Most Helpful Positive Review Oh em gee!!!
I have tried many things to clean my tools and weren't as successful as this. My sponges and brushes are saved. Has a pleasant smell, and easy to clean. I did use half of the travel sized bottle to clean 13 brushes and 2 blenders (generously sprayed) but the product isn't too pricey. Will definitely keep buying!!
Most Helpful Critical Review Garbage. Glad I only got a travel size.
I have no clue why this product has 4 stars. I can only assume that either ulta bumps up the #s on its own brand, or people haven't tried literally ANYTHING else to clean their brushes.
First of all, the bottle...it wouldn't spray from the time I received it. Pump moves... No product. Ok.
I really wanted to try it, so I transferred it to an empty little spray bottle I had.
The first time I sprayed it, it made me cough...A LOT. It's a very strong chemical scent. I tried it a few more times and it was irritating to my throat and lungs just being in the bathroom at the sink. I would recommend not spraying it in your bathroom. Maybe try it outside if you are gonna try at all?
I hoped maybe the strong chemicals meant that at least it might do something magical to clean my brushes and sponges.
Seriously...I used it on a beauty blender, loreal sponge, real techniques sponge, and sooooo many different brushes. It left... I'd say about half of the makeup.
The most obvious were brushes with white or pink bristles, or white tips. After this cleanser they still had makeup on them for sure.
I then used my normal cheap Ivory soap that I've always used for cleaning sponges and brushes and POOF! Stains gone. And for waaaaaaay less money.
I would consider returning this cleanser had I not thrown out the bottle.
I don't even know what to do with it besides dump it down the drain. It's not good for anything.

It did a ok job of cleaning my brushes, but there is much better brush cleaners out there. The cleaner also smells like glue in a weird way.

Used to clean makeup brushes. Works better than philosophy facial cleanser or shampoo. Rinses out completely..
horrible smell but good cleaner

wouldn't recommend in a million years over the smell. it was very strong and smelled like cleaning supplies. got my brush I have struggled to get clean almost new again but the smell was an instant no for me.

I bought this product mostly to reach a minimum purchase for free shipping, but was interested in a more thorough way to clean my brushes and beauty blender. I am pleasantly surprised at how well this stuff works. It is nothing like cleaning with soap and water, my brushes and blender are brand new after seconds of cleaning with this. After wetting my brushes and blender I soaked them in the spray, like the directions say, and my goodness the amount of color that came out and washed away was shocking. I wiped them on a paper towel afterwards to help them dry and there was zero color on the paper towel, it took all product off the brushes/blender. I will absolutely purchase again and even enjoyed cleaning because it was so quick with amazing results.

Very strong smell, actually made me cough. The cleanser is not effective - normal soap cleaned more out of my brushes.

Gets the job done well.

This is the best way to clean my brushes, I will not go back to how I was washing them before, this is specifically for brushes. There is a huge difference in the effectiveness, I will never go back to any other way.

This is my go to brush cleaner every time.
Worked like a charm

I was really happy with this cleaner and will definitely be buying the full sized. When I used this I rinsed each brush under warm water, sprayed the cleaner very generously on the end, then swirled the brush in the palm of my hand. Once my palm was soiled with the makeup from the brush, I rinsed the brush and sprayed/washed it on my palm a second time. (Repeating this process until fully cleaned) Most of my brushes were clean after 2 rinses, but I found that the brushes with products with spf took a little bit more work to clean. After cleaning, I gently toweled the brushes off and laid them flat to dry. The bristles all feel brand new again!

A gentle cleanser that removed all makeup from my brushes. I would repurchase, especially since it is so affordable.

Clean brushes and sponges after use
Doesn't Work and Causes Breakouts
AB from PA
I tried hard to make this work but even when I sprayed a ton on my brushes and sponges, I still couldn't get everything off. I also think this broke me out when I used brushes and sponges that I had cleaned with this. I switched to CeraVe baby shampoo and it works a million times better and doesn't break me out.
Smells like lavender
Dre from San Diego CA
I used to use a name brand, more expensive brush cleaner but I totally love this one more, it smells like lavender and works very well! Doesn't seem to dry out the bristles like other cleaners can.

I hated the thought of cleansing my face w/a used cleaning brush. All those oils and pollutants that you would try to remove one night, then reapply the next morning. Yuck!
Best Cleaner so Far
Mads from Florida
I normally struggle to get my brushes and sponges clean. Some products I've used have left a gross smell. This smells good AND does a great job cleaning. It took quite a bit of product to clean about 10 brushes but it is very worth it.

Spray the brush with a few sprays of cleaner - depending on the size of the brush...swirl it around in the palm of your hand a few times, spray again, swirl again. Then cup your hand under water, swirl brush in cupped hand until water runs clean. Works well...but takes the same amount of time (and is less expensive) to use a few drops of Dawn Dishwashing Liquid and a few drops of coconut oil or almond oil, in a bowl of water. Probably won't but again, unless I'm traveling.
Recommend for sponges

Worked wonders on my sponges! Bought it to try and was pleasantly pleased with the turn out. Would have gave it a better rating but I'm not a fan of the scent. Didn't use on my brushes as I use something unscented for my brushes. Would definitely buy again but wish there was an unscented version.

Im going back to using baby shampoo. This stuff leaves a wierd film behind, either that or it doesn't rinse very well.

This product is okay- not great. And much smaller than I expected. Not worth the money.
