Most Helpful Positive Review My favorite face wash
I received this product as part of a gift set in their smaller size, and fell in love! First, let me start off with the only thing I'm not sold on: if you wear makeup that's usually tough to get off (like eye makeup) this may not do the job to get all your makeup off. You may need to use this along with some type of makeup remover. However, I feel this is fine to get off most foundation and other makeup other than hard-sticking eye makeup. (My reason for taking off a star)
I would recommend that you use this with some type of face sponge because a little goes a LONG LONG way when you do! Each time I wash my face I put a dot about the size of HALF a pea on my face sponge, and it's plenty to scrub my whole face for a few minutes, and I have to wash out my sponge afterwards for awhile to get it out completely!
The scent is light and fresh. I have very oily skin on my nose, and this stuff just clears away that oil and leaves behind smooth skin without drying out less oily areas. I'm hoping that this will help clear up my skin, but I haven't seen anything yet. I've been using it in the morning and evening for about 3 weeks, so we'll see.
Most Helpful Critical Review So drying but it smells so good, ugh!!!
I am SO confused about this product!! I've switched to clean beauty & cruelty free brands. I love using organic, cruelty free products now!! My skin is clear, balanced & I never have to struggle with acne anymore. Unless I try a new product that does not agree with me. As I've started using more organic products, I have learned that not all organic ingredients are best to use on skin. Fragrant essential oils can cause acne and sensitization. So now I make sure that my products on have ingredients that cleanse my skin clean & hydrates! This cleanser only contains cleansing ingredients & non irritating ones. Which should be perfect. In yet every time I use it, my skin feels more & more dry & tight. I have combination skin. An oily T-zone & dry cheeks. This cleanser has caused dry patches on my face. It makes the skin around my eyes raw, sensitive, red and burn to the touch, after just 1 week of using this. I've read so many glowing reviews on this product. So.. I do not know if it just not working for me or if I chose the wrong time to use it, during winter. I've tried using heavy moisturizers with it & I use hydrating facial masks atleast 3-4 times a week. I was using the Cera Ve hydrating cleanser with hyaluronic acid for a year but their not cruelty free & also not organic. It was a really great cleanser but I refuse to give money to animal abusers! I have also tried the Youth To The People antioxidant cleanser & it was just as drying! Perhaps this & the superfood cleanser should only during the summer time in a less drier season. I have been trying to find a moisturizing, organic and cruelty free cleanser but it has been difficult. I think I have finally found 1 from Andalou Naturals. It's the Anti Aging Cleansing milk and I just ordered it so I cannot wait to try it!! I think If this or the superfood cleanser contained hyaluronic acid or sodium hyaluronate, they would be perfection!! I would suggest this cleanser but to stop immediately if your skin feels dry!

My skin is pretty chill and I rarely break out. But I woke up with super dry, itchy skin and a ton of tiny whiteheads on my chin and next to my lips after using this a couple of times. My skin feels like it's burning when I try to apply anything, even water. Also, the scent is too artificial.
Broke me out..

My skin type of acne-prone, dry and sensitive skin, so I'm always on the market to fragrance-free or slightly fragrant products. I didn't think this would be an issue, but it was. Pacific products are vegan, but this disturbed the pH level and broke me out. I stopped using it and won't be repurchasing. It was actually one of the first products I've tried from the brand.

My favorite thing about this wash is the smell! A little goes a long way so I know the bottle will last me awhile. It's creamy and my face feels so refreshed after using.
Works great but is drying

I have super sensitive skin and I'm always cautious about trying new products. I patch tested twice and everything was fine so I started using this cleanser daily. It didn't bother my skin at all. I really enjoyed using this cleanser until I started noticing how dry my skin was getting. I generally have normal, acne-prone cheeks, and a dryer forehead. My forehead started to get dry flaky patches. I use a strong hydrating gel and a moisturizer on my skin to combat dryness, and live in a fairly humid climate, and yet this cleanser still dried out my skin.
HG Face Wash

I have tried probably 50 face cleansers in my long life, and this is one of the few I have repurchased. Now, bear in mind, I double-cleanse, so I'm not looking for this to take off a ton of makeup. I absolutely LOVE the fragrance (which oddly, does not smell very coconutty considering all the coconut derivatives in here). It does not foam at all--which I like 'cuz who wants bubbles in their nose and eyes? It's doesn't strip the skin, and leaves it soft and pliable. I actually like to wash my face when I use this. For the record, I have smooth but aging, semi-dry skin.
Best Cleanser And Makeup Remover

I have oily, combo skin and have always struggled with getting makeup off. This has honestly changed my life. I can finally play around with makeup and know it'll come off at the end of the day with this, and leave my skin smooth and not stripped like other makeup removers. 10/10 will be rebuying!

I wanted to love this but after a few days of using it I had to stop. I've never had a face wash dry my skin out like this did and I have very oily skin.
I love the scent
Kristie from OH
The smell of this face wash takes me back to the beach, however if I don't use it with my Clarisonic it does not clean my face. I have to go over it with Garnier's waterproof micellar water to get my face clean, Pacifica's micellar water does nothing to clean one's face(don't waste your money), but it smells good. I wish they would make their body wash, lotion, and body scrub smell as good as this face wash and the shampoo and conditioner they no longer sell. They changed the scent on the shampoo and conditioner. I w
I buy this all the time

All you need is about a quarter size amount! If you're looking for a face wash that will literally remove all of your makeup this is the one! I've never came across a better face wash that actually takes off my full coverage makeup. Yes I go in with an actual cleanser after I use this for my blemish skin but to take off makeup?? THIS! LOVE!

I got this cleanser as a freebie during an Ulta promotion with other Pacifica products just over a month ago. This cleanser is pretty great, not irritating to my sensitive skin nor has it caused an acne flare up. If you enjoy beachy scents, this will be perfect for you as it heavily reminds me of a coconutty sunscreen scent. My major gripe is that my skin is often left feeling a bit on the oily side (I have combination skin), and if you think you've rinsed it off well enough... rinse it again. I've found that a soapy residue is left on my hands and face if I don't rinse it rigorously. I don't see myself buying this once my current tube is empty.
Smells Like a Heavenly Beach
GlamGirl from Bethlehem PA
I was skeptical initially. I followed the directions and was disappointed that with a name like sea foam, it did not lather when applied in a circular motion on my wet face! A few days later I discovered that I could work up a much better lather in my hands and then apply it to my face. And Ooh, it smells SO good, like a fresh breeze at the beach! And it really does remove makeup but is still extremely gentle! I will definitely repurchase!

Im not a fan of this brand but thought I'd give this a try... shouldn't have lol. It was very drying to my skin I was looking for something with kelp, seaweed etc and saw this one which was pretty wallet friendly. You get what you paid for I guess. Only reason I have it a 3 was because it did cleanse pretty well and the smell wasn't bad at all. Still I live in a very dry climate so something that dryes me out more is a big no.
Skin felt soft after use

I have sensitive skin. This product left me feeling clean and smooth without itching.
I have bought this product again...
Happywithpurchase from Chicago
It's gentle on skin and doesn't dry it out. I usually spread an oil like apricot oil all over my face first and then apply the cleanser. However, the cleanser is non-drying used on its own. The oil just boosts makeup removal.

Used this for TWO DAYS. Woke up this morning looked like I sat in the sun for 3 days with no sunscreen. My face is extremely red and burning. Inside of the redness are tiny bumps that cover my entire face and now start are tiny white bumps OVER MY ENTIRE FACE!!!! HOW IS THIS EVEN SOLD! And FOR ALL SKIN TYPES?!?!?! EVEN SENSITIVE?!?! OMG this is a NIGHTMARE!!! I've never even had acne in my LIFE!!!!
Sea Foam Face Wash
DD from Florida
I did not like this face wash. I have sensitive skin and I would not buy the Sea Foam Face Wash again. I normally use the Pacifica Crystal Youth face wash but the Ulta store by my house was out of stock. So I decided to try the Sea Foam Face Wash and it made me break out and the moisturizer I did not like either. So I'm going back to the Crystal Youth face wash and moisturizer.
My favorite cleanser
SunnyJ from North Texas
I'm so impressed with this cleanser. It leaves my skin feeling soft, moisturized, and clean. I did try another Pacifica cleanser but I'm coming back to this because of how it makes my skin feel.

My new favorite face wash!

I use this product ever morning. My face feels nice and clean and I love the smell, it's so refreshing to me. I follow up with a great moisturizer and I'm good to go!
One of my favorites!!!

Foams up nicely to remove dirt/makeup, but doesn't over dry your skin. I'm probably on my 50th bottle by now!
Allie from Hillsboro OR
This product makes my skin break out especially around my chin, it almost looks like a rash. The one thing I liked was that it smelled nice, however it may be the fragrance that is breaking me out.

I never had acnes before but after using this product i have two acnes which really hurts and one of them have left a mark which is not even fading away.I stopped using it and recommend not to buy this product if you don't have any skin problems.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR SENSATIVE SKIN!
Nellie from Newark, NJ
I have normal to dry skin. After cleansing, my skin feels a bit tight and stripped. I didn't hate this product, but wouldn't repurchase. The product didn't completely remove my makeup, unlike the description. Definitely not suitable for all skin types. Pacifica products are packed with tons of fragrances and essential oils that may be irritating for sensitive skin. For my skin, it wasn't too bad and I didn't see any sensitivities. I love the brand's philosophy and would love to support them, but there's too much fragrance in everything.
I am surprised how much I like it
sesirrah from Setx
First of all, I have to say I have very oily skin and since wearing masks I have started having acne like never before. It's awful. I've been using Murad clarifying, which I like, but decided to try this when I got a freebie set. I actually really like it. It feels very gentle and leaves my skin soft. I feel like it's helping balance out my super oily skin, but it doesn't make it dry or tight. I really see a difference in the acne. Maybe it's something else in my lineup, but at the least this doesn't aggravate it. It doesn't completely remove my waterproof mascara, but I don't expect it to. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the scent, I dislike coconut. Any time you pick one dominant scent, you're going to alienate someone, & this one does it for me. That being said, it's not so strong that I can't tolerate it. I like the results so much that I will probably buy it when I run out of my freebie. It may not be so great for someone with dry skin though.
