Most Helpful Positive Review My one and only
I use the product on average everyday. I wear it to work,on dates, and for photo shoots.I love true match for many many reasons but here are just a few: whether im tanned due to our hot summers or lighter during the winter.I have a shade that fits my skin tone perfectly(soft Sable winter, nut brown summer). Another reason why I love this product is its blend ability. I apply it with a blush brush (I love the area of the brush), and when I blend it in its so smooth and leaves a barely there appearance for a more natural look. This is the ONLY foundation I use! !!!
Most Helpful Critical Review Easy to blend, natural look.
This is a very good product. I used it exclusivley for about 2 years and it is better than and comparable to high end foundations, particularly Prescriptives. However, foundation and powder is just that - foundation and powder. (Unless it is really cheap and orange colored - this kind should never be purchased under any circumstances) Most make-up can be used successfully with the following tips: 1. Avoid it if it is orange - no one is an orange color! 2. Know your undertone color - are you pink, yellow, or blue? If you know this, you will be able to pick a color that matches your skin much better. 3. Know your skin type and moisturize appropriatley - any and all foundation goes on better with moisturizer to help it blend. The trick is getting one that suits your skin type, and applying it in the areas that you need it. Oily skin - use a light oil free foundation. Dry skin - use a moisturizing lotion. Combo skin - use a normal lotion and avoid your t-zone, appying it to your dry areas only. Normal skin can use a regular lotion. Be sure to use lotions specifically formulated for your face! 4. At the risk of sounding trite - less is more! If you are under 50 with good/really nice skin, I would only use foundation/concealer in the areas that you need it and follow with a nice powder to cover everything. If you are 20 and under you may only need a quick sweep of powder or nothing at all. 5. Good skin care is an absolute must! If you have bad skin, nothing will help...build better skin upon a foundation (no pun intended) of a great cleansing regimen and then begin to use cosmetics to perfect your look: A. Gentle-soap free cleanser for dry to normal skin. B. Exfoliant with salytic acid for normal to oily and combo. C. Gentle toner for all skin - may need to dilute with water for sensitive skin or use diluted witch hazel. D. Good moisturizer. (I learned the above after much trial and error, and now my skin is in better shape than when I was a very young woman - and all I wear is a little foundation or concealer and powder all over to finish to. The secret to looking great and dewy faced everyday is great skin care and make-up in small doses! FYI - Price means nothing - L'Oreal is proof of that - I used very expensive make-up for years, only to learn that not taking care of my skin was the issue, not the make-up - your skin care regimen has EVERYTHING to do with how great you look.) Happy hunting everyone.

I tried using it with both a beauty blender and a brush. Both gave me super dry textured skin
This is my forever foundation!
Over 60 from ohio
I love that i finally found my shade.. hope i can do the same thing with lipstick soon.. however this foundation is a lifesaver for me.. as being over 60 i must have something .. it isnt too dark it isnt too light.. however the only gripe is i wish it had a pump and perhaps came in a larger size..
Blendable, light, compares to a CC cream
Dvndiva from Whittier, CA
I wanted something similar to IT CC cream and this does the job. It's creamy, so it's very blendable for my dry skin. I also liked that I found a perfect shade. It's lightweight and covers dark spots lightly and could be set with finishing powder. I wish it did have a pump for a more measured and clean use.
Sensitive / Acne prone skin ladies Need this

I have been on a search for a drugstore foundation that does not break me out or cause a reaction for years and years! I nearly cried when I finally purchased this foundation and tried it for three days and had zero reaction. I have purchased everything from Mac to NARS to Estee Lauder and lower end foundations like wet and wild, Maybelline, etc. and every single drugstore foundation seems to break me out except this one. The non-comedogenic and oil free claims are true. Not only that, but my husband has been complementing how nice my skin looks because when you put this on, it does not look like you have a thick layer of paint on your face like with the Estee Lauder or NARS. I am so incredibly happy to have found an affordable make up that doesn't break me out 🥰
Holy Grail Foundation, I keep coming back to it
Funifuni from Austin, TX
This was my first foundation years ago when I had acne and combination skin. Back then they only started with shade 1C for me and I found it a little dark. However, the finish was always great and made my skin look good. I kept looking for a better shade match and bought expensive foundations from Chanel, MAC, Estee Lauder, NYX, and even LaMer... and I like this one better. After getting on birth control I now have dry, clear skin, and it still makes my skin look great. Now that they added 0.5C it's the perfect match. I keep coming back to this foundation over and over, it just seems to work better than many high-end ones for me.

i've been purchasing the shade alabaster. i have very fair skin and i've always struggled to find my perfect shade because i have pink & cool undertones and get lots of freckles during the summer. this is the one foundation i've found that has made my skin look perfect in the ways i want it to! & it doesn't cover up my freckles as much, which i love! it's not necessarily a full coverage but it comes out beautiful. i will be repurchasing for a long time. i recommend!!
Twice color not right.
Liz from California
Bought twice, both wrong color. Neutral and Warm both colors look too yellow, don't get sun exposure on face so the color I would use isn't good anymore. Don't always use foundation. I am fair to light. Fair colors are too light. Ordered different brand and got right color first time and this is why I only gave 2 stars.
Love the shade range

This foundation is very good and stays all day. It blends well

This color is slightly yellow. But it's a beautiful foundation, not heavy, light, buildable coverage.
Danny from Pittsburgh, PA
I bought this in a pinch. I ran out of my Clinique foundation and due to COVID19 I knew I would not be able to replace it the same day. So I picked this up at my local drugstore. At first impression, I was a bit disappointed with the liquid consistency. However, after two tries I nailed the application. This product is very light weight but has medium coverage. It blended perfectly with my skin tone and is very easy to layer, especially if you need extra layers to cover up small spots. I applied this with a blender wedge and then smoothed over with my bare minerals foundation brush. this product seems to last about 8 hours before it gets a little blotchy, but with setting power it stayed longer. This is a great buy, especially for the money.
Perfect adaptable coverage
Rae from WA
This foundation gives me the high coverage when I need it, but I can also sheer it out just by applying less. For me, this gives a natural, skin-like finish and that doesn't settle anywhere. My favorite foundation!
Unsure, but fell in love

Foundation has great coverag. With a very light hand, I apply with brush and then go over with a damp beauty sponge. Covers imperfections and it looks beautiful on the skin.

W2 & W3 are very yellow
Why is the fair so yellow? from Virginia
The two lightest shades have major yellow undertones. I have blond hair with some strawberry streaks and my skin tone is fair, but not white like completely pale, so I usually don't get the fairest tone, unless it's a concealer for the bridge of my nose and under eye area and tzone but these L'Oréal have such yellows in their blend able foundations
This is a great makeup, goes on well, stays, and great price

Go-to Affordable Foundation
Ellimacj from Downey, CA
This has been my go-to foundation when I'm on a budget. It blends in nicely and easily. Coverage in some areas is not as significant as I would like it to be especially if I have a menstrual cycle acne breakout. Ugh. But this makeup does not seem to clog my pores as much as others. I usually use a brush to apply it, but it's super blendable with sponges or the tips of fingers. It seems like there is a ton of shades from which to choose. For the price, multiple shades, easy application and the non-clogging factor, I'm a fan.
My favorite, ever.
Casey from Michigan
I used to wear this foundation for years, I loved how buildable it was, how natural the finish was, how it was made with a sunscreen that didn't break me out and how affordable it was.. my only issue was at the time the lightest shade 1.0 was too dark for me. I would have to add a white mixer every time I wore it. So, I changed foundations, I've tried Urban Decay, Elf, Anastasia, Clinique, Estee' Lauder and a ton in between out of all of them I love the Anastasia one but it's expensive and also offers no sunscreen so I was browsing around on the Ulta app and saw they had added to shades to this range and a new lightest shade! I ordered it, tried it and it's perfect! The same amazing foundation I know and love from years ago.. looks like I'm back to my tried and true! (I have combo skin, texture, large pores and am acne prone) You need to try this!

I ordered products before the stores closed due to the pandemic. I don't appreciate spending my hard earned money on expired products. As soon as the stores reopen I plan to return this. Completely unacceptable!
All the coverage you want, where you want
L Smith from Fair Oaks, CA
At first, I was a little put off by how liquid this foundation is. Then, I understood what they mean by super blendable. This foundation looks so natural. You can cover more exactly where you need it and cover less everywhere else. It is also gentle on the face and I really like the titanium dioxide spf.
My Tried and True Favorite
Meghan from Yorktown Heights, NY
I have acne and redness and I have done the circuit of $40 high coverage foundations and come back to this one time and again. It is so creamy and easy to blend that it covers problems much easier than the thicker pasty stuff. It wears well, matches undertones well and feels good on the skin. It's affordable and therefore a great everyday makeup. I used to think of this as "teen" makeup but after spending money on the high end stuff I'm convinced this is the foundation for me.
Tia DeFye from Iowa
This is my favorite foundation. I dont need a full coverage foundation and this allows enough of my natural skin to peek through that it looks really good. I wear C3 as I have very fair skin, and it looks good without looking orange. If you want a blank canvas this isnt the foundation for you, if you want something natural looking this is ideal. Blends well with other products and stays on all day.
Ladycroft from Sherman Oaks
Yesss I'm a believer!!this is a really nice extremely blendable foundation! Once your face is done it looks so beautiful. Will definitely purchase again.
Zero Staying Power :(
Carson from OH
I used this foundation happily for years until cystic acne cropped its head for the first time around my 25th birthday. Almost 3 years later I've tried going back to it after my HG foundation was discontinued (UD Naked Skin). I'm not sure if it was my skin or the formulation that changed so drastically, but now this foundation looks TERRIBLE on me.
I always start with a clean, moisturized face and Tarte poreless primer. This foundation applies beautifully and plays nice with concealer, contour, etc. I love the lightweight texture and how buildable the coverage is. With such a great shade range it's easy to find your perfect match. I always set with powder or setting spray and walk away from my vanity feeling confident & beautiful... Until 10-20 minutes pass. By the time I get to work, half of the foundation has either rubbed off or settled into creases around my mouth, nose and eyes. And I'm anal about not touching my face, so I don't think it's user error. My skin is combination oily so my nose and chin take the brunt of losing coverage, yet my cheeks and forehead look cakey as it settles into my pores. Overall my face appears uneven and freaky looking. I have tried multiple primers, application techniques (brush vs blender vs fingers), an array of setting powders/sprays with this foundation but all yield the same result. If this had any staying powder it would be my favorite foundation, but unfortunately that isn't the case. Back to the hunt for a new foundation...
