Hair Gets Caught in Handle

Comments about Chi Turbo Round Boar Brush:

The end result from using this brush was nice after I used it for the first time the other night. My hair felt super smooth and silky. However, the handle is SO grippy that my hairs were constantly getting caught in it while blow drying, which kept causing little knots. I have long, thick hair, so it was a little hard for the boar bristles to really get in there even though my hair was sectioned off into small strands. I'm going to try this brush one more time when my hair has had even more time to air dry, maybe that will make a difference. If not, I will be returning it for a round brush with bristles more suited for thick hair.

My new best friend. This is the best for an awesome blowout. I have long fine hair, but lots of it. This brush gives me great volume and shine. I let my hair dresser try it, and I wasn't sure I was going to get it back.

Comments about Chi Turbo Round Boar Brush:

I have super thick , curly hair that I like to blow out. I've had a million different round brushes for this purpose.
I'm not sure what made me grab this one the other day, but I'm so glad that I did. This is a pro quality brush. It made my DIY blow out look as if I had it done at a salon.

Comments about Chi Turbo Round Boar Brush:

I just did not care for this brush at all. The bristles do not catch my hair nicely and it is just too much work trying to use it. I only use a round brush while blow drying. Will have to return it. Wish I could find the one I had - I have used it for several years and the bristles are finally bending.

The handle needs a serious redesign—like other users, my hair got tangled and ripped out every time I used it. I replaced it after 3 uses.

The bristles seem nice and I believe the brush is a nice quality. However the rubber grip on the handle catches my hair as I try to maneuver the brush while blow drying, thus ripping/breaking a lot of hairs. For that reason, I'm tossing this brush in the trash.

I currently have a Chi Turbo Round Boar Brush I need to replace. However, I do not know how to tell if it is the medium or large size. It measure 1 1/4" at the barrel not including the plastic red rim at the top and bottom or the bristles. Is this the medium or large size?

I have naturally curly, coarse, shoulder length hair and am wanting to go with a straight style for awhile. Would the round Boar Brush be best to blow my curls out? I was thinking the medium size?

I have curly, fine, long hair. I've been trying to figure out what is the best kind/brand of hair brush or comb for my hair? In most health and beauty magazines they say boar bristle brushes. Most of the brushes look like they would tangle my hair??

                            A:

Due to the type and texture of your hair, we recommend to use a ceramic brush with nylon bristles rather than one with boar bristles. The boar bristles may tangle your hair and/or give you a straight result of a style with no body or volume. The boar bristle is most popular among stylists because it creates smoother looks and may give a longer lasting blowout. It really depends on what you want your finished style to be.

The best round brush to use for your particular hair type and texture would be a ceramic nylon bristle brush like CHI Turbo Round Nylon Brush. These will also give you a smooth and shiny look but with added volume:
