Most Helpful Positive Review This is the best shampoo for fine, frizzy hair I never write reviews but I feel compelled to because I'm the type of person that really takes reviews seriously when trying to find a product that works for me. I have tried SO many shampoos and products to try and find one that would give me absolutely NO frizz. I have fine, but very thick hair and it can tend to look dry and dull. I've used oils, serums, creams, you name it. Nothing has actually worked until I found this shampoo and conditioner. Airdrying or blowdrying, it just really works at slicking down each strand of hair and making it frizz free and slightly glossy. I haven't had any problem with it making my hair greasy, but I also rinse it out really well and never put conditioner directly on my scalp, just the ends.
If you're like me and have been looking forever for a shampoo and conditioner that just makes your hair look GOOD then I highly recommend this. Maybe it didn't work for everyone, but it did for me. I recently traveled and had to use a travel size of Kristin Ess's shampoo and conditioner and I was shocked at how dull and dry it made my hair. As soon as I got home, I used this again and my hair went back to "normal."
I really hope this helps someone like me!! :)
Most Helpful Critical Review New formula is very ineffective First off, I bought this and didn't even realize it was a remake of the gold bottle frizz dismiss. I have a bottle of the older formula at home and am satisfied with it so I would not have purchased this had I known.
Secondly, the new formula is very different. I think it smells nicer (I like fruity scents) but it does nothing for my frizz and makes my hair greasy every time. I normally can go two days without washing my hair but with this product I have to clean it every day, and even right after showering my hair immediately feels different... in a bad way. That alone is enough to make me avoid this product, never mind that it does nothing for my curls and frizz.
I've tried bumble & bumble's curl shampoo since purchasing this one and even though it is expensive I like it WAY better. Eliminates frizz, cleans without residue, and keeps my natural curly hair looking its best. Disappointed in Redken with this one.

Okay so the conditioner is dope in itself, made my hair super soft and smells really good, but about an hour or so after I used it my face, neck shoulders and arms started to burn and feel physically hot, so I looked in the mirror and was about the color of the bottle!! I don't think it's any fault to the conditioner, because I use the frizz dismiss shampoo and has always been great! just definitely do your research on the ingredients if you have many allergies or sensitivities to hair products!
I will buy again 5

So every time I use this on myself my hair after a shower is super tangled and I have so much hair fallout!! It scares me on how much my hair was falling out after using this :( so instead I started using it on my hair extensions and they left them silky soft and shiny! I don't think I'll buy this again but I'm definitely using this rest of the product on my hair extensions lol
The product is great but Ulta is not 5

Worst thing ever! 1

I really don't understand how anyone can like this shampoo. It does make your frizz go away but that is because of how much oil this thing leaves in your hair. As soon as I used it my hair felt heavy and oily I couldn't even style it due to how heavy and immobile it made my hair. I tried it a second time and blow dried it and it was just horrible !
Seeing improvements 5
Pixie Dust from Dixie line
I was using Ouidad Curl Quench line was not happy with results. Having curly hair my biggest problem is frizz because when I switched to the Redken Frizz line my hair has improved easier to maintain and more definition. I am happy with the results so I bought the 33 oz.
Only conditioner I'll use 5
TJ from Florida
This conditioner is amazing. One tip is to buy the pump bottle because it is so thick it is hard to get out of the smaller bottle.
fantastic conditioner, helps keep the frizzies away! 5

I've tried SO many different conditioners and always come back to RedKen products. Frizz Dismiss has been my fav for the last couple of years. It doesn't weigh my fine hair down and make it look greasy but gives it enough moisture and protection to keep my hair from flying away with the frizzies!
Only conditioner I will ever buy 5

Use this and the shampoo about twice a week. Smooths my hair and is perfect for a straight frizz free look.

Absolute worst Redken product I ever used 1
laur from florida
I have loyally used Redken products for 10 years. I had been using the clear moisture line for roughly two years and switched to this because I was in a technical school where my hair was getting damaged and frizzy from sweating and wearing my hair in a bun all day. I hated this from the first wash but wanted to give it a while to see if it worked. My hair was so dry and brittle from this shampoo and I noticed a HUGE increase in fallout. I switched right back to clear moisture and my hair felt "normal" after about a week. Horrible formula, wouldn't ever use again.
Never again 1

It makes my hair feel very heavy and greasy and sticky. It's just too think and heavy. My hair is very wavy and frizzy on the top, this did nothing for it.
Yes yes yes!!! 5
Taypotato from Milton, Florida
This conditioner is absolutely fantastic! My hair is shiny, soft, and very easy to brush through. I have long hair so a good conditioner is needed, especially living in a humid place like Florida. Redkin hasn't let me down yet 😍
Redkin is amazing! 5

I love anything Redkin. This shampoo in particular is amazing. It doesn't make my hair feel stripped and dry. You only need a small amount to do the job so your product last longer. I will definitely be sticking with this for a while ❤️
Great hair product 4
Cat66 from Bremerton, WA
I bought all sizes of the bottles. The conditioner is so thick I can't get it out of the bottle without a major struggle. The flip top lid on the regular size bottle broke on the first use. Otherwise, I love the way the shampoo and conditioner leave my hair soft and not frizzy. I did not buy your hairspray because I read where the top also breaks easily.
I always use this shampoo 5

I really like this product especially in the winter with such dryness. Keeps my hair from being frizzy. I have long thick color treated hair
This stuff is perfect for me 5
Kris from Schererville, IN
This is good stuff. I made it all the way through the big bottle without having to switch brands half way. I was able to maintain consistent softness and curl without a bunch of other products to balance out heaviness.

I've tried a variety of 'frizz free' shampoo/conditioner pairs and this, by far, is the best! I bought the small bottles to try and will be purchasing the larger bottles soon.
Scalp redness and hair loss. 3
Sam from Orange county, CA
I decided to try this product because my hair was constantly frizzy due to the condition of my hair and the weather where I live, it worked at first and did what it says it does but I experienced some problems after 3 months of using this product. My scalp became red and sensitive to the point where brushing was actually painful, and I also started to lose a lot of hair. Since I stopped using this product, my scalp and hair seem to be back to normal.
