I use it to chemically exfoliate my skin as this has AHA and BHA. It is an acid mixture. It smells like vinegar because it has acetic acid (vinegar) in it. If you're okay with your skincare having a smell because it doesn't have fragrance, well this is a good sign. It only has a shelf-life of 6 months, so I like using the travel size because I don't feel as if I am being wasteful by buying the full size. I find that it works well in my routine as I use a lot of very moisturizing products in addition to it, so it helps me retain a good moisture barrier and help to reduce the appearance of acne scarring. It is a powerful product, so it can sting. I suggest only having it on your skin for 10 minutes or so before neutralizing it and following up with a hydrating essence or serum. I really like this so far. It's one of those products that gives an immediate result (for me). For example, last night I used this to spot treat a few irritated bumps on my face and this morning I noticed they have gone down in size and are not as red as before.
