How to Use

I've been using this for years on my very short curly staightened hair. It give excellent texturizing hold. I prefer a short spikey texture like Halle Berry short styles. My salon used to carry this product by they are always updating and removing products from the shelf. Too bad...this one should never leave...as they have found NOTHING that works better. Thanks ULTA for continuing to carry it! Nothing else performs and STAYS all day.
Unsuccessfully I have tried this every way you can...a little, a lot, rubbed it vigorously in my hands, softly rubbed it in my fingers—it didn't matter. When "piecing" my short blown dry and curled styled hair, it pulls out the style and makes my hair flop. It's like I took my fingers and stroked sticky water on my hair to undo my style and then have lifeless hair. My daughter bought this at a hair salon but gave it to me because she said she didn't like it and couldn't use it. I don't and can't either. I have no idea how the reviewers love this horrible stuff. I'd give it less than one star if I could.

I was a huge fan of I.C.O.N. Task Gel Wax which was sadly discontinued (the entire styling line seems difficult to find, but that is another story). A stylist recommended Aquage Transforming Paste and I am pleased to report that it has a similar performance. It has a pleasant scent (though perhaps nothing will smell as marvelous as Task did) and offers easily buildable coverage with comfortable yet fairly durable hold. I far prefer the flip-cap tube to the upright pump as the latter is not only difficult to control how much product is dispensed but also leads to excess product drying into a crust at the spout—both of which lead to wasting an expensive product. Your money goes further when using the flip-cap tube and you can also massage the packaging to alleviate any separation of the ingredients between uses. Based on my overall good experience with this product I also tried the companion Lite paste and find that to be a nice and true-to-name lighter weight option for days I seek a more casual style with less element defying hold. Washout for both is easy enough.

Use it after curling my hair, use pea size amount style, holds great and doesn't make your hair sticky.

This is NOT what you get when you order this product. You get it in a squeeze tube. The product doesn't come out the same! I looked all over to find this product in the package that is pictured. I was excited to find it here, but was so disappointed when I received something completely different. I wouldn't have ordered it if I would have known it was going to be the squeeze tube.

I ordered this product for my aunt and she was very upset when she opened the box and found the tube instead of the pump. She claimed that when she bought the pump it was thicker and a year ago used the tube and the tube was not as thick and didn't hold her hair like it should in the pump. I am very upset because I have trust in Ulta but the pictures need to be updated. Pump picture is VERY misleading.

I sent this back. I wanted the pump bottle that is pictured and I was sent the squeeze tube!! Very disappointed!! The picture needs to be changed to go with the order, it's misleading.

I have a lot of odd natural "cow licks" to my hair, and this paste is the best product i've found that masks them while also not just clumping my hair together like glue.

Didn't do much for my short hair. All it did was leave a white residue on my hair, like I had dandruff.

I have short fine hair that is not thick. It's hard to find a product that doesn't weigh down my hair. This works for me!

I love this product and have been using it for years, so was excited to see packaging that appeared to be easier to use and would allow to get all the product out. I ordered it specifically for the packaging, as the price is actually cheaper elsewhere. However, when it arrived, it was the same old tube and not the packaging shown in the picture. Very disappointing...

Aquage is not a well known brand, but this is the best "hair paste" I have ever used. You can use it to smoothen or shape. The texture is amazing and doesn't make your hair look greasy. Love it!

Easy to use, my hair stays styled all day

This does add texture to your hair, but no matter how little I used, my thin, fine hair still ended up looking greasy and dirty by the end of the day. I would give the lite version of this a try, but can't find it in stock anywhere. It's being returned.

I love this product! I have short, thick, course hair. This product gives my hair a messy, separated and piecy look. It lasts all day and doesn't leave your hair feeling dirty. A little goes a long way, and if it feels too thick a drop of water in your palm works good too. It's out of stock a lot, so hardest thing is finding it.

Takes very little, rub hands together then pat together to activate then watch the magic begin! When you learn how to use this product you will love it. My beautician doesn't like it she likes another product that I have tried that I find greasy. If you find it heavy you are using too much start small, movie star results by your own finger tips!

I style and sculpt my hair effortlessly, and it holds all day.

This is the best styling product that I have found ever since Graham Webb stopped making the Brit Style Paste that I used! I tried many and all were not very good, now I have this one!

I love this non greasy texture cream. Rub small amount between your hands and apply all over or where you want more texture. It's clean and doesn't leave your hair sticky. My hairdresser turned me on to this many years ago. I'm so glad I can still get it.

Have used this product for a long time and highly recommend it

I have short hair. I use a dab to sculpt and control. Sometimes I use spray to hold all day. Feels good and makes it look like I have TONS of hair.
