish it was just a slight bit less sheer in color.
Not worth it
Pink Unicorn from Texas
Beautiful color but not worth it. It chips super fast.
Gorgeous color BUT...
Pink Unicorn from Texas
The color is BEAUTIFUL! That said, it chips within a couple days, literally. On top of that, it's THICK, so it's impossible to do think coats. That thickness makes it bubble and you never get a smooth coat past the first one, despite letting each coat dry thoroughly. I will just stick with Sally Hansen.
I Would Buy This Again

I have the ballet slippers pink and it took several coats to fully cover my nails because it's so light. However, it looks great with my tan.
Doesn't match description
Rae from Philly
The color (imported bubbly) is described as a golden beige and the picture looks like a champagne color, but it's literally a glossy white color. The polish itself is good quality, but I'm disappointed in the color.
490 Not Red-y For Bed
Lovinshoppin from San Diego
I love this formula. It goes on smoothly without streaks and has excellent coverage on the first coat. This shade of red is gorgeous for summer - a neutral medium tone shade - not too bright, not too deep. Actually, perfect year round!
Pretty at 60 from Ann Arbor
Decided to paint my fingernails and toes this time and so far so good. Used the Essie here to Stay base and Gel Setter coat then Quick-e drying drops. Pretty color that's a little different from my usual coral and red. Very nice. Love Essie polish. Saved a bundle on a nail salon and looks just as nice.
Best in class
R from ALABAMA
Excellent color translation, brush quality, and duration of chipless wear compared to others in price range.
Best quality nail polish among all in this price range.

Color translates well and polish integrity and brush quality are best in class.
Great Neutral Pink
CornbreadPudding from Birmingham, AL
"Ballet Slippers" is pretty and easy to apply. I love the wide brush. This shade lasts a long time and even when it chips, it isn't noticeable. I will definitely buy it again.
Gorgeous summer shade!!

I love love love bikini so teeny! It's the perfect summery shade and it's such a beautiful blue! It suited my pale olive skin a lot

These metallics are my favorite. They are super sparkly but not in the chunky, early 2000's way. Definitely unique
Seas the Day
Autumn Rose from New Haven, CT
I went to Ulta to buy Mint Candy Apple, but it was out of stock. Next to it was Seas the Day, which looked just like Mint Candy Apple to me. I really didn't see any difference. To my happy surprise, the color is the same (a creamy mint green), but Seas the Day is slightly iridescent. It's a really pretty color with just a touch of shimmer. Perfect for spring and summer.

Love Essie products and especially this color. It's such a lovely deep red color. I will be wearing it often!

I always love Essie nail polishes and this one does not disappoint! A very nice deep green color, goes on smooth and full coverage.
