Most Helpful Positive Review I Love This Little Straightner I just finished chemo treatments and my hair has been growing back since July 2017 after I lost it ALL. Using this straightener this morning was the first time I've used heat on my hair in a year and a half or more. My hair is a little below my ears, so it's kind of in an in between place where I can't put it up or do much styling with it, but at the same time I needed to do something with it cuz it's came back in wavier than before and no matter how much I comb it, it'll poof out as though I haven't combed it since it started growing back. This little guy worked PERFECTLY with my short hair to straighten it all over. I can't wait for my hair to grow out more and I can buy the larger one and use this one for just touch ups. It is REALLY tiny, so I think it's perfect if you have long hair for touch ups and thinner hair. It got REALLY hot, and I wish it had controls for the heat but I'm happy with it. The pouch/pad is adorable and will definitely save you from burning your counters, whether you use this one or the larger one (or the curling wand/iron). I'm so happy I went ahead and splurged on myself and got Dry Bar for my first straightner after cancer. Along with the bigger straightner, I also plan to invest in both hair-dryers and the curling wand and iron, along with more Dry Bar hair products. I hope other products give me good results, especially for the prices. If they don't, I don't mind going back to using It's A 10.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not what I expected This product is small easy to travel with. When I say small though I mean small. In pictures it looked like it was going to be about half the size as the tress press, but is less than a quarterof it. My hair is long so using it on the go doesn't work well for me. I use it for my roots.

My hair does not hold up under any humidity. With this tiny and very portable tool I can touch up my front pieces and any other unruly spots in minutes. A must have for frizzy, rebellious and disobedient hair!

Very economical for hair touch ups those fly aways !!! I have bangs awesome for them instead of getting out the BIG IRON this little guy does wonders for that. !! This is one way trying a mini too see how it performs and it did I WILL now purchase the BIG iron..let's your hair shiny and frizz free a plus
I would not purchase again. 2

Unfortunately I will be returning this product. It does ok but that's all. I'm used to a straighter with ceramic plates and thought I'd try this when my old one broke. I have this brand of blowdryer and cannot day enough good things about it. I think Dry bar would have a great product if they used ceramic plates instead of metal. It didn't leave my hair as smooth as I would like.
Does the job 5

I purchased this Tiny Press for my roots. I must say I am impressed. This Tiny Iron is definitely Ideal. I am so happy I got it.
Let down 2

I had high hopes for this guy. I got this just for my roots. I have med. thick hair that is professionally bleached. While my hair is thicker most flat irons do the trick. This is NOT a single pass- literally like 5-6 passes JUST FOR MY ROOTS. Honestly my remmington that I've had for literally YEARS (yikes I know) works a thousand times better. Really let down and will not be buying more heated products from this company.
Works wonderfully! 5

I waited until I used this a few times to leave a review. I have a bob, shirt in the back longer on my left side. This is amazing! It straightens the short pieces and fixes the cowlick in the back pretty well (my hair is purple and pink so I wash it less and with cold hair. A little hair spray and straightening works wonders). I have not used it yet to curl but I am looking forward to it.
Great—with some caveats 4

Caveat 1: don't buy this if you're looking for the same power, flexibility and utility as a standard-size straightener, but in a travel friendly size—that's an unrealistic expectation in any case. It's a small smoothing tool, designed for taming flyaways and maybe refreshing a style from the day before—not a runway-ready miracle worker. Use this at the gym to refresh a style (assuming you didn't wash your hair) or if you want some light, no-fuss smoothing between washes when you're traveling.
Caveat 2: if you have thick, coarse and/or long hair, forget it. Honestly, you're gonna have a hard time with any travel-size tool, but you certainly will with this one. The plates are only a few inches long and so micro that you *have* to work in small sections to get enough heat to accomplish the task. You can get away with few larger sections if your hair is on the finer side.
All that said, I have a thick-ish head of fine hair (think Jennifer Aniston) so I tried this out thinking it'd be good for the travel bag. I tried it at home first with both unwashed hair needing some refreshing, and newly blow-dried hair—did a good job straightening/smoothing both ways, albeit taking maybe 30% longer than normal bc I had to work in smaller sections (but I had more control curling ends under than with my larger straightener, so that was a plus). I found it a worthy trade-off though to save space in my gym bag or carry-on or suitcase, so I'm keeping it. I don't like that I can't control the heat, but I travel with heat protectant spray anyway and don't let this thing sit on my hair long, so not a huge deal. I think it'll struggle if I want a wavy style, but straightening-wise, it's all good.
I would definitely recommend this product for anyone 5

I use it on my bangs. It doesn't leave no creases and leaves a shine.

Excellent Purchase. Worth it
Cheaply made 1
Kristen from Denham Springs
I bought it brand new and used it twice then noticed the paint along the edges and corners have already come off. It looked like a straightener used for years but I've only had it for two days and used it twice. I was told it was probably getting too hot but there's no temp gauge, just an on/off switch.
I love love love it! Small just right for my hair length. 5

It's small easy to hold. Cord plenty long enough. Heats quickly.
Touch up presses 5

Pressed touch ups on fresh blowout during travel. No problems but I didn't expect total hair pressing using tiny press.

This flat iron is smaller than my Clarisonic! Don't waste your time or money on this tiny iron, get the full-sized one from the start!
every emo kid needs this!!! 5

the short bangs around my face were impossible to get perfectly straight with my norm straightener. this thing is a miracle worker!!!!
Small hair straightener 4
Mesrat from Ooltewah
Hair straightener works well but hard to manage when you put it on the counter.
Perfect for travel, and also fine hair 5
Lisa56 from Mpls
Perfect for fine hair and travel. I knew this was small, because I bought it in store, and that was obvious. It works perfect for fine short hair, spot straightening. Don't expect it to work on a whole head of long thick hair, that's not what it was designed for, as it's called a Detailing iron. Take small sections.
Returned it way to hot wat to small 1

Very small 2

it is very small to even straighten bangs or roots. it is also not hot enough for thick hair.
Doesn't do what it was supposed to. 1
Sid from Arlington, TX
Bought this item last week and decided to try it today, doesn't do what it is supposed to. Returning it to Ulta this weekend. It takes a very long time to heat and doesn't flat iron the hair properly even after heated.
One of the best buys I have made 5

I just bought this and I have short hair and it is just great. For short hair it is just the right size to spike the haircut.
Awesome!!!!! 5

I bought this to travel with so I could travel with just a carry on. I didn't know it would become my favorite hair tool. I have fine medium length hair and it is perfect for bangs, touch ups and getting close to the scalp. So easy to use. I'm so glad I bought this one. I've tried so many and this mini tool really worked for me. I really would love another one to just keep with me at all times.
Way too small 1
Auntyowl from Massachusetts
This is so small. I bought it for quick touch ups. Too small to really do anything. Does heat up.
Just not for me.
Not worth it 2
LinaShops from Florida
I bought to have for travel but is honestly too small and does not get hot enough. It's not worth the money. Disappointed in Dry Bar.
Finally Found a Tiny Press 5
LinnJenn from Tennessee
Applies a smooth look to my short hair style. A noticeable improvement. Love the heatproof travel bag that came with it.
Cute, compact easy for travel but doesn't get very hot 3
Kim from USA
This is a great little iron for very short hairstyles & bangs as it states. But it's pretty spendy for its use. Could be priced better. Doesn't get hot enough to really smooth longer hair. Leaves it frizzy. But still decent for travel.
