Most Helpful Positive Review My skin's best friend I've been using this cleanser for more than 5 years. It gave my skin the moisture balance and free from acne. Never have I had to worry about breakouts. However, since earlier this year, I was informed by the pharmacist here in Malaysia that this product had been discontinued. Is it true??? because I cant seem to find this cleanser anywhere! Thus, I had to switch to L'oreal fresh cleanser and make up remover, eucerin fresh foaming gel, Neutrogena Deep Clean facial wash, St.Ives fresh cleanser and make up remover and L'oreal revitalift but nothing really worked for my skin especially my forehead and chin. Pleaseeee neutrogena, bring this product back!!
Most Helpful Critical Review Left my skin abnormally dry and irritated I recently added this cleanser as a part of my skincare routine. Very quickly I noticed how much it dried my skin out. My skin type is usually on the oilier side, so naturally I wouldn't think that the foaming trait would be too rough on my skin. Well, I was quite wrong. I've used it twice a day for a couple days and it is making my skin tight and crusty. Whenever I put moisturizer, toner, and spot treatment on, it burns. This morning I had to moisturize my face twice before I left the house, and it was still dry all day. I understand that this might have a negative effect on me because of my skin type, but it is going too far. I am also noticing some redness around my mouth.

It burns my eyes after removing makeup. Secondly it leaves face dry and I have combination skin. it made me have so many bumps on face. this made my pores open and created blackheads. the face wash smelled like a bar of soap. I gave it a try for two weeks and now I have the worst pimples. Do not buy

This face soap is good for sensitive skin but it doesn't remove makeup. I've washed my face three times with this after using a makeup wipe and have still found makeup on my face.

I have used this for years and it is my go to face wash! It gets all of my makeup off, even hard to budge waterproof mascaras! It always leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean and never causes me to break out or have weird reactions. It also doesn't burn my eyes when removing eye makeup. I love it so much and also can't beat the price point!

It took me about a week to figure out what was causing a random eczema flare up on my face, which I have only had eczema on my hands, sometimes small patches on my arms or legs before using this cleanser. All my other products (makeup, etc. ) I've used for years with no problems. Turns out this stuff has fragrance in it and has far too harsh ingredients to use on my face. I will be going back to Cetaphil and Dove sensitive skin cleansers.

I bought this cleanser randomly because it was on sale and was really surprised about this product. I have sensitive skin and this product works great at getting all the oil and daily dirt off of my face. This product doesn't leave my face too dry compared to some overpriced facial cleansers. I'd definitely recommend this product for the price and overall great feeling skin.

This is my go to face wash. Any time I try something else I always end up back to this. It's a gentle basic face wash but when you are prone to breakouts that sometimes less is more. This does the job without all the extra stuff that can sometimes cause more irritation.

I'm giving this product one star, it smells good and is a thick soap and with water and friction it does foam up. However, it burns your eyes like crazy and that is where I need to remove makeup the most. I made the mistake of buying waterproof mascara and seen that it says it removes waterproof makeup, but it does not. I still have all my mascara on after the shower and I scrub and scrub while my eyes are burning from this product. I had high hopes Neutrogena, but you failed me. Along with not removing my make up after a couple weeks of use every night I have cystic acne that will not go away and keeps popping up.

Bought this to replace my First Aid Beauty cleanser, thinking it would be a similar product. Boy was I wrong. This face wash doesn't lather well at all and leaves a thin film on my face, even after many many rinses. After a few days I noticed some acne around my nose and chin. Switched off this cleanser and it immediately went away. This product does NOT clean very well nor rinse off well. Avoid at all costs.

I have tried so many products on my skin. This by far is the best, and for the price, I am so pleased. No allergic reaction, removes makeup, is gentle on skin. I wasn't expecting that it also have a favorable smell. It smells like fresh linens. Please don't discontinue this product! It is so great on sensitive skin, and I have struggled! I feel like I finally found a holy grail, without having to spend $40 on a high end product that might not even work.

This works fine as a make-up-removing soap. I have been using Neutragena soap for years with no complaints. I thought this time I would try this Foaming Cleanser. Well, it doesn't come out of the bottle as a foam. The instructions just say to wet your hands, put some soap in them, and rub your hands together. Well, any soap makes bubbles when you do that! The soap works fine, but just don't expect it to FOAM.

I have acne prone skin I began using it in the shower everyday and I realized after 2 months that it was just making my acne worse and it definitely drys your skin out however I guess it would be an okay cleanser for people without acne problems.

Started using this cleanser at my boyfriends house and realized that literally every time I use it, my skin clears up..(I have awful hormonal acne) so I bought one for myself and I just absolutely love it!!!! Every time I try to wash myself with anything else my skin breakouts and then I go back to this and see an instant difference in my skin. I have oily skin also so it's perfect for me. Only reason I took away a star is because I wish it was fragrance free:/ but other than that I'm obsessed!

I have been using this instead of the wipes. I prefer doing this than rubbing a cloth all over my face and ripping my eyelashes out. However, this leaves my skin SO DRY. Like, Sahara desert dry. Also kind of smells like alcohol/chemicals, so that's a bit concerning.

It seemed to dry me out and I don't like the smell, smells like a cleansing soap you'd use for dishes or something, like chemicals mixed with evergreen sap.

I've used this for a few days now and I can say that I definitely enjoy and love using it. It truly cleans my face well and removes my makeup, if you're someone like me who likes to be able to do something in one step I definitely recommend you try. I wanted a one step process to remove my makeup and this gentle cleanser is great!! Though it takes some practice for your eye makeup bc you might get some cleanser in your eye the first few times but once you get used to it you'll know what to do.
