I've used B&B Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner for over a decade. It gave my hair volume and body. My hair was gorgeous using the old formulation. Had I known that B&B was going to change their Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner formulas I would have purchased 10+ years worth of the old formula. I tried the new formulas multiple times. Left my hair flat and lifeless. Just disgusting. I checked the ingredients and just like everyone else now, they've added dimethicone. This form of dimethicone, like other silicone products, is NOT water soluble, so no matter how much one rinses the product builds up on each hair strand, weighing it down and dulling it. I'm returning the reformulated shampoo and conditioner. I still have 1-1/2 travel size bottles of the old formula shampoo and am pairing that with an Aveda conditioner. I've begun my search for another silicone free volumizing shampoo and conditioner because once I run out of the old formula shampoo, I'll be purchasing from a different product line.
