Most Helpful Positive Review Lipstick vs. Shimmer
Today I discovered Burts Bees sells actual lipstick and decided to buy some lipstick and some shimmer to compare. I bought Blush Basin for lipstick and Peony for shimmer (basically the same shade!) They both go on very smooth and cover well and leave your lips soft just like their chapstick, but the shimmer seemed to be a little more thick and therefore more moisturizing. The shimmer has that burning/tingling minty taste/feel whereas I didn't get that with the lipstick. The lipstick gives a satin, more professional look whereas the shimmer is, well, shimmery and reflects light more, making it more of a for-fun lip color. The lipstick seemed to stay on a little better - the shimmer is very smuge-able whereas the lipstick stays put better. Both are great!
Most Helpful Critical Review Another disappointed Cocoa lover here...
How on earth can Burts Bees justify discontinuing this shade? This was the only neutral shade of lip shimmer you sell. The other shades have waaayyy too much pink and orange and look terrible with my complexion! And I've tried them all only to throw them in the trash! Apparently I'm not the only customer who feels that way looking at all the reviews asking for Cocoa's return. Why don't you read all the reviews!! Maybe a company who sells mostly cleaning products doesn't understand the make-up industry and brand loyalty?!?

This stuff works FAST. When I first bought it I was skeptical, but the magic is in the ingredients. There isn't ONE BAD THING in the ingredient list. All of them are natural oils and some mica for pigment and shine. I had really chapped lips when I first starting using this brand and within less than a week, with application everyday, my chapped lips were gone! They'll come back if you stop using the chap stick for more than a week. Also it's perfect for the winter months as well and it lasts for about 2 months if you where it constantly. The color Champaign is perfect for those who just want a shine on their lips without any color.
The only bad thing about it is the fact that you can't roll it back down. I think it's because the tube is so thin that the chap stick suctions itself so the point where it can't be moved back down. So be careful when rolling it up and go a little bit at a time.

This is false advertising, I bought this thinking it was non-toxic and good ingredients, and then I looked it up and it actually does have a lot of toxic ingredients in it. I will never buy from this company ever again and I suggest everyone to do the exact same
annie from massachusetts
it's absolutely disgusting, doesn't taste like the flavor at all, it reminds of something from the 2000's
Great cruelty-free product!

I really like BB's products & have used 2 of these colors. They are sheer, shimmery, & go well with any type of clothing. Also affordable, cruelty-free, & they smell great! Rated this one a 4 because of the light color on me. :)
Pretty but Minty
Katrina from Rhode Island
I wanted something tinted and moisturizing for day to day wear and I thought this would be perfect but the minty smell is too overpowering for me. the color is nice but you have apply a lot to see it well and I dont think its very moisturizing, rather my lips felt more chapped after wearing it.
Perfect blush of color and goes on smoothly.
KT from NY
I just needed a hint of color and some moisturizing. It covers both needs perfectly!
These chopsticks never disappoint

Spreads nice and it's smooth but there are some glitter chunks and burns a bit
Stephy from Foley, AL
I have loved this during quarantine! I put it on when I take my mask off, and it helps my lips from chapping. I use a little concealer, mascara, blush, and this, and I feel pretty, even in my pajamas all day.

Works really well such a pretty color. Light weight

Nice hydrating balm the only thing I would change about it is the glitter in it rather than that I would highly recommend this product!
Gave my lips chemical burn
Joce from New Jersey
The peppermint is too high up on the ingredients list so it tingles when you use it but the more you reapply you don't notice that it starts to burn your lips until the next day they are raw and blistered. Would recommend if used on top of vaseline so the vaseline Can protect your lips but as a product over all the color pay off is okay and it burns/damages your lips.

very pigmented!!!!!!!! minty feel. more of a lipstick than a lip shimmer. got super messy fast.
Color Is Great!!!
MM992 from Minnesota
I wasn't too sure if I'd like the color, but I decided to try it. Needless to say, I actually like the color a lot more than I was thinking. I'm so happy I got it.
My favorite lip color
Chickpea73 from Syracuse NY
I am not a lipstick person, I prefer tinted glosses over lipsticks. I have these in almost every color and they are my favorite lip color product. They last for quite a while on my lips, feel moisturizing, and deposit just enough color for me. I personally like the pepperminty feel, to me it's pleasant and cooling (and there isn't as much of that peppermint effect in these lip shimmers as the lip balms to me). I also like the light shimmery look. I carry several colors with me in my purse.
MissyT from Boyne City, Michigan
I bought 3 shades and I don't like the light pink because it doesn't look smooth on the lips and peels if your lips are chapped. The other 2 darker shades are better, but I find the minty taste a bit overwhelming.
A very nice product for the price

Swipe some on for an immediate impact. Take it with you, you will need to apply more.
No color pay off
Anonymous from Long Island
The color pay off is little to nonexistent. I ordered this in cherry and the color is barely noticeable when applied. To be fair, my lips are on the redder side and there was a faint pink pigment when swapped on my wrist. Moisturizes just as well as any chapsticks I've used. And worst of all, the lip balm would not return back to the tube after I twisted it so I had to split the balm and place a portion in a contact lens case. Would not recommend unless your lip color is on the light end of the spectrum.

I've used Burts Bees for years love their products.
I would buy this again

It's perfect on the go at the gym or anywhere.
Lip balm... with benefits
Becca V from Philadelphia
This is my absolutely favorite lip balm. I use the watermelon color and it's a great light mauve shade. There's a slight mint flavor, and it's not sticky at all. I've replaced all my lip glosses with this. It's great!

Gives nice color, glitter and hydration. I have 3 colors and love all
KO from Ky
Love this stuff! Use as a moisturizer and for some natural looking color. Has a little bit of shimmer but VERY subtle.
Lupus Law from Bartow, Fl
Made cheaply so it sells cheaply. I bought if for being Burts Bees but he is gone so is the quality.
SML from NY
I had bought this about two years ago at a airport and when I saw it here I had to get it. It's amazing, it acts like a chapstick while making ur lips colored. It made my lips feel hydrated and cooled. (I got the color Rhubarb) I would totally recommend!!
