Comments about Hot Tools Tourmaline Tools SuperLite Turbo Ionic Dryer:

I needed a new dryer and decided to get something other than a $35 Conair. I went with this dryer by hot tools and I love it. It's very lightweight and quiet and dries my hair fast.

I love how hot this dryer can get for my thick hair but also I can turn down the heat for my 6 year old who has thin hair. Little louder than I wanted but over all a great product.

Comments about Hot Tools Tourmaline Tools SuperLite Turbo Ionic Dryer:

This didn't cut my drying time at all. Let's get that clear up front, it actually took longer. BUT it did reduce frizz, so much so that I bought the Hot Tools travel dryer to take on trips and I hate packing extra stuff. I used my mother's hairdryer over Christmas and my hair looked awful. I won't use another dryer.

I wanted to like this blowdryer but it was a fail for me. Pros...VERY light weight. Cons...I have baby fine hair and it left my hair so flat it was crazy. After blow drying my hair had NO body at all. I went back to using my Rusk W8TLess. Love the body I get with that one.

            Not impressed

            By Madi

            from Cale coral, Florida

Comments about Hot Tools Tourmaline Tools SuperLite Turbo Ionic Dryer:

After reading all the reviews I was really expecting a decent hair dryer. I have a lot of very thick wavy hair so it takes a long time to dry. Thought this would help speed up the process. Even on the highest setting it still took forever. I suppose it is faster than letting it air dry but I'm not a person that has 3 hours to blow dry their hair.

Comments about Hot Tools Tourmaline Tools SuperLite Turbo Ionic Dryer:

This hairdryer gets 5 stars from me for 2 main reasons: 1- It dries my thick, course, long hair 15 to 20 minutes faster than my previous ceramic dryer. 2- It is so lightweight that my arm doesn't get tired or sore anymore. I no longer dread what used to be a painful task! Thank you Hot Tools!

I noticed the concentrator is open on the sides, wouldn't that inhibit the power of the airflow?

                        A:

The purpose of having the openings on the nozzle is to allow the motor to cool. That's how we were able to create such a lightweight dryer with higher heat settings. In stylist testing with the nozzle pointed directly on a brush, the openings actually extended the amount of heat on the hair. We brushed and dried with the nozzle from the scalp to the ends. Thermal testing showed the hair stayed warmer longer.

How many speeds are there? I don't mean combined with heat settings. I mean speed settings only. My hair is borderline curly, and if the speed is too fast, it straightens out, even with a diffuser.
